***** This break has been cancelled due to lack of participants. Thanks to all who offered to join us! *****
Not sure if there's enough interest out there in this or not but probably by now you've all heard about Razor Oval Office cards that just hit the market? If not, it's a product with a total production of just 99 packs with one card in each pack. The cost is around $2500. What do you get for that?? You get a Presidential Cut Auto #1/1. It's a risk like any other break but the more of these I see broken (remember there's only 99 total) I still haven't seen any of the big boys pulled like Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln, etc.. The longer it goes by without these appearing the more tempting it is to give it a shot.

I think it's time we go in on a group break on this and see if we can hit it really big. The cost would be $90 per share and at the current price we would need to fill 30 slots. Because the cost of these packs may fluctuate I can't guarantee we might have to increase by a slot or two to cover the cost after paypal fees but if we can put this together fairly quickly and collect payments soon we should about right on. The grand opening would be on Youtube and we'd sell the card on Ebay shortly after to split the proceeds (after any fees incurred) by the number of slots (hopefully 30 slots)). So.... who's ready to take the gamble with me?

Cost: $90
Payment Deadline: When we hit 25 slots filled

I'm in for the Miami Dolp.....wait...
I'm in for the Detroit Tig......wait...
I'm in for the Detroit Pist.....wait...
I'm in for the Detroit Red ....wait...

Yeah, I'd be up for something like this, I'd probably prefer the "split the proceeds" idea rather than immediately reinvesting it back into sportscards, but would go with whatever the majority prefers.

Thanks,
Prophecy Guy

The 1st rule of Group Breaks is that you do not message Prophecy Guy about your group breaks.

The 2nd rule of Group Breaks is that you do NOT message Prophecy Guy about your group breaks.

The 3rd rule of Group Breaks is that if you can’t take the time to spell out words like “you” or “for”, I can’t trust that you’ll take the time to take care of my cards.

The 4th rule of Group Breaks is that if you incessantly bump your group break thread after I’ve joined it, I will drop out rather than be an accessory to obnoxiousness.

More to come…

i would most certainly be in for this at 90 a pop if we put it on ebay and split the proceeds 30 ways. The cards on ebay right now are selling like crazy and there not even the huge names!

All right guys...that's a good enough start for me to think we can do this. We'll set it up for a group buy and then sell on Ebay right away to split the proceeds. The first post will be updated with participant list. Not sure on payment date but I'd want to try to do this soon as these are getting tougher to find! Due to price fluctuation I won't be able to guarantee the final cost of the box but if we end up short we'll try to add another slot ot two to keep the cost the same. If we can put this together and collect in a week or so we should be fine at the 30 slots.

I didnt buy any.. foolish just like scratch off lottry tickets

96 bad chances and 3 good

Lyndon Johnson autos 400
Herbert Hoover 200
Bushes.. probably have to pay someone to take em!
Even FDR or JFK wont get your money back!

How about obscure guys like james Buchanan or Millard Fillmore..

NO

Only Abe, George and Tom will make any money and rest assured if I got one of those it would be in the vault!

Just cause a card is listed on ebay for $18000 doesnt mean it has bids or will sell!

Have fun! But in my opinion this pursuit is a full and their money proposition at best!

BTW Martin Van Buren was pulled by a famous actor according to Brian at Razor so somebody cross him off the blowout list!

I understand it's a gamble as any break is but isn't that one of the reason group breaks are good things in these situations. If we lose out then so be it but we won't lose the full $90 and we had a chance to dream for awhile at hitting the big one. I also think you are underestimating prices by alot. Truman who I think is "not a big deal" closed for over $1,000 just today so I think several --- maybe up to 20 of them would be close to money makers if not sure things;

George Washington
John Adams
Thomas Jefferson
Abe Lincoln
Teddy Roosevelt could be close as could Madison or Monroe
JFK

Don't forget about the duals as all these would be close to break even or money makers in my opinion...

FDR and Truman been pulled!
JFK and Lyndon Johnson
JFK and Jackie O
FDR and Eleanor Roosevelt
James Madison and Dolly Madison NOT MADE
FDR and Churchill
Lincoln and Washington
FDR and Hoover
John Quincy Adams and James Monroe
Teddy Roosevelt and FDR
JFK and Jack Ruby
James Madison and James Monroe
JFK and Marilyn Monroe Rumored to have been pulled
John Adams and John Quincy Adams
FDR and Dewey
Woodrow Wilson and Teddy Roosevelt
JFK and RFK

Again Truman closed for a $1000 that is still a loss of $1700!! OUCH!!!

Thanks Aceecards. I've been watching Blowouts list as well. I'll be curious to see how the Roosevelts and JFK duals sell when they get pulled as I think they'll be pretty good. Of course most people are posting Buy-it-nows with huge starting prices to see what they can draw so it's hard to tell what they'll end up going for. I still think there's a bunch that would serve us well and about 5 that would bring insane money. Then again for the cup half empty crowd out there there are a number of duds (if you can call a presidential cut signature a dud) that would be a loss as well.

This will either be a quick filler or will fade away fast as I don't want to string people along on this one. If we can't come close to filling by the end of the weekend I think I'll drop the idea so if anyone is interested in the gamble speak up now!!
