Time for the return of the Monthly break:
Breaks will focus on higher-end product with some mid-end stuff mixed in. Years will focus on 2010 (when the better products start coming out), 2009 and 2008; with some 2007 and 2006 mixed in on occasion. I prefer to break sealed cases but will be open for whatever people would like to do. After the first month, I will random all the breakers to come up with an order to have a co-breaker each month, that will help me decide on what products we will break, and they will also be rewarded with special bonuses hand-picked by me for their help for the month and my way of rewarding each of you for being parts of my breaks and allowing to bust hobby boxes I would never had a chance to on my own. I will still do all the work, but the co-breaker will have the benefit of helping coming up with a mix of products that they like.

Pricing/Team determination:
Many of my previous breakers from my breaks have claimed certain teams already. Each month, the member who holds a team will have the option to retain the team the following month. Pricing each month will vary for each team. I will use my best judgment to price teams fairly. Hopefully the tiered pricing system will allow members who collect teams that may not have the top rookies or legends cards in certain products to still join the break at a lower price. For month 1, there will be 16 members required and all members will have a second team that will be drafted after a randomization to determine the draft order. Please keep in mind that as the products/years of products change each month, the pricing for your particular team may change, for example, if we don’t break and 2009 products one month, the Jets (Sanchez/Green) will not be in the higher priced bucket; whereas if we are breaking all 2008 product, the Ravens would (Flacco and Ray Rice). The first month will have 16 members, but hopefully we can grow the group to more than that and be able to open more product each month or reduce the costs per spot.
Break Costs:
The fees collected will cover the cases, all paypal fees, supplies and shipping. The case will be purchased from BLOWOUTCARDS.COM, BigTSportscards, or Atlantasportscards, or other reputable dealer depending on who can offer the best pricing. As always, if for some reason we end up getting a better deal on a case then I have priced the break, I will buy a bonus box to cover the difference.
Payment:
Only paypal will be accepted and is due when break fills prior to the random unless other arrangements are made with me. Anyone who can make early payment will be appreciated and might secure us prepaying and getting a better price on the case. Paypal address is tkdean@hotmail.com
Break Dates/Payments Due:
Payments will be due May 12th with the break to take place the following week.
Card Determination and Cards with multiple Teams:
All cards will be given to the holder of the team shown on the card. The team in writing will take precedent over the pictured team if for some reason someone is pictured in their old team’s uniform but the card has the new team in writing. Any with multiple teams on the cards will follow the following process. If the card has one team that was a selected “held team” and a random drafted team, the card will go to the held team. If both were held or both random, it will be randomed on random.org. For triples, quads…….., if one person owns more than 50% of the cards teams with their held teams it will go to them. If not, it will be randomed between all held teams on the card (*random/drafted teams will not count for any of the multiple team cards). Any retired stars that played for multiple teams and they are featured in there college uniform on the card will go to the team played the most years for. Any cut signatures or other items not related to an current NFL team or Franchise will be randomed.

Sounds good Ernie, I switched the random back to you, put it down to $35 instead of $40 as it would have been $95 total for the full spot when you joined in.
Just ran my half marathon this morning! Went well and body feels very good considering! Now that thats finished, we need to get filling this break finished. Two spots to go! Ordered the LCM the other day and have made arrangements for the N Treasures order so will have that order in tommorrow, so we are still moving forward, just hope to fill these last two spots at $95.
Who else want to be in a break this weak?

LCM was attempted to be delivered yesterday so I have it scheduled to be re-delivered tommorrow or Thursday (whenever the N Treasures shows up) so I can be home to sign for both at once.
Let's get these last couple spots filled so we can break this week. I will probably take another one to help fill but still need two more filled otherwise.
Also, remember that each member will retain there team (if they choose) for future months, and the list of members will be randomized after this break for the order of members to help me pick the product each month in the future. So next month, one member will get to pick the product (or at least help pick) and also get other perks (see original post). That said, some very good 2010 teams available if anyone wants to secure them now at the lower price for this break.

Would love to be able to break either this afternoon or tonight at around 10 ET (have softball untill then). May have time before softball but would have to wait and see on that. If we do end up breaking today or tonight, would anyone be opposed to a straight random of the teams rather than a random and draft (to save time)? Also, what time do you guys prefer?
If we are unable to make it happen tonight, it will have to wait untill Sunday as I will be leaving out of town to go to PA to spend the weekend wedding planning 
. The big day is getting closer!
Anyway, let me know your guys thought on random for teams and break time.
And, more importantly....lets fill the last two spots! Who wants to be in a break today?

I think I have come to a decision that it will be too long a night for me to do the whole break at 10:00pm ET. What will work best for me is probably doing the LCM at 4:00 ET (I would do the randomization immediately before the break). Then maybe save the N Treasures for 10:00 ET. If we have time, we could do both cases at 4:00Pm (would have to get to the N Treasures by around 5:00) but would need some more confirmations that this would be ok. If not, we'll go with the 10:00 N Treasures so people have more of a heads up as far as break time goes and might be able to have more people live.
Let me know your thoughts and still one spot to fill!
I think consensus is that we would rather not wait untill Sunday and get it done today and this is probably the easiest way for me to make that happen.

I am going to go ahead an pick up the last spot with the Browns to fill this. Doesn't look like many people are around, but I have started the broadcast and at least will do the random now. If we get a few more members around, I will start the break as well. If not, we will move it to 10:00pm (if I can't finish tonight, I'll find a way to come home from work early tommorrow to get it done before the weekend to not keep you guys waiting any longer).

Break is complete. We hit some nice stuff (unfortunately the same teams hit a lot of the cards, but congrats to those teams).
We were able to get the whole break done in time before softball which works out better for me. Sorry for those who were not around but just worked out better to get it done now to ensure you guys would not have to wait till Sunday for the break. Anyway.......

Hey TK thanks for the break. I was just wondering on the triple Elway, Young, Moon National treasures triple Jersey card #ed /99. Is that going to have to be randomed because I own 2 of those teams if the oilers cards go to the Titans right. I am just wondering just lmk when you get some time thanks.

No problem! And I'm excited for next month too. I was frustrated and a little discouraged from not being able to fill but now that we pulled some very nice cards it has turned my spirits about the break back around
. Now next month just need to hit some Jets for me!As I mentioned, I will do a random of all members for a "co-host" order to help me pick next month's break. If I get a chance tommorrow I will do the random so we can start talking about it and get the break posted early to fill this time.

Not sure yet, depends on who will be helping me decide. When I get back on Sunday, I'll random the member list from this month, and first on the list will be next month's break "co-host" and will pick the break (with my assistance and within the price range and staying consistent with the higher-end product theme and recent years products).
We will also be setting it up slightly different next month to help filling and to hopefully generate more funds for breakage without having the initial spots price-tags too high. More to come on this when I get the break posted.
Heading out of town for the weekend in a few minutes, but will get cards organized/shipped, transactions up, and hopefully next month posted up early next week.

Going to do a random for the member "co-host" of the month list going forward starting for next month. If you have more than one spot, your name is included more than once, however, once randomed, them members with more than one spots second spots will be put at the bottom of the order so we don't have the same "co-host" too close together. Co-host will help pick the products and also receive a special bonus for the month from me (and potentially other breakers if they want to get involved). Once we do, I'll get the break posted up and you guys can reclaim or choose to drop/change your team. I think I'll set up things slightly different as I mentioned before, but everyone will retain there current teams.

In talks now with the "co-host of the month" Brandt504. Wee've come up with some ideas and we are just working out some ideas and budget before I post it up.
So far possibly looking to switch it up and do some Topps Triple Threads and maybe some Absolute, but that is just preliminary talks so may change once we work out the details. Hopefully have something together in the next couple of days.

No, all teams that were not taken last month are available going into June's break right now. Also, I will not be reclaiming the extra two teams I had for May so that free's up two more. All other teams will have the opportunity to be reclaimed by their current holders, and if they decide to pass on next month, those teams will become available as well. Once I have next month posted up, it will be easier to follow but for now, these teams are available if anyone wants to claim one before I have it posted, and if there is a team your interested in that is already taken, I can put you on a waiting list for them:

Sounds good, I'll put you down for the Panthers for now and feel free to change once the break is posted up. Anybody else want to get in the June break now before I post the break up tommorrow? From prelimary discussions, June's break will be primarily 2009 with some 2008 and 2007 mixed in. Teams pricing will vary depending on the team (the "better" teams will cost more, as compared to other teams that may not have as many rookies in the products we are breaking).

I have the basic line-up in place (after reccomendations of Brandt504) and will be focused on 2009 products again this month with some 2008 and maybe even 2007. Break will primarily be Topps Triple Threads and National Treasures. Sorry for the delay in getting it posted up but have been very busy this week. Hopefully get it up today.

Argggg!!!!! Too much pressure!
Started posting up and then started second guessing the current line-up, just didn't know if we'd be able to fill it as we have it currently set.
I'll PM Brandt again and see if we can adjust it. Just want to get the best value for everyone and also don't want to be stressed about it not filling in time (I've got enough stress with the wedding coming up in 35 days
).

Haha TK. I remember planning for my wedding so many hours of planning for one weekend. But it is all worth it is awesome to get everyone together in one place, our wedding was a huge party 
. Just make sure to enjoy it and dont get too stressed over small things, everything will work out great.....haha and if not just make sure to have alchohol for the guests...and yourself....and no one will complain
Topps triple threads even though it is a nice product the resale value is terrible, rookie jersey autos of top players do not sell very well. Just my opinion though and I am not up to choose....I really don't care what we break as long as we get some NT or Exquisite in there I am happy.

agreed (with the football portion of the comments, don't know about the wedding thing yet). threads is a nice complimentary product, but i don't think it can pull off a team based break very well. i think with a break like this products that spread the hits between the hot rookies and the proven vets, hof'ers work the best as it makes a greater portion of the teams more desirable.

Quick update, I have been very busy over the last week or so and will continue to be busy for the coming couple of months (wedding a month away, work, etc.). I apologize for not moving forward with this as quick as I would have liked. I will hopefully get the new break up or give more of an update of it this week and we can go from there.
Again guys I'm sorry, we will still move forward with the monthly break, but may just have to be pushed back a little bit for this month.

Some things are more important than cards. Just not many LOL!! You have to keep that future wife happy if you want to keep doing breaks at all so take all the time you need TK. Good luck
