So here's a little background. I have 2 of the 4 Lee Stempniak Printing Plates from 16-17 UD2. I figured that once ePack came out, I'd have a decent shot of at least finding the other 2, if not acquiring them. Sure enough, a Stempniak popped up on ePack. After about 3-4 days of going back and forth, the member on ePack agreed to transfer it to COMC so I could buy it, as we couldn't come to a trade agreement.

So fast forward to last night, where I see he has let me know it's been transferred to COMC. Here's where we take a downhill spiral.

I get to COMC, and what do I find? The Printing Plate has been scooped up by "Sportscardheaven" (banned here, a member on SCF, won't put his username public) at the $25 price tag it was on there for, and promptly relisted for a very reasonable $399.99.

Are you kidding me. Maybe I'm over reacting but I am so completely disgusted, outraged, and downright sick of garbage like this happening. I get the whole "you can ask what you want for your cards" deal, but this is just a complete slap in the face.

What irritates me even more, is there are plenty of printing plates on COMC that he hasn't/doesn't scoop up of better players. Duncan Keith - $25, Alex Galchenyuk - $40, Kevin Fiala - $35, Nathan Mackinnon - $32, David Krejci - $31, and I could keep going on forever. So why does this guy insist on buying up Stempniak stuff to relist it and have it sit in his COMC port forever? It's not like he's a prospect, and you are hoping he picks up and values sky rocket, that simply isn't going to happen.

To put this in perspective, here are the non-Cup printing plates currently priced higher than Lee Stempniak on COMC:

Auston Matthews YG Plate - $2,000
Patrik Laine Compendium - $500
Sidney Crosby UD Plate - $500
Marner/Laine Checklist YG Plate - $400
Patrik Laine Compendium - $400
Lee Stempniak UD - $400

I can say undoubtedly that 110% of the reason I'm still around is because of the good people in this hobby, but people like this just completely blow my mind, and make me reconsider even bothering with stuff like this. You work with the good people, someone goes to help you out and instead you just get blindsided and kicked to the ground by the complete you know what's of this hobby. Absolutely unbelievable.

End rant

That stinks on so many levels. First they guy you were trying to deal with and couldn't that finally agreed to post it for sale at COMC (could have been as easily on Ebay). Then the hosehead guy who flipped it. Oh gee he discounted it to $300.06

Derrick, don't sweat it, this is a hobby! I know it ticks you off, but there are some people that are only out for themselves. You can't let it get to you. Heck, I have had people ask for cards that sell for $30 on ebay, for 10 $0.05 green MVP parallels, and other stupid stuff like that, and what kills you is that they are people with high trade stats so who knows who they have taken advantage of in other deals. Too many people now days in this hobby for the flip and to make a buck. Collect what you can and flip the guy who goofed you over a bird and move on. laugh.gif I know that won't help, but a donkey is what he is (insert other animal name here).
