QUOTE(heynetboy @ May 24 2009, 10:26 PM) #1. GREED. I don't like how some people on chase the hot rookies and only the most expensive cards. Find something you like regardless of the money and you will enjoy the hobby a lot more. Some of my favorite cards are cheap ones that will never be worth anything. #2. Lack of card shows. Where I live we used to have 2 shows a month now maybe 2 a year and they suck. I agree, lack of shows is a big bummer for me! I can go to about one show every six months maybe, unless I want to drive about 5 hours (no thank you)......... Justin

QUOTE(road_runner_1964 @ Jul 30 2009, 10:16 AM) Good one... Don't know what I would do if another 264 collector showed up...... I've been trying and trying to work 264 into my collection somehow but it just doesn't work.

QUOTE(snowblink @ Oct 24 2009, 03:35 PM) Finding someone with a card you want, that sits on their trade list for years. But when you contact them with a new trade list every few months, they just can't ever find anything they could possibly trade that card to you for. . This happens with me also. To me, if it's an insert/base/normal parallel, then I would trade so the other collector can get what they want. However, if the card is "rare" then you just need to hit the "right notes" with what they collect. Hang in there and keep searching for stuff they possibly can use. On the flip side, I get people asking for specific cards and they tell me that it's not worth anything and that I should sell it to them for less than I paid for it. No effort in finding something I need or want - rather just give it to me. In these cases, I prefer to just keep my worthless card.

QUOTE(dielonthug @ Oct 26 2009, 06:27 PM) Greed is a big one. Whats happening on youtube right now is pretty sad, alot of group breakers charging excessive amounts for group breaks, paying for their own spots plus charging extra making money on every break they do. I really hate people that think its a hustle. Not that I necessarily agree with all what is going on Youtube or whatever, but to play devil's advocate, if others are willing to actually pay that much to join the group break, why not charge that much? I mean it's not like anyone is forcing the others to join. That's like saying someone shouldn't charge a certain amount for a card even if they could realistically sell it for that price, whether it was high or not. And even if the people aren't willing to pay, then there's always tons of other breaks on Youtube, I'm sure. Just move along to the next one; it shouldn't be a huge deal.
