They hoovered the place out versus the lowly raiders.. Jeez Ding-dong Ben threw more TD completions to that one CB for the raiders than he did any Steelers receivers..

The secondary is horrible.
The Linebackers look uninspired.

But ben looks out of it.. He is not getting good reads at the line and he is underthrowing/overthrowing receivers on every other pass attempt.

Ive heard of world champion hangovers but this is all a little too much..

If the rest of the AFC black and Blue was playing to potential the Steelers would be eliminated already from playoff contention.. (I think they are but refuse to tell myself)

I think Cowher needs to consider bemching Ben until his cobwebs are swept away.. Batch hasnt looked bad and he certainly can read a defense!

Bill ya listening out there.. Bench ben for a week or two.. Fire up Labeau and that defense.. have the trainers double check Ward's hammy he doesnt look right either..

You're gonna need a 6 game win streak to bring yourself to the brink of the playoffs and personally I havent seen any reason to believe you can do it..

I agree. I know some think that it would be a wrong decision to bench Ben, as he is THE quarterback for Detroit, but he just isn't right. Give him a little bit of rest, and bring Batch in; he has one of their wins, and played well against Atlanta.

THe "D" actually played a decent game. It's sort of hard to win when your offense is allowing the opposing "D" two TD's.

We need a crushing RB, should have kept Cedric Humes, he would have helped them in the Red Zone. Willie is great outside of it but doesn't have the mass to hurt someone when he runs.

While Ben is playing Sub-Par I have mixed feelings about benching him. I truly believe he shouldn't have played this game but can't think for Cowher here. Good luck on that decision, coach.

I truly think we got hurt in the offseason. Too many key positions either reitred or playing for other teams. I bet Antwaan wishes he was still in Pitt, not that we are doing any better than the Deadskins.

things are gonna turn around, I know it looks bleak but lets not loose hope yet. There is still that slight possiblity they can pull something amazing off.

there are tons of die hard steelers fans here and I have heard it many times this season already that Batch should be the starter. Ben has had 3 surgeries in a year and just isnt back to where he once was and noone really knows if he will get back to it.

Willie is not a suprise to defenses like he was last year and without Bus there is no power back.

You cannot blame everything on Ben. Receivers have to: 1 get open and 2 catch the ball. Sometimes it is a bad throw, sometimes it is a bad route ran. In addition the fumbles have happened from more then just Ben. He needs to keep playing, worst case it is a losing season, but something to build on. If you pull him for Batch how is that helping the team? Batch is not your starter and only should be in the case of injury or really terrible play by the QB. Can't blame the QB when there is no running game or O line protecting him.

Here is my question for Cowher, why are you wasting a roster spot on a running back that is not going to play? Why are we keeping Duce on the roster?

As for the D they have played pretty well all year considering some of the predicaments the offense has put them in and all their injuries. Troy played hurt, Porter was hurt and they still played well enough to be in every game.

Face it the Steelers are a little beat up, a little green (rookies), but this team will mesh together and be better next year.
