Also, who is going to be breaking this month? i'll be willing to do it if no one else wants to, just wanna make sure...

$26 dollars a person for box(es) that run $325? If you sell 25 spots at $26 bucks that's $650 dollars! Paypal, Shipping, Supplies and DC do not run $300 dollars plus.

Where's the extra cash going? Just curious.

We don't sell 25 spots we sell 15 there are 30 teams in the NHL so you get your owned team and 1 drafted team...

Second of all, we only have 15 teams, the others are drafted so thus, we're paying $26 for two teams...

AND the rest is for shipping. Mattymak and I live in Canada so it IS a little bit more expensive with the majority of the rest of the group living in the US.

AND It's usually more than one box.

Nowhere in his post does he state one picked, one random/drafted team. The available team list throws people off as well. I understand this is a monthly break, with regular people. But, to interest others, it's best to provide all the proper information.

All the proper information is provided in the Box Break Club Topic, where it also states the rules for all other groups. It only throws off the people who aren't in the group, the regular people tho, understand it, and when a new member joins the group, everything is explained to them. Not all group breaks have the rules every single month too. We have it set at 15 spots and it is working well right now as it is, and you need to remember, even if you go to say, 25 spots, then you need to have that many people EACH month, and if one person drops out, and no one comes forward, then it puts the entire break on hold until the spot is covered. so although we could have more money to break many boxes, we are satisfied with how we are running the group now, and how much is spent a month.

All, I sent Bill a pm right after the February break, but have not heard anything. I am guessing he is still busy currently. I have been busy myself and completely forgot about this.

Additionally since Dwight has dropped I will send PM to the next person on the list.


I would like to see us open these new products (Blowout prices):
08-09 UD S2 $60 (6 YGs 2 GU)
08-09 UD Ice $80 presell (4 rcs 3 hits at least 1 au per box)

If UD Champs is out by then I would not mind it as well. Presell $100

I really do not want to open another SPGU this month. Would rather see something like 08-09 Trilogy where there are some nice looking hits like the plexi autos and FITs and a decent amount of base.




This is my thought on a configuration:

08-9 UD S2 $60 (2 gu 6 YGs)
08-9 Ice $80 (3 hits 4 rcs)
08-9 Trilogy $118 (3 gu, 3 au, 3 rcs)
07-08 BAP Sig $66 (8 autos) (Can substitute here just like idea of 8 hits)

Total $324 (19 hits, 13 rcs)

Unfortunately this will have to be my last month for awhile as finances are getting really tight

As for box selection, while I like the idea of doing Trilogy and UD S2 this month, I am REALLY against this year's Ice. After looking at checklists I just have a bad feeling about it.
Personally, I would love to bust some Champs but I don't really know how we would divide any artifacts, fossils, or other sport cards. I just think it would be too much of a hassle to figure that out.
Personally, I would love to go with a box of 06-07 BAP Portraits as it gives one 8x10 auto and a jersey per pack while still cutting down on base. This would totally depend on Matt and Krista's willingness to deal with the different shipping method of course.

I would also be interested in busting either another tin of 07-08 Sweet Shot or another box of 08-09 SPx. While a gamble, the Sweet Shot has been relatively good to us (Kane Auto and Price Triple GU in the same tin) and SPx wasn't too bad either and it's still relatively new with few base.
