Hey guys,
One of my big goals right now is to finally finish a vintage flagship Topps set that I should have more of than I currently do (as of this writing I only have 94/598 - 599 w/one Checklist variation). I should in theory already have this set complete or near complete.

Well in celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the 1965 Topps Baseball set next year in 2015 (and *ahem* my own 50th *ahem* birthday in April on the 4th - Tris Speaker birthdate) I have set a goal to COMPLETE the 1965 Topps Baseball Set.

I realize that some of the huge named guys (usually the super legendary Yankees and Dodgers players, Mantle, Koufax, Williams, Berra and the like) will be difficult to find/get for my limited funds/sources.

I would love to be able to just get these from trades and gifts, but can make some small purchases for needed cards to complete the set. I am not looking for Nearmint or Mint (although it would be nice) I will accept some of the lower conditions of good down to poor and maybe even some really really poor, but they must still have all the info on the back. I don't mind creases and some off-centering (total miscuts however, eeeeh not so much). I will accept marked checklists but of course would prefer unmarked. Just so long as the checklists are not the ones that look like they were used as coloring books with everything all marked out making it difficult to read everything.

List update to reflect some semi-recent pickups.

I have 4 Yankees coming in #s 13, 30, 65, 137 from a SCF sale. Paying a little more than I'd like since they are common players $25 delivered (that is $6.25 each)

Wow really need to update this.

UPDATE: Updated list. Showing the cards I need. To avoid confusion I deleted the striked out ones I had gotten since I first started this project.

I started out in early January only having a measly 94 cards from this set. I now have 176 (174 different + 2 Variants of 2 Checklists).

I have all the checklists and the Senators Team set. I don't think I have any of the other teams completed yet.

I recently got two cards from Sportlots auctions I haven't marked them yet. I'll get around to that in a few days I guess.
