The Official BKB Box Break Club -January
Introduction
Last month was a fairly good month for everybody in the group. The hits were spread around very nicely and we pulled some very nice cards.
This months breaker
Tb40
Boxes that we'll break
1. 2008-09 Sp Rc Threads 2. 2008-09 Spx 3. 2007-08 UD Chronology 4. ???
How it Works (Official Rules)
Each member pays $50 ($52 if paying via PayPal). That covers about $470 in boxes, shipping, and supplies. You get two teams (you cannot take a team that has already been taken) of your choice. The remaining 10 teams go to the members via a draft (last month's draft took less than 24 hours). This gives you a total of three teams. Every single card pulled out of a box that has a player from one of your three teams goes to you. The box breaks are done via a video break, so there is no question as to what was pulled.
Fees are due by the 15th. The boxes are ordered and the draft begins as soon as all fees are collected. As soon as the draft completes and the boxes are in, the video breaks are done. The cards are then shipped out by the box breaker as soon as the results have been posted. We decide as a group what boxes to break each month.

I'm also back this month. I'm a fan of SP Rookie Threads and I'd like to break Hardcourt so I'm a fan of any break that has those two in it: however....
Hardcourt is just three hits I think. We could get a box of 07/08 SPGU which has 12 hits for the same price as Hardcourt's 3 hits. So we could do something like the following to get more hits:
08/09 Rookie Threads $195 07/08 SPGU $113 08/09 SPx $149
Total - $457
As I said, I'm 100% fine with Matt's original suggestion. I'd love to pull a nice sketch card out of Hardcourt, but we could do better on hit count given the $112 price tag.

I'm fine with whichever way we want to go. With our original suggestion, we will end up with 27 hits with threads, spx and hardwood plus whatever smallbox that we add. I'm all for more hits, but I think that we do need to mix it up with at least one Topps product and I like the look of Hardwood. (I hate these exclusive contracts).
