16 Members. You pick your team. The 16 remaining teams will be picked by a draft held each month.
Fee is $25 a month. That buys $360-370 of hobby boxes each month for us to bust and pays for shipping & supplies.
You get all base, inserts, gu, autos, ect of your teams that is pulled from the boxes.
Duals go to the member who gets least amount of Autos & Gued from his owned team. (of course the member must own the team that is part of the dual)
Duals pt 2 - If a dual involves a owned team and a drafted team...the owned team gets the card.
Duals pt 3 - Tie - Serial Numbered cards are counted along with the autos & gued cards.
If you fail to pay by the DUE DATE, YOU will not participate in the break. Your team will be sold and your membership forfeited.
If you're interested in changing your owned team, you must do this before the draft. If you change owned teams, you will automatically be put at the bottom of the draft order for the current month.
TRANSACTIONS: Within ONE week prior to our break or soon after the break occurs, our breaker will create transactions for every member involved. Please make sure you confirm/agree on YOUR transaction thread.
FUTURE MEMBERS: Please understand that there is a waiting list. If you would like to add your name to this list, then please contact WestCoastSkinsFan . When a spot is relinquished, the 1st person off of the list is notified. Anyone who can pay the monthly fee can join. We have ZERO restrictions.

For those of you not in the know, 2010 marks the FOURTH YEAR we've been running this break. It'll be the 4th anniversary in June! I'd like to take a moment to thank some of our current/prior breakers in road_runner_1964, thesobons, bob_tcc, Monsta, picipat, and I'm sure I've missed one or two!
As we have discussed for the past two months, I would like to propose shifting things a bit this month. I'd like to make this a BIG break! Double the fees, double the good. We'd be looking at $50 per person for $800 in product! To help celebrate our 4th year, I'd be throwing in some extras myself. I know cbluem had talked about doing this a few months back, and I'd urge members to help make it a special month as well!
Just to verify, are you guys still in for this?

In addition to a big helping of current products, what would you guys think about some older ones, too? For a big celebration, different years would spread out the hits a bit, and I think it'd be fun to revisit some products too.
Alternately, if you guys trust me, we could just wait until Blowout has one of their weekend sales, and find go for some of the more highly discounted football stuff. Thoughts?

Thoughts?
I was considering Topps Platinum, but for MORE than SP Authentic, you basically get the same contents, but with less long-term value, and you pay $15 more. I dunno about that.
Also, I wanted to look into some interesting older sets like 06 SPX or SPA, but they're unavailable at the moment. 06 NT might also be interesting, but it's over $300 at the moment.

im in and comfirmed. also http://www.cardsinfinity.com/football-hobby-boxes.html has some good prices also on football boxes. some may be price a few dollars cheaper than blowout and some around the same or more, but he gives free shipping on orders over $250. just a thought =)

Sam - I like that box selection, except I would rather replace the 2 06 Limited with one 07 Limited. It's usually $75 on the weekend special.

Frankly, if you like this SORT of variety, with your blessing, I could also just go nuts on a Blowout weekend and see what's well-priced along the same lines. Would that work too?
One interesting way to do this would be if individual members could post like... a top 3 box selection from 2005 to present, so we can get an idea of what people want, and then try to fill as many want lists as possible?
Oh, and SuPa, could you check and see if he does any sort of online break sponsorship like Blowout does? The extra percentage kick-in would help a ton.

I don't want us to stray away from 09 products. I don't mind a few older boxes, but that is too many. If we are going to do that many older boxes, I would rather stick with the regular 25 break personally. We actually be doing less 09 stuff in the big break than the regular one. Maybe 1 06 box, 1 07 box, and 1 08 box. This is supposed to be a break to get newer products not spend more to get older boxes.

The box selection doesn't matter too much to me as long as we aren't doing all "rookie oriented" products. We should have a good mix of products with some nice legend/star hits too, such as Classics and Limited.

This puts the total to 722. We would then have 50-60 to let Sam pick some boxes on special. We could also cut one of the 09 Classics out to have 125-135 for Sam to pick some boxes on special.
This group allows for mainly 09(even one we haven't tried yet), some 08 and 07 boxes, plus some Classics and Limited to allow some legends to be pulled(Cut auto anyone?).
I also think it would be cool to try and do this over two breaks to spread it out a little. It sucked not breaking anything for January, but having two breaks within three days was cool. Just an idea to make it easier on the breaker.
Sam if you are breaking, send me your addy so I can send you a package with some random GUed and autos to open for the break. Maybe a little pre-bust warm up.

Blue - My only issue with this one is that 09 Classics is pretty bad compared to 08. I like where you're going on it, though! Let me work on something similar.

I would like to put a proposal out there with duals and triples and more
A slight twist on the current system that I think would make it a lot more fair.
We continue the first part where if you own the team and the other team is drafted, then you get it. Or if you have more owned team people on the card than the other person, you get it.
The change would be that instead of the tie breaker going to the person with the least amount of hits, it would go to a random done by the breaker. If the breaker is in the random, than a third party would do it.
It just wouldn't be fair if someone like me hit a Sanchez SPA patch auto(please let this happen), but no other hits. Then the person with the Lions hits a Pettigrew auto and a Pettigrew GUed. Then a dual auto with Sanchez and Stafford comes and I get it. that just doesn't seem right. Also with as many boxes that we have, that would be a lot for the breaker.

I agree! That's actually 1 rule that I definitely don't like about the group to begin with, but it doesn't bother me too much because it's all for fun anyways. However, I do know I would be relatively disappointed if I pulled a base GU card then there was a dual auto of Romo and another player and someone else got it automatically because I already had a base GU card.

Okay, shortage for Topps Unique sent. I'll be calling Upper Deck tomorrow if at all possible. Sadly, Photobucket is down, so I won't be uploading pictures tonight. Should be tomorrow!
Just for those who didn't have a chance to see everything, we had some BIG hits from 08 Classics. A Matt Ryan School Colors auto #/50, and a Marion Barber 3-color patch auto #/10! Good stuff there.

The Eli/Peyton/Rodgers GU #/15 is ALL owned teams. If we're going by the current rules, it goes to Mr. 264, as he has two hits, as opposed to thesobons with 3, and CHF with 7 (!).
We didn't reach a clear agreement as to how we'd want to do this before the break, but if all 3 of you want to set this up differently, let me know.

I am in agreement either way. We didn't get a consensus or make the change prior to breaking, so normally no change to the process would take place. Albeit, I am now in the mix and it is SPx, I could say that since we didn't make the change finalized, it should be mine. But, I did vote to be in favor of the change. So, either way I am good. I will leave it up to Robert and Mark for their opinion.

FYI, contacted both UD and Topps this morning. Sending them what they need for shortages ASAP.
(Also, randomed off a few things. dhoffius gets a bunch of Presidential inserts from Philadelphia and Karlito gets a Knute Rockne insert)

On this, as a neutral party, I'm inclined to say that since we as a group did not agree to any new rules before the cards were broken, we should not change them mid-stream. We've had nice duals go in this fashion before, so for right now, I feel we really just need to go to the established rules.
I wouldn't mind putting the issue up for vote for next month. Like we did with the "bottom of the draft" penalty, we should do this before the break occurs.

I too would love to have it, but let's follow the rules and discuss a change next month. Bob deserves a card like that. And 7?! really?! I know I was on a roll.. but 7
