i was thinking more of trading unsigned cards but that is only because i had not thought of trading signed cards.  we'll figure it out when the season gets started.  hopefully, we can get a few others involved.

Sounds good, just let me know.

The upsets are what I love and hate at the same time. As the old football movie goes, on Any Given Sunday. Well, in any given game during the NCAA any team can win. Like with George Mason 2 years ago, it also brings about great stories, and great reasons to root for the underdog. It is America at its best, the underdog prevailing over the favorite.

nick...wow, you have some great stuff.  do you do this full time or just on the side?  i'll be getting together some cards when the teams announce rosters and i'll try to post a want list.  feel free to do the same.  my card stock is heavy in the eighties and early nineties (great for coaches).  i got out of collecting for a few years in the late nineties and picked it back up over the last several years.  hope we can get a few more guys to help out.  would love to put some of my old commons and newer cards that i will never do anything with to good use.
*

Thanks. I have just got into selling stuff. I have been doing the minors now for four years, two years really heavy. What we do for minor league trading is a 50/50. So say you send me 4 cards of x, I would get 2 signed for you, and keep 2 to get signed myself. If you wanted to do that, that would be cool, or we could trade unsigned cards, whatever you would want to do.

I was able to upload about 70% of my Personal Collection (I don't count cards as a part of this percentage) to a separate part of my site. This is not my whole personal collection, but is most of it. There are many signed balls, photos, bats and of course plenty of cards not up there right now.

None of these pieces are for trade/sell so please do not ask. Just enjoy!

Personal Collection

Thanks

McCain returned to NH for a town hall "thank you" meeting. He wasn't bad today, and was in a lot cheerier mood. He even did one baseball for someone. I was able to get a book done, tried for a photo after but he wasn't doing it.

Did Bill Clinton today in Rhode Island. Had a feeling it was going to go bad, but at least I ended up with 2 things signed. I was able to get a hardcover My Life book, and a 4x6 ticket thing signed on the back. I'll probably just turn that into a cut, and mat it with an 8x10 and make it look nice.

Bill Clinton 0/1, 1/1, 1/1

Obama maybe on Saturday, but probably not.

LA Dodgers:
Today was my first ST experience, and I have to say, I loved it. I missed a few key set guys I really wanted, but I thought it was a decent day all around. I would rate the day a B/B+.

My main goal today was Joe Torre on my Rudy Giuliani 8x10's already signed by Rudy. Those got done, so I am very happy right now. Torre just sat there at one point, and signed for an hour. If I wasn't concerned with everyone else, I could've easily gotten 20+ things done.

Joe Torre 2/2, 1/1 ss omlb, 1/1 ss omlb, 1/1 ss omlb, 1/1 ss omlb
Tommy Lasorda 1/1 ss omlb, 1/1 ss omlb, 1/1 ss omlb (Miserable guy)
Matt Kemp 2/2 cards, 1/1 ss omlb, 1/1 ss omlb, 1/1 ss omlb (Outstanding guy)
Andy LaRoche 1/1 ss omlb
Jon Broxton 1/4 (Guy seems to be rough)
Hong-Chih Kuo 1/2, 1/1
Esteban Loaiza 2/3, 1/1 (Gave one to his brother because I guess he had never seen it before)
Derek Lowe 1/2
Jon Meloan 25/25 (Very genuine, and nice. Said he would get me after he hit, and came right over after.)
Justin Orenduff 1/1 (Also very nice)
Scott Proctor 3/3
Chin-lung Hu 1/1 ss omlb, 1/1, 1/1
Andre Ethier 1/1 ss omlb, 0/1 (He was a jerk)
Chan Ho Park 1/2 (Nice scribble signature...a bunch of circles lol)
Tanyon Sturtze 2/8
John-Ford Griffin 1/1
Bill Mueller 5/5

Guys who denied me, but signed at certain spots when I was getting others:
Billingsley (He is a jerk)
Kuroda
Penny
Saito
Schmidt
Martin

Guys who weren't there:
Mattingly (Showing up tomorrow according to Torre, and a few others)
Nomar
Furcal
Jones
Kershaw
Pierre
Lombard (Shocked on that one, considering he was a nri)
Kent
Loney
Sweeney

Braves/Astros Double Header tomorrow
-----------------------------------------
02/18/08:
We pulled double duty today with the Braves and Astros. Astros sucked. Not many signed, and it was just crazy. Braves was great, mainly because of two HOF'ers. I will be doing the Braves again as we decided not to do the Stros again.

Braves:
Tom Glavine 2/2 ss omlb, 2/2 ss omlb (With Cy 91+98 on 2 of them, and 300 wins on one of the cy balls)
Chipper Jones 1/1 ss omlb (with nl mvp), 1/1 ss omlb with nl mvp, 1/1, 1/1, 1/1
Matt Diaz 1/1
Brandon Jones 2/2
Brayan Pena 1/1
Kelly Johnson 2/2
Chris Chambliss 1/1 ss omlb
Jeff Francoeur 2/2 (SI and 8x10)

Astros:
Hunter Pence 1/1 ss omlb, 1/1 black bat (Personalizing ss balls, bats, 8x10's) Glad he signed, but he had a real sense of entitlement to him, and kept on telling everyone that he had signed for them, when some of us had just got there)
Brandon Backe 1/1
Ryan Houston 1/1
Felipe Paulino 4/4 (Very nice guy)
Jose Valverde 1/1
Woody Williams 2/5 (Surprised because he usually does everything)
Brad Ausmus 1/1
JR House 2/2
Kaz Matsui 1/1
Mike Bourn 3/6
J.R. Towles 4/4 (Very nice guy. Did everything you handed him.)
Brad Ausmus 1/2, 1/1
Jose Cruz JR 1/1 (Big one for my set lol)
Cecil cooper 1/1 ss omlb

Totals:

Not a great quantity day, but two hof locks on multiple items, is a very good quality day.

I did the Tigers today. It turned out to be a half way decent day, but it sucked starting out. Of course a lot the minor leaguers were there, and I didn't have any of my stuff for them.

Ivan Rodriguez 1/1 ss omlb, 1/1 set card (one of the three I need signed)

Atlanta Braves Day 2....

This much harder than the first day, because Disney wouldn't let us in until late, and by that time Glavine had already gotten in. Texieira signed a bunch down, but just stood there so you couldn't maneuver well enough to get anything unless you were right there.

Chuck James 2/2 8x10s (Coming off the field)
Brian McCann 1/1 8x10, 1/1 8x10, 1/1 ss omlb, 1/1 card
Yunel Escobar 1/2
Kelly Johnson 1/1
Jeff Francoeur (Told everyone to just have one thing out and he would give his best autograph. He gave one letter perfect to a lady with a photo, I got a mid level, a lot better than his usual JF 7 graph) 1/1 ss omlb, 1/1 8x10, 1/1 8x10, 1/1 card
Brandon Jones 1/1
Jordan Schafer 5/5, 2/2 ss omlb

Marlins/Cardinals

The access for the Marlins was incredible. I don't think you could get much better, until I found out one place later in the trip. Rain prevented us from doing the Cardinals, and ruined a few key items I had of key players.

Hanley Ramirez 1/1 ss omlb, 1/1 ss omlb, 1/1 card, 0/1 bat, 1/1 ss omlb (Signed for everyone coming off the field, however he didn't sign my bat. So I told him he had skipped me, and Hanley said he can't sign bats. So I then asked him if he would do a ball real quick for me, and he did it. I have never seen him sign as much as he did.)
Andrew Miller 2/2 ss omlb, 2/2 8x10's
Cameron Maybin 1/1 bat, 1/1 8x10 photo (Photo got ruined a little by the rain)

Dodgers Day 2:

Too many people getting autographs, prevented what could have been a knock out day. I did very well, but it is so much work with the crowds. I was literally up against the railings by the clubhouse three or four times for different players. It worked to my advantage for one, but I missed Torre because I couldn't move after getting Mattingly.

Tommy Lasorda 1/1 ss omlb, 1/1 ss omlb (Has a handler now I guess..ones for Cpurv of course)

Super Tuesday in NYC.

Hillary was having her election party last night in NYC. Three of us went, and had a nice time as usual. When she first go on stage to give her speech she was thanking people in the crowd, and we were front row center. She saw us and immediately gave us a thank you and waved at us. Then she quickly motioned signing in the air and laughed. That was a pretty cool gesture.

Anyways, Bill was leading Hillary, and Bill's handler noticed us, and told Bill not to sign for us. So Bill acts stupid and ignores us, and continues on.

Hillary then comes, and takes out her sharpie and starts signing for the three of us. She signed 11 total pieces for us, three for myself. I was able to get the inside of the Time Magazine we were in, its a full spread, and we were front row on the other side, so I got her to sign the side that she was on. I also got two baseballs done, not letter perfect as I got about 5 times before, but about a 90% signature, not full, but pretty good.

Anyways, as she was signing for us, she continued to thank us for the support. She also said which I thought was cool something to the effect of us knowing her, and knowing she is a nice person, versus what the media and everyone else portrays her, which I thought was cool and something that really is genuine.

Red Sox Minor League Players 01/16/07

I got a few of these guys earlier, so my totals include that. When we bought out tickets for the signing, the lady that was dealing with it said you could buy as many tickets as you wanted, as long as you cycled through the line doing one per player, and waited your turn for the rest at the back of the line. So of course I bought as many as I could at the time, 6. Well, needless to say, the Red Sox found someway to screw it up. Not only were they not doing SS, but Buchholz refused to sign for me. On our third time through, some guy started yelling at us saying how it was one per person, no matter how many tickets you bought. After many thoughts and consultations, I have come to the conclusion that guy was either Clay's agent, or some other type of representation from him. None of the other players had any problems with us going through as many times as we wanted. Jed Lowrie was the first player in the line, and he commented "Back again guys," and I said Of Course, it's for charity ya know. And he said yea I love it, come through as many times as you want. A few of the other players like Van Every and Bowden weren't too pleased, but they had no problems signing.

So I get up to Buchholz. I had gotten him 2 times before, and this was the third ticket I paid for. Buchholz goes, I know what you are doing with these and I'm not gonna sign for you. And I then told him, Clay it's for Charity I paid for the ticket and I'm expecting to get your autograph as apart of that. Clay goes I know it's for charity and I'm not going to sign. So I said alright, and continued with the rest of the players. Now, he only singled me out. A bunch of Boston dealers went through 3-4 times and got him each time no problems.

After that another lady who was "running it" (Running it in quotations because this was the most poorly executed signing I have ever been to) told me that I could not go through the line anymore even though I had paid for more tickets. So I quickly got my refund and just left.

Now look, I can understand if Clay doesn't want to sign. However, this was a paid signing, for charity. I think it was very poor taste by Clay to do this, and all I have to say is success goes quickly to their heads. We waited our turn each time, not cutting anyone, not giving the players more than one (at least I didn't) and there should've been no problems.

This was poorly executed by the Red Sox as if they are going to say you could only buy one ticket, then that should've been noted first off. Not only that, the no SS rule should've been posted. We expected no SS from Clay, but not of Hunter Jones.

So that's how that charity "signing" went. Anyways, here are the totals from each player.

Clay Buchholz: 2 (Refused a third even though I paid for it)
Justin Masterson: 3
Jed Lowrie: 4
Chris Carter: 1
Dusty Brown: 1
Devern Hansack: 3 (Very pleased to get him on my 2 Portland Championship 8x10's which will never be finished, but I like to tell myself some day I will get them all)
Michael Bowden: 4
Dustin Richardson: 3
Hunter Jones: 1
Aaron Bates: 4
Bubba Bell: 3
Jon Van Every: 1

Portland Seadogs Dinner 01/18/08

I'm sure all of these guys are sick of seeing me, but all were very gracious and signed a bunch. As far as 50/50's go, I was unable to start on people's Bubba Bell's, as he didn't sign as much as anticipated. If everyone would like me to hold onto them, I will get them in April. All Aaron Bates 50/50's are complete.

Dustin Richardson 9/9, 9/9, 3/3 ss omlb
Aaron Bates 27/27, 2/2 ss omlb
Bubba Bell 9/9, 4/9, 5/9, 2/2 ss omlb

Not really long lines today, just guys that I've seen all week, so not really a big day quantity wise. I will say, Lowrie has been very cool this entire week. I was hearing the horror stories about his miserable time in AFL, and he was nothing but a great guy this entire week. I should've asked him for another one at the end as he would've done 2 at the end of the line, but whatever.

Jed Lowrie 1/1 ss omlb, 1/1 ss omlb, 1/1 bat, 1/1 bat
Michael Bowden 1/1 ss omlb, 1/1 ss omlb, 1/1 ss omlb, 1/1 ss omlb

NJ Writers Dinner
-----
We thought about pulling double duty and doing the NY one tonight, but timing we would've gotten home too late, and it just didn't work out well to be able to do both.

Anyways, this dinner was a lot messier than most we were used to. No formal signings, and not exactly a good place as far as getting autos were concerned.

Craig Biggio 1/1 ss omlb, 0/1 card (Going in. He actually denied me at first, but then I walked with him and he did it. Signed after leaving, but was kind of picking and choosing people's stuff.)
Billy Wagner 1/1 05 Topps, 1/1 ss omlb (Signed Going in and Going out. First one to leave)
Todd Frazier 18/18 cards, 2/2 ss omlb
Kevin Mulvey 2/2 8x10's, 3/9 cards, 3/6 cards, 3/5 cards, 1/2 ss omlb (Not a very good signer, and he made a joking comment about me going up to him a bunch. I did ask him if he wouldn't mind finishing the cards on the last page, but he told me he couldn't. Strange. Was a pretty decent signer with the B-Mets so I don't really get it.
Leon Washington 1/1 program (Wish I had a nice photo, mini helmet, or cards of him. He was signing house.)
Darrell Reeves 1/1 program (Also very nice, and signed whatever you had)
John Farrell 1/1 07 WS ball (Signed it twice. Once on a random SP, and once on the SS. I don't really know how it happened haha.)
Ron Darling 0/12 (No showed. Don't really know what happened there.)

Wasn't really a great day. However, I have been wanting Biggio for a long time, so it was nice to get him finally. Wagner was also good to knock off for the set.

NH Fishercats Dinner 01/11/2008

Well this went way better than expected. It was chaotic as always at these events, but I cleaned house. The only person I didn't finish cards of was Fuld and that's because he had to leave with his family pretty quickly. He was super cool about it. I will divide up the cards so everyone at least gets something back signed of him, as I have a bunch and don't care how many I get back signed. Litsch surprised me at how cool he was. Same with Carpenter. No scans tonight as I have to prepare for Jillians tomorrow.

Chris Carpenter 1/1 ss omlb (NL CY 05), 1/1 ss omlb (NL CY 05), 2/2 ss omlb (NL CY 05), 1/1 ss omlb (NL CY 05)
Jesse Litsch 50/50
Sam Fuld 45/65
Ryan Patterson 27/27
Jim Beattie 18/18
Rich Gedman 6/6
Jim Rice 1/1 ss omlb (Wasn't too friendly as usual)
Johnny Pesky 1/1 8x10
Pat Hentgen 2/2 ss omlb AL CY 96, 1/1 ss omlb AL CY 06

Jillians today sucked. Ended up being a bunch of people stopping you from getting in, couldn't really get the players as they arrived as they were rushed in. We hung around a bit then went over to the hotel to try and get them, figuring they would rush them out and that is sort of what happened.

Michael Bowden 1/1 ss omlb
Jed Lowrie 1/1 ss omlb

Not really what I wanted, as I don't really care for these 2 anymore, but it is what it is.

I don't visit this forum very much, so I have a lot of catching up to do:

---------------------------------------
01/02/08:
Start of a new year means more autographing. This year I will at least give you guys one picture or scan of the highlights of each game/event.

Rudy was at a restaurant about 15 minutes away from me, so I decided to head over there. This guy is always late by at least 30 minutes, today it was 1.5 hours. I was able to get him on 2 Time Magazines as he went in, he used someone else's black sharpie and gave me a short signature. Then after it was all done, I was able to get him on 2 baseballs going out. Nice full signatures.

Rudy Giuliani 2/2 Time Magazines, 2/2 ss omlb

01/03/08

I did McCain on Thursday. It was pretty crowded as he was the only guy in NH on Iowa Caucus night. He wasn't very good, but I was able to get a few items done.

John McCain 1/2 8x10's, 1/1 01 WS Flag
--------------------------------------------
01/04/08

I don't have time for scans as I have to get ready for tomorrow, but I promise I will get scans up as soon as possible.
-----------
I went very early this morning to Hillary and Bill at the airport. I didn't get anything of Bill as I was seeing him the event after, but I did get a few Hillary items done. She signed 3 books, and 1 ball (One of the books was Bill's already signed by him).

Hillary Clinton 3/3 Books, 1/1 ss omlb
---------------
Next up was Bill. He was late all around and he didn't have a lot of time to sign, but I was still able to get 3 books done.

Bill Clinton 3/3 books
-----------------------
After Bill we hustled over to Huckabee and Chuck Norris. I got Huckabee on one ball as he got into the event. After the event was over I completely crushed him and was able to get 5 baseballs done, and one magazine (Although the magazine was somehow done in Ball Point). Chuck Norris only signed for about 2 minutes and quickly left the event with his wife. He did sign my 8x10 though which was good.

Mike Huckabee 5 Balls and One Magazine
Chuck Norris 1/1 8x10

I must say after actually listening to this guy, I was quite amazed at how boring Mike and Chuck were. This was the first time I actually payed attention to his speech, and I was not very impressed, and to be quite honest I have no idea how he won in Iowa.
------------------------
The final event of the day was Mitt Romney. This event was very crowded as we got into it late. I was only able to get 2 Time Magazines done, and his handler kept on saying he can't sign anymore, but he continued to sign all the way down the line.

Mitt Romney 2/2, 0/1

Totals:
16 Autographs

Even though I wasn't happy with the finish, I did pretty well overall today.

Next up:
Hillary, Bill, Romney, possibly someothers... who knows right now
----------------------------------------------------------
I covered Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton today. I went to an early Bill event, and I was able to pass my books up to Bill. Well they came back unsigned. So that sucked.

The next event was Hillary Clinton's debate party. I was able to get Hillary to sign 2 baseballs. Surprisingly Bill was there, so Bill signed one of Hillary's freshly signed balls as well.

Now here comes the problem. Bill's handler rushes over to us and grabs the stuff we had for Bill and says Bill will sign it out back. So we are waiting around after the event, and Bill just left. We can't find out stuff. This happened to a few of my friends at an earlier Bill event this weekend. Well, come to find out the guy threw the stuff out back on some podium so it never got touched by Bill at all.

The problem we have is we don't care if it gets back unsigned, we just want it back. Now that this is a recurring theme, it has gotten way out of hand. All the handler has to do is tell us Bill has signed enough for you guys and just not take the stuff out back at all.

As for stuff getting unsigned, the handler hands the stuff off to someone else and then tells them to put it in pile a to be signed or pile b to be unsigned if he has seen you get stuff before. Which is fine, but at least give us the stuff back.

Anyways here were the totals:
Hillary Clinton 2/2 ss omlb (LETTER PERFECT. Even though they are Black Sharpie I got absolute BEAUTIFUL BASEBALLS DONE by her.)
Bill Clinton 1/1 sp omlb (With Hillary already on it)

Next up:
Obama, Hillary, Romney, Paul, maybe someone else tomorrow
-----------------------------------------------------
01/08/07

One night that will go down in history. We went to Hillary's party actually not expecting her to win, and figured she would be in a bad mood. Well I had a good feeling about it, and what a night it turned out to be. It was quite exciting and energetic to be there and basically watch history unfolding right in front of you. Once CNN had announced she had won, the place erupted.

Hillary came out and right when she walked on stage before speaking, she glanced over and saw us and gave us a big wave and thank you. Same with after the speech, she thanked us all. Quite nice and definitely a great moment.

Anyway she came right over and signed, and she's like why not for old times sake. She did 2/2 ss omlb for me (One I asked her to date it; although she dated it wrong) and Bill came around as well and I got him to sign one of them. I didn't want to push that any further.

Anyways, so ends a long journey that started back last January getting Obama on a book. I must say it was one incredible experience, and being into politics helped a lot going after the signatures.

Hillary Clinton 2/2 ss omlb (One dated wrong; she dated other pieces wrong too)
Bill Clinton 1/1 sp omlb (With Hillary already on it)

Portland vs. CT Defenders

The one game where I really don't NEED anything signed, I find out Felipe Alou is there, and I do NEED him. So besides being frustrated about that, here is what I came out with.

Justin Masterson 5/5 (Not gonna push him with more than this per time. I will see him enough this year and next.)
Cory Keylor 1/1
Bubba Bell 1/1
Andrew Dobies 14/14
Jed Lowrie 4/6, 2/2

Defenders:
Eugenio Velez 3/3
John Bowker 3/3

Then after work I did the Fishercats Harrisburg game.

This was another disappointment as Raines wasn't there.

Tarasco as he is signing his cards:
Tony:
Oh look at this guy, he is f-ing focused and ready to play, look at his face, so determined.
Us: "You gotta teach these kids how to play Tony"
Tony: Yea well Dr. Phil f-ed it up for everyone

It wasn't even the whole conversation, it was just all I can specifically remember. No joke, it was the funniest encounter I have had all year..100% tops Julian Tavarez at the Welcome Home Dinner. This guy was just funny.

Lowell:
Willy Mota 0/9 (These cards are gonna get signed at some point)
Nick Hagadone 8/8 programs, 2/2 baseballs with Red Sox #1 Pick

Did Rudy Giuliani today at a private house party. One thing now about Rudy, there is a security guy with him who if you saw him, you would think he was apart of the mafia. This guy scares the living crap out of me, and cuts you off if you get more than one. I took it easy today just because it wasn't as great of an environment as I had hoped and I didn't want to piss this guy off.

Rudy Giuliani 2/2 ss omlb (One signed To: Mike, one inscribed Go Yankees!)
--------------------------------
08/19
Barack Obama was 10 minutes away from my house today, so I figured I might as well go. Well I did extremely well, even though he is a total jerk. I also got his wife too.

Barack Obama 1/1 ss omlb, 1/1 book..then 1/2 books, 2/2 time magazines (The other 3 items were passed to a security guy and he signed them in his RV. Good news, I actually witnessed him signing them so he does actually sign the items after an event.

Michelle Obama 1/1 book, 1/1 time magazine

Totals:
7 Items, 5 signed by Barack.

Eastern League All Star Game

This game and day sucked. I am not even going to start about half the crap.. Only thing I will say is "The General" Bob Stanley was kicking people out of a "private party" which wasn't a private party because everyone who got a letter, in the last paragraph it says you are invited for appetizers for free..and drinks for pay with the players. So the Defenders are getting a nice little phone call tomorrow morning if I can speak to someone important that it sucked and I want my money back..full price..plus the 2 tickets that I am supposed to get for free for the "fog" out.

Anyways here are the totals. I did the hotel pre-game, outside the stadium pre-game, during batting practice pre-game, autograph session pre-game, during the delay, and then post-game. Very long day, and the only ones to turn me down all day were Radhames Liz and Don Zimmer.

Oh I also have tons of the new Baseball America with Josh Vitters on the cover. So if anyone wants to 50/50 them, let me know. I have as many as you want for the rest of the season.

First it started out with Don Zimmer denying myself at the hotel:
Don Zimmer 0/1, 0/1 (I am not signing. Then must've just lost a bunch of money as I asked him coming back and he said in a very rude voice..no I am not signing, I am going to my room).

Collin Balester 25/25 cards, 1/1 program, 1/1 ss omlb, 2/2 ss oelb
Luke Hughes 1/9 cards, 1/1 program, 1/1 cards
Radhames Liz 0/8 cards, 0/8 cards, 1/1 program, 1/1 card, 0/8 cards
Jed Lowrie 1/1 8x10, 1/1 program, 2/4 cards, 3/4 cards
Jeff Marquez 17/17 cards, 1/1 program, 2/2 cards, 9/9 cards 2/2 ss oalb (Gave a few cards away)
Neil Walker 4/5 cards, 3/4 cards, 1/1 program, 2/2 cards, 2/2 cards
Josh Whitesell 3/3 cards, 1/1 program, 2/2 programs

Hillary + Bill Clinton today:

These events were A) too crowded to graph, and cool.gif too crowded to graph when you have about 15 people trying to get baseballs signed. Anyways, Bill was a complete jerk. Anything nice you had for him, he would give you the Ebay talk. Not only that but he refused me at first talking about Ebay and all of this. Hillary as usual was nice. She told me she could only do 1, but was very apologetic and I have never had any problems with her whatsoever. It is her aid, the foreign looking one that is a problem. As every time I see her, she is always saying to Hillary don't sign for him he has already gotten you plenty. She will still sign though, so I can't complain about her, just her politics. I will complain about Bill though. He was getting annoyed by someone who got on the Secret Service's list and they were trying to get to him, but he got out quickly. The guy kept asking Bill to sign. Finally he signs the baseball, then he goes for another one and Bill was like I got you. He kept on insisting that he didn't. Then both Bill and Hillary stopped signing baseballs altogether. They did a few on the other end for people, but kept on refusing the baseballs.

Hillary Clinton 1/2 ss omlb Black Sharpie, 1/1 magazine

Mitt Romney was around the state today, and I caught up with him at a notable restaurant in Manchester. I didn't wanna push it, as I had more stuff to get signed too, but I feel like I made out as good as I could've done. Mitt was great and would've sat there and signed a million if time permitted. I wish all the candidates were this nice about autographs. He gave me quite a vague answer on a question I asked him though, which was the downside to the whole day.

I see Tommy on his cell phone, and figure I might as well wait to get him on the cards I had. I didn't even ask him, and he comes up to me while still on the phone, and motions with his hand to sign, with a huge smile on his face. One guy who just loves to sign autographs I guess. Very nice guy.)

Delmarva
Billy Rowell 0/3 (I will get you inside.), 3/3 8x10's (I gave him 2, he didn't even say thank you. Also bentm noticed this: It was raining outside and I thought he was just looking at the photos at first. However, he did the same thing with bentm's cards, as well as this other kids cards. He was waiting for water to get on them before he signed them. I have a few minor water smudges on the photos, nothing too bad. This guy is going to get tough really fast. 0/9 cards outside. Trenton Thunder vs. Harrisburg Senators

I liked this stadium a lot. Very much like NH in the fact that you have access pregame, postgame, and before the game.

Harrisburg Senators:
Collin Balester 1/1
Mike Hinckley 5/5
Zechry Zinicola 1/1
Dan Dement 8/8
Josh Whitesell 3/4, 1/1 (A piece of work this guy is. Presses down so hard on the sharpie, and is a true jerk. Only reason he signed for us postgame was that he was with his family. If he wasn't, there was no way he would've done it for us.)
Frank Diaz 2/4, 2/3 (Strict 2 per, and not that friendly)
Tim Raines 2/4, 2/3, 2/2, 2/2 (Had help on the last 2. Very nice guy, and there were tons of collectors getting him in Trenton because of the Yankee affiliation.)

Trenton Thunder:
Joba Chamberlain 7/7, 1/1 ss omlb (Very nice guy)
Ian Kennedy 32/32, 1/1 ss omlb (Awesome guy as well)
Scott Patterson 1/1
Brett Smith 1/1
Juan Miranda 1/1 ss oelb (Nice signature, basically half and half between printing his name and a signature)
Matt Carson 1/1 (Surprisingly in a good mood. Probably because he was named to the EL AS team.)
Noah Hall 1/1
Boomer the mascot 1/1 (I had to do it on the team set lol )

Total:
78

Total for the trip:
328 + 2 GU Bat

All-in-all it was a fun time. I wish I saw a few better prospects, but tough scheduling and other things were going on later this month, so this was the only time I could realistically go. I can't wait to graph again up here though. If you had a 50/50 with me, I will be going through some of them this week and sending them back. There are a few guys I may not have gotten done for people, and if I am seeing them for the EL AS Game, or later this month, I will get them done for you.

Thanks
Nick

06/14
Seadogs vs. Erie

Great day, as the 07 Portland set came out, so I made some good strides on that already.

Anyways here are the totals...

Seadogs:
Iggy Suarez 4/4
Jed Lowrie 6/6
Michael Bowden 0/2 (I will get you guys after the game.. he ended up leaving the game in the 7th.. never saw him post game in the parking lot)
Jeff Corsaletti 8/8 ("Just so you guys know, this is the first time I have ever signed autographs out of my car before")
Barry Hertzler 4/4
Bryan Pritz 8/8
Clay Buchholz 2/2 ss omlb, 4/8 cards
Lincoln Holdzkom 4/8
Tommy Hottovy 25/25 (Gave him a couple of his new 07 Bowman..First ones I have gotten signed so far)
Chris Smith 0/6 (Didnt say a word to me.. just kept on walking)
Charlie Zink 1/1
John Otness 6/6
Zach Borowiak 4/4
Andrew Pinckney 14/14 (Complained about the Portland card making him look fat)
Jeff Natale 6/6
Beau Vaughn 4/4 (The goofiest looking card I have ever seen)
Mike James 6/6

Erie:
Jackson Melian 1/1
Andres Torres 9/9
Erick Almonte 9/9
Clete Thomas 0/4, 0/4 (Guy stonewalled me at first.. not saying a word and not looking at me.. the second time I ask him after the game he says not tonight man...)
Jeff Larish 14/14, 1/1 GU Signed Bat (The bat is broken in two.. but not that bad so easily fixable with some glue. I also asked him to add 07 Game Used to it.
Andrew Kown 4/9, 5/5 (He added a Bible inscription to a few of them; 613:23)
Matt Joyce 8/8
Danny Zell 5/5
Michael Hollimon 16/16
Kody Kirkland 4/4
Dallas Trahern 6/6 (Isaiah 40:31 Bible Inscription)
Randor Bierd 1/1 (One of the guys I graph with consistently was up in Portland tonight, and when Randor went in to pitch, he started nicknaming him "The Conquerer." So funny thing after the game we go up to him with a few of those Top Prospect ss ball cards and ask him to sign, and we explain to him that we called him "The Conquuerer" because he was lights out. He thought it was pretty funny, so hopefully the nickname sticks. Anyways, if anyone is seeing him.. please call him "The Conquerer" haha..)

DISMAL Performance. Pretty pissed off at something else tonight though, so I really don't care.
-------------------------------------------------
June 3rd

Tonight was the Democratic Debate in Manchester. We got to Millies Bar, where the Hillary Clinton party was, and we tried to get in, and two people with the campaign basically pushed us out saying we needed a ticket. So when Hillary arrives, we were outside and we try calling her over, but she was talking to her manager and didn't hear us, and her manager told us she is late and has to get in right now. So then when she gets out, we call her over and she comes over saying 1 per person because she was late. She did sign though, and was nce about, so no complaints in the end.

Hillary Clinton 1/1 ss omlb, 1/1 ss omlb (Help)
----------------------------------------
06/05
After work tonight, I headed out to the John McCain after-debate party at Jillians in Manchester. He was only there for 15 minutes, however I was able to clean up.

Senator John McCain 3/3 baseballs, 3/3 books, 1/1 magazine, 1/1 baseball (When I handed him 3 baseballs at once he said I can only do one. However, after he signed the first he was like ok one more. Then after signing the second he was like I won't be a jerk, lemme have the other one. Very nice guy.)

Total: 8 (2 omlb, 2 olb-1, 3 books and 1 magazine)
Next up:
RUDY!! Tomorrow in New Castle.. (Again)
--------------------------------
Rudy Giuliani was doing a Town Hall Meeting today in New Castle. Went over with Cpurv to get him. Incidentally, there were two Boston dealers there so we didn't do as good as we had hoped. Also for anyone who wants to or is going to graph him, you MUST get him coming off and going onto the bus, as well as quickly after the event he is attending. He doesn't like to meet and greet people right now, and doesn't hang around too long after his events.

That being said, for the amount of time he signed, I think I did well. It could've been a lot better if he had stayed longer and interacted with people like normal candidates do.

Rudy Giuliani 1/2 ss omlb (Coming off the bus, he told us he only had time for one and said he would get the other one later) 2/3 (Magazine cover and 8x10, they look great but he gave a short signature. Then 1/1 ss omlb getting onto the bus.

Totals: 4: 2 ss omlb, 1 Magazine, 1 8x10 of the magazine cover.

The 8x10 and magazine are NOT FOR SALE and are not going anywhere. The balls are going to be sold on Ebay.

Next up:
Mitt Romney maybe tonight I have no idea though.
---------------------
06/10/07

Connecticut Doubleheader

First up:
CT Defenders vs. Bmets

Bmets:
Fernando Martinez 50/50 cards, 4/4 8x10's
Corey Ragsdale 5/5

CT Defenders:
Travis Ishikawa 3/3 (He SUCKS..he made two errors in the first three inning at first base today.)
Alex Requena 2/2 (Looks more like a drawing, than an autograph)
Brooks McNiven 4/4
Carlos Sosa 6/6
John Bowker 26/26
Nick Pereira 18/18

Second game was New Britain vs. Bowie

New Britain's stadium, is AWFUL. I will personally never be back there.

Rock Cats:
Ryan Mullins 5/16 (Gave him two... I have no idea why he didn't finish them, he seemed like a nice guy.)

Bowie:
Rommie Lewis 4/4
Val Majewski 1/1
Radhames Liz 0/9 (Refused to sign.... confused.gif )

For people who did 50/50's for me with Bowie, Reimold did NOT travel this series. New Britain I will be doing again, and same with Bmets.

Total:
128 (Should've been a lot better.....)

Wow! Great success in my opinion. Hey, you may not vote for Obama (good for you) , but he did remember you. He should feel flattered that he is helping the economy if you are selling his signed books.

Thanks. He should be flattered that I keep coming back to get him. He won't win over Hillary, there is no way. I am a Republican anyway, so I won't be voting for either of them.

05/14/07
Did the Tigers in Boston today. What a mess. This team is much tougher than last year. To make matters worse, they got into Boston at 5am this morning.

Anyways here we go:
Wilfredo Ledezma 0/1
Carlos Guillen 1/2, 1/1
Justin Verlander 0/1
Mike Rabelo 3/3
Curtis Granderson 1/1 sp omlb, 1/1 sp omlb
Todd Jones 1/1
Jim Leyland 1/1 ss omlb

Then the highlight of the day:
Magglio Ordonez 0/1, 1/1 (Got denied by him inside the hotel with 2 other people.."I'm not signing anything." So I follow him for a little bit, and he goes into Legal Sea Foods to eat. I wait about 30-45 minutes, and he finally comes out and I ask him as he stops for a second and I say Magglio can you please sign. He looks at my card, then looks around to see if anyone else is there.. he takes my book and signs the card, and I say thank you and he just nods his head.

Total Autographs:
9
-----------------------------------------------
05/18/07
Barack Obama 05/18

Obama cut myself and another person off today! We still got our books signed, as he does them in a back room after the event. However, he told myself and another person that he has seen us before and we are just making money off of him. He didn't sign for us, and I felt like telling him, well I guess you don't want my vote then.

Anyways, I got 6 books done, because his manager is a nice guy, and even joked around with me asking me how much I made off of the last batch, and I told him I did well haha (He is the tall black guy that collects the books).

Barack Obama 6/6 Books.. 0/1 denied face-face.

Next up:
Really long day tomorrow. Getting up at 6am, and getting to the hotel by 8am to do the Braves. Then the game at 1 pm.. doing them between, then the game at 7pm, and finally ending with the Braves post game at the hotel.
--------------------------

Jarrod Saltalamacchia 1/1 ss omlb

Jeff Francoeur 1/1 (Finished off set card with Andy Marte) 1/1 ss omlb, 2/2 cards, 1/1 sp omlb (SP for trade)
