Nice start! So you got the Go Bucks one that popped up. First one I've seen so far. Didn't bid on it as I wanted to wait and see what it went for. He has 25 of that inscription, Heyward only has 2! sad.gif

All the teenage girls went crazy for him when we had him in for a signing, one even cried! He's definitely a fan favorite.

What are you going after of his specifically, Bob?

Looking For Cash or Card/Cash deal.

Looking for $550 Cash Value. SPA football patch autos would be great in trade, or nice Colt McCoys.

When I collected baseball, I enjoyed jersey cards due to the variety of colors. Knowing the bat pieces came from the inner portion of the bat never really excited me.

Today, I think the set would make the decision now. I love the piece of history bat cards, but that would be the only bat I card I would put over jersey cards.

These video cards are not that exciting. With the advancements of cell phones I can see highlights of my favorite players while checking their stats, texting my friends about how great their last game was, then update my fantasy roster, and finally make a call if I need to. A card with a video doesn't bring that much more to the table, unfortunately.

A revolutionary idea for the hobby would be a product that is designed by the collector, the collectors have all the input. From base, to inserts, to memorabilia, to autographs. That would be great.

Considering my disdain for Jim Rome, Jim Everett is a pretty cool guy in my book. Nice collection!

Cody, I'm going to attempt and relate to you here. Let me know if I'm wrong wink.gif

I think as younger collectors (in the 20's age range) we are so saturated with so many options in the collecting market. Kind of like a huge buffet dinner (not all you can eat, cheap). We are so hungry, but have a limited income, so we can't go after the high end prime rib (exquisites, national treasures, expensive vintage). We can load up on the mashed potatoes, ground beef, veggies (lower end sets, mild player collecting, and so on). At the end of the day when we didn't have to pay for the meal we could often times get what we wanted and not have to worry (parents or grandparents supplying our hobby and meals).

We still want that childhood fun of collecting, but sometimes with the hectic schedules its hard to find that right mix of a great collection and something we can handle. I have honed my focus down to this:
-Press Pass Ohio State inscription autographs (have to have the full signature with nickname or inscription).
-Old time Browns signatures or memorabilia cards (on card signatures or cuts with photo, and vintage memorabilia).
-Anything Colt McCoy (base and inserts either pack pull or cheap lot purchases, or freebies tongue.gif) and then I will get the on card signatures.
-Browns team sets: This is where I will get themed sets example being chasing the 2010 contenders Browns Autographs. Consistency is what I really like. I also want to get the 2010 SP authentic TJ Ward and Joe Haden manu patch autos. I like they look of those.

I hope that helps Cody. Sorry to get sidetracked with my collection focuses, hope they give you some ideas.

How can you tell it's fake? I don't do football so I have no idea what these cards should look like. The card and sig are comparable to the others on ebay.

07 Rookie Premiers are notorious for being faked. The seller may not know that, so he could be an honest guy. If you closely compare it to Quinn's real signature you can see inconsistencies.

I find BIN to be the best option for me as a seller. That is overall with any item I sell. Cards I list high because I typically do not want to let them go if they are important to me. Though if I am selling other items (shoes, clothing, electronics), then I want to make sure I get close to what I have spent on it. I usually buy clothes or electronics at a big discount, use them for a little while, then sell to try and break even.

Cards and other collectibles are going to be one of the last genres to revive from the poor economy. It will be a buyers market for a long time, and what few cards I have left I want to try and get max value for them. I have noticed a trend in higher priced rookie cards getting high BIN 30 day listings and hoping for the player to break out and sell it at a high price.

Nice break bo. I was looking forward to SPA this year but after seeing early breaks I'm not too thrilled :/ no buckeye on card signatures either, only stickers sad.gif patch autos do look great despite small patch windows. Thanks for sharing

For a fast food/restaurant- its gotta be BW3's boneless Asian Zing wings...that urge is hard to resist.

At home- A sub bun with the following: ham, lettuce, bacon, kraft single (one slice), spicy brown mustard, and some pepper. That is one tasty sandwich that laughs at anything Subway has to offer.

excuse me while I skip to the fridge...

Well the seller has opened a claim with the USPS, and I am going to turn in the contents to my local usps for possible investigation. The seller said he would send me another phone for the trouble. I actually look forward to working with the seller because he is being very cooperative. He said he packaged the phone with clear tape, and then I received it with priority tape all over it.

did you pay with paypal? If you do not receive the product, they will guarentee a reimbursement if the seller does not contact them back within 10 days

Well the seller is in contact with me, so its not an issue of this being the sellers fault. This is the USPS possibly stealing my item then replacing it during transit.

I just purchased a cell phone to bridge the gap to get me to my next upgrade (current one is one its last figurative legs). Well the seller shipped it priority in a small flat rate box, and when I received it there was only a package of Christmas greeting cards. The seller has been very cooperative, and the box looks like it has been played with and possibly reopened. The seller used priority shipping (shipped out Oct 21 and arrived Oct 25, kind of slow for Priority), so I have a DC, but no insurance was used.

Do I have any chance of making this situation ok, so the seller and myself aren't screwed out of our money and merchandise?

Do you believe he set the price that high because he knows of you? That is quite steep. Good luck!
