Introduction

Hey guys and gals, we're back and ready for another month. Last month, we went big for our 2 year anniversary break and hit it big. Mike Lindegarde was the big winner, pulling (2) Lebron autos. We had a bunch of other nice hits also, as we pulled a Bird and Garnett for Kingfisher. Booth9919 received a Sweet Derrick Rose Quad Gu/Rc of Auto also. We also had a bunch of nice autos and patches.

How it Works (Official Rules)

Each member pays $50 ($52 if paying via PayPal). That covers about $500 in boxes, shipping, and supplies. You get one team (you cannot take a team that has already been taken) of your choice. The remaining 20 teams go to the members via a draft. This gives you a total of three teams. Every single card pulled out of a box that has a player from one of your three teams goes to you. The box breaks are done via a video break, so there is no question as to what was pulled.

Fees are due by the 15th. The boxes are ordered and the draft begins as soon as all fees are collected. As soon as the draft completes and the boxes are in, the video breaks are done. The cards are then shipped out by the box breaker as soon as the results have been posted. We decide as a group what boxes to break each month.

It looks like the only new products this month are Ultimate and Exquisite. Odds are both will get bumped back (I don't have insider info, that just seems to be how UD does things).

I think Ultimate is basically 1 hit for $100. I'm not sure that's a good way to go.... I'm not sure what to do this month.

What do ya'll want to bust. The first Panini products won't be out until August and their first product will be Prestige basketball. I'm all for Chronology again. If we want to do a Topps product, Topps Signature hasn't been that bad. We can re-visit Signature again. Please lmk.

I think Chronology is a solid choice. For $145 it's a solid break. I also agree that Signature isn't bad at just under $90 a box. Should we dig for some old products?

I think that that's a great idea for this month Mike. It looks like we are still going to have three companies to choose from this year after all. According to Blowout's site, UD is releasing at least (4) 2009-10 between now and September, and Topps is releasing (2) 2009-10 releases during that time also. It looks like Panini has signed exclusive contracts with (5) players who include: Blake Griffin (Oklahoma), Tyler Hansbrough (UNC), Jordan Hill (Arizona), Brandon Jennings (Lottomatica Virtus Roma,Italy), and Hasheem Thabeet (UCONN).

I will look in the Upper Deck store tomorrow to see if there are sales for basketball.. last I checked they had 07-08 SP Rookie Threads for $150 a box (17 hits!)

I like the success we had with black and premier and chronology also I would be up for another box of topps signature.

also what about trying Radiance, I know we have seen some crappy breaks but have also seen alot of nice ones. I think we should give it a shot

my problem with Radiance is that i think it looks like crap. i don't actually want those cards. couple that with the bad breaks/reviews and i'm not too eager to give it a go.

Personally I would love to break a box of exquisite, but I dont think that would work for this month as I believe it comes out at the end of the month,


so if we did topps sig and chronology thats 240 what can we get in the 260 range.

also when does spgu come out for this year

true. i'm just trying to find something different to break. i'm fine with chronology, signature, and black/premier; however, i can see how some might want to change it up a bit.
