QUOTE(bob_TCC @ Apr 11 2005, 02:30 PM) Just curious as to which method you most often use to get your autographed items. Please share why as well.
I am just starting to try these. I've traded for autos and pulled them out of packs, but there are some players that you just cannot find autographs of. I have put together an Excel spreadsheet of some of the addresses that I have found (all untested) and find it fun to see who, if anyone, will sign. I just put together five letters tonight. These are who I am sending to: Don Larsen Kevin Maas (Don't laugh! One of my favorite players in the 90's) (Senator) Jim Bunning Gil McDougald Duke Snider I decided to write to The Silver Fox, because I know he is a good signer. Don't know about how the other ones are, but if I even hear from one of them - I will be more than happy. I ask each one of them a question, as well. For example, I asked Snide whether he preferred Brooklyn or Los Angeles... I can see that I am rambling, so I'll sign this one as done. ;-) --Joseph p.s. How about a sticky in this forum, Bob, where we can post TTM successes (is that even spelled right - looks hideously incorrect)? I would be more than happy to share any successes, along with valid addresses that I have as I verify them.

Bob, I think its a great idea! The more help that can be given to a collecter the better. QUOTE(bob_TCC @ Apr 14 2005, 01:43 PM) I just wanted to run this by all of you before adding the new forum and get your feedback... The thought is to create a new subforum here in the main Autographs forum such as "Autograph Addresses/Successes" where threads would be added to post addresses and then replies can be made to track the sending of requests along with the ultimate (hopefully) successes. Thoughts? -Bob

Sounds good and looks good! I've started adding some address that I know are valid. :-) Thanks! Joseph
