I know cost is a scary thing on this one so just think of it as a triple 9 box case break (27 boxes) for $110. If you want to double up on the boxes for a team you can for an extra $100. Great teams available with possible rookies of Trent Edwards, Marshawn Lynch, Steve Slaton, Chris Johnson, Dwayne Bowe, Jonathan Stewart, and countless others as we're talking cases or 2007, 2008, and the new release of 2009!

More specifically, you get ALL of the cards of your team from 27 of the boxes. And the other person gets ALL of the cards from the other 27 boxes.

Yep...that's it. You get all the cards from your team in boxes 1-9 of each case...and the other half team owner gets all the cards pulled from boxes 10-18.

Ok guys...I'll be putting out a Youtube video to try to lure some people to TCC to fill out the last few slots we need. We'll see where this goes based on those results. The alternative would be to go with what we have and cut a few boxes which I'd rather not do obviously. If nothing else I'll take the other half of the Colts and maybe even Ravens too depending on if anybody else wanted them or not but we still need a few slots more!

I hate tyo say it but I'll have to put you on the waitlist for it as they were claimed the night before when the video went up on Youtube. Since it's a new collector to my breaks unfortunately there's a decent chance they may fall through in which case they are yours.

Meanwhile I will take the other half of the Ravens but they are still available if anyone out there would like to take them instead.

When you say a half is split by boxes 1-9 and 10-18 this means you won't be breaking the boxes in order? For example the 2007 case first, then the 2008 case and finally the 2009 case? Otherwise, each half won't get a piece of each case. What will the break order be so that each half gets boxes from all three years? When you first mentioned halves I thought maybe one person would get all of the odd boxes (1-3-5-7-etc) and the other would get all of the even (2-4-6-8-etc) boxes busted.

I just mean that the person "A" with a half slot will get all the cards from boxes 1-9 from each case. I'll still open up the cases in order so if Joe has half the Dolphins and Bob has the other half... I'll open up the 2007 case first and Joe gets all the Dolphins in boxes 1-9 and Bob gets all the Dolphins puled in boxes 10-18. Then we open the 2008 case and Joe gets all the Dolphins cards in boxes 1-9 and Bob gets all the Dolphins cards in boxes 10-18. The we open the 2009 case and follow the same process so with a half slot you are owner of that team in half of each case.

If that doesn't make sense please let me know as I want everyone to understand the concept prior to the break.

By the way...who's taking the Dolphins anyway??

Will do. By the way it's only $75 for the random and it will be a random team assigned as opposed to a draft order. Once they are assigned however we can trade teams if others are interested.

Anybody else for one of the randoms? That's $75 for all the teams cards in all 54 boxes!! You must however be an active participant in the break to sign up for a random team.

I guess it's not that I'm opposed to it I guess. Let's give it a few days and see if anyone else who may want a random chime in. If the majority prefer a random draft order as opposed to a random team assignment then I'm open to that. Sound good?

Ok all...in an effort to make this break happen I have just claimed an additional two slots which gets us to an even 20 full slots worth. What that means is that we have to make a decision on this break as we are still short by quite a bit. With the release date of 09 Absolute approaching fast we need to decide what we want to do on this break. We have obviously stalled on adding new members so I see two options;

1. Cancel the break (which I'd rather not do since I already bought one of the cases)

2. Proceed with the break but take out 2 boxes from each case as our funds (if we fill all the random slots at $75 each) are short by that amount. That would make this a 16 box break for each of the years 2007-2008-2009. That's still 48 boxes of Absolute Memorabilia and without a case hit in this product we won't be shorting ourselves any specific hit. I will then take the extra 2 boxes from each case to sprinkle in to my other monthly breaks over the next several months.

So, what I need to hear from all those currently signed up for this break is are you still in if we proceed with a 16 box per year break?

Also, I received no feedback in favor of random team assignments so we will proceed with a random draft order for those random slots at $75 for the full slot (or $40 for a half).

or i you get 10 more for all spots and 10 for each random draft slot. then we would have to eliminate less boxes. and the two spots that we don't fill. will be the two teams that do not get drafted. and after all boxes are broke you could do a random for anyone in break for the cards of those two teams. just an idea

Seriously nobody wants the half slot for the Packers?? That's one slot I never thought would be tough to fill! I took it as an extra but would gladly give it up to someone else as I can't really afford to take as many teams as I did!

Ok guys...this break has been much more of a challenge than I thought! We had 16 slots filled in the first 8 hours of putting this up and we now stand at 18 slots full. The Redskins came open as did the Steelers (half slot). As I mentioned I picked up the Steelers half slot but would gladly give that up to anyone wanting them. In the meantime though I have had some family issues come up that make it (let's just say not a smart idea) to pick up all these extra teams so I've had to drop the Browns and Titans as well as the half slot of Dolphins I had picked up from other peoples drops. With just a couple payments to go (Adub4545 and Blitz46) we are at another decision time. We can move forward and do the break with the 18 slots filled and make the others available in the random team draft but that would leave us well short of funds and we would have to cut our product list back another two boxes so we would now be doing a 14 box break for each year (42 total boxes for the full slot and 21 boxes for the half slots). That being said I need to hear if this will be a deal breaker for anyone. If it is we will have no choice but to call this one a bust as I simply can't afford to take on the extra slots that I normally would in this type of situation. Obviously I'd refund in full. I'd prefer to continue the break but this is obviously a fairly big change from where we started so I'll understand if anyone needs to back out. I am emailing all I have email addresses for to inform them as we need to decide this in the next day or so with the product scheduled to release this week!

No, the price would remain the same. Instead of 22 people paying $220 we have 18 people paying $220. It's either have people pay extra per slot or cut the number of boxes we have to fund. With the price already pretty steep I chose to cut the product down to match the funds available.

Again, if the 14 box (per year) arrangement is not worth it to people than we'd need to cancel this one as I can't see asking for more money instead. Hope that makes sense?

I'm thinking it might be better just to scrap this one Chris. The original configuration was 18 boxes per year right? And now for the same slot price we're down to 14 boxes per year. Value-wise, it's tough thinking that we're losing 4 boxes worth of hits each year for our buy-in. I'd rather see you drop this one and dream up another mega break which fills properly. Why sell ourselves short.

I think as more 2009 products come out, and we get a little bit more into the season, a mega break would be more successful.

I am still interested and very excited for this break. hopefully it stays if not. I see you are having trouble filling your high end group. if you ever decide to open another hobby group like the one you have for 50/ 45 dollars a spot. let me know I think it would fill up quickly as to I know I would take two spots right off the bat. I should have probably read the thread a bit better before committing on this one, but I have to agree with Barrow that this doesn't seem quite the value break I thought if we are losing that many boxes. It also appears that you are having to take a big hit on this one Chris taking additional teams.

I haven't paid as yet, (was planning on doing so today) but would probably prefer to drop out if that is the choice.

Chris, let me know what you decide. I was expecting full case breaks for the amount I paid. Perhaps if the teams were sold in increments of a 1/3 (2 boxes per) instead of a 1/2 (3 boxes per) because of buyer limitations, it might have gotten more people involved. Or possibly, sell in 1/3 increments with buyers limited to only one slot per team so others may have a chance at them, yes?

I understand the concerns guys and I actually agree that changing from an 18 box to a 14 box break (per year) due to the lack of filled slots is a big enough change to see some more dropouts and that's what I have received so unfortunately we will have to shelve this one. I will work on doing full refunds to all via a paypal refund so no fees are incurred and should be able to get all that done tonight! Sorry once again about having to cancel but unfortunately there just isn't enough interest in this one to make it fly. Thanks to all who signed up in the first place!
