Products for this week's break (members must be able to pay by Saturday morning):

5 Box Mini-Case of Plates & Patches Football (5 Boxes – 20 Hits)

5 Boxes (half case) of 2009 SPX (5 Boxes – 50 Hits)

4 Boxes (half case) of 2008 Leaf Certified (4 Boxes – 16 Hits)

1 2007 or prior mystery box - No longer a mystery - 2005 UD Sweet Spot

Add-on Boxes: 1 Additional box of 2008 Leaf Certified and 1/2 Box of 2009 SPX (5 packs)

Pricing/Team determination:
Many of my previous breakers from my breaks have claimed certain teams already. Each break, the member who holds a team will have the option to retain the team in the next break. Pricing each each break will vary for each team. I will use my best judgment to price teams fairly. Hopefully the tiered pricing system will allow members who collect teams that may not have the top rookies or legends cards in certain products to still join the break at a lower price.

For this break, there will be 20 members required with a selected initial team team. (update - we will push for as member members to join as possible thus either reducing costs per random/help filling and/or increasing the amount of product)

The remaining 12 teams will be available as an add-on (first come first serve at a price of $25 per team. These assignments will determined by random.org. I will random the twelve random teams with the 12 members who choose to add on one of these random teams for $25. (update - we will push for as member members to join as possible thus either reducing the number of randoms/costs per random/help filling and/or increasing the amount of product)

Break Costs:
The fees collected will cover the cases, all paypal fees, supplies and shipping. The case will be purchased from BLOWOUTCARDS.COM, BigTSportscards, or Atlantasportscards, or other reputable dealer depending on who can offer the best pricing. As always, if for some reason we end up getting a better deal on a case then I have priced the break, I will buy a bonus box to cover the difference.

Payment:
Only paypal will be accepted and is due by Friday unless other arrangements are made with me. Anyone who can make early payment early in the week will be appreciated as I will be ordering and paying myself early in the week. Paypal address is tkdean@hotmail.com

Break Dates/Payments Due:
Payments will be due by the end of the week so we can break next Saturday!!
Card Determination and Cards with multiple Teams:
All cards will be given to the holder of the team shown on the card. The team in writing will take precedent over the pictured team if for some reason someone is pictured in their old team’s uniform but the card has the new team in writing. Any with multiple teams on the cards will follow the following process. If the card has one team that was a selected “held team” and a random drafted team, the card will go to the held team. If both were held or both random, it will be randomed on random.org. For triples, quads…….., if one person owns more than 50% of the cards teams with their held teams it will go to them. If not, it will be randomed between all held teams on the card (*random/drafted teams will not count for any of the multiple team cards). Any retired stars that played for multiple teams and they are featured in there college uniform on the card will go to the team played the most years for. Any cut signatures or other items not related to an current NFL team or Franchise will be randomed.

Patrick, they were a held team from the past and most likely Chris (Hail24) would reclaim them, but if not, they will be yours.

I'm working on a list of all teams that are held (and won't be open untill I can confirm that they won't be reclaimed), and hopefully will put the break details together soon too.

Thanks guys. Trying to finalize some products/prices now. Originally wanted to do a three case break of middle-end type stuff but may be hard to make that happen by next Saturday (we may still try though). Looking at some other options now.

Does anyone have any positive or negative thoughts on 2010 Plates & Patches? Don't know much about it. Some cards look good, but thought I saw somewhere where people weren't impressed with the product.

I have just worked it out to order everything from Josh at Atlanta Sportscards and I am about $160 short in my paypal to cover the boxes up front to make sure we have them by Saturday. Thanks guys. We are now "full". Three days to fill 20 spots. Not too bad! As the boxes/cases have already been ordered, payments by the end of the week are fine.

Now for the randoms. We have 8 of them open now for current members. A couple of options on these.

1.) Keep things as is with current members and hope that we can fill 8 more random spots. I hate to do this as I know all you guys will pick up the slack to help out even though you may not have really wanted too.

2.) Open the break up for 2-4 more spots with prices of $37.50, $35, $35 and $35. Then reduce all random spots (8 total-3 already taken) to $19, hoping the remaining 5 that were left would fill up at this price.

3.) Just keep pushing and fill as many spots by the weekend time (with prices slowly going down as teams dissapear) and possibly include an additional box or two. This will obviously effect the random teams pricing/#. For those of you who already signed up for random, the price will either go down, or we'll figure something else out for the leftover teams. Not fair to pay $25 for a random of bottom 5 instead of bottom 12 if you know what I mean.

Was going to message you anyway about the random spot since you already sent the $ and most likely the price will drop or something else will be done with the randoms.

Hey TK, I know the slot prices will go up and down depending on product. What I'm wondering is if the team slots will change as well. If say the team in a $40 slot becomes more desirable based on product does it move up to a $50 for example? Just wondering with the talk of picking up teams based on possible draft outcomes.

The answer to your question is yes. It will all depend on the products being opened eachbreak. For example, if we go all 2010 one break with a case of 2010 National Treasures or something, then the broncos/lions would be highest prices, 2009 (jets/lions), 2011 (??). So there is some incentive to grab potential good 2011 draft teams to go after top rookies, however when the time comes, the prices for these slots will go up as well. It's a trade off.

I'm all ears for coming up for fair ways to price the teams each break but I usually just do my best from info from auction breaks that happen and just general product knowledge/checklists to come up with something fair.

Good news! I think as of now based on a quick look at costs, if we can fill a couple more spots or get enough $ through randoms we can afford to include an extra box of 2008 Certified. If we can fill more than a couple more as selected teams fo $30 moving down to $25, we can potentially bump it up to a box of 2009 SPX. So, lets keep pushing forward!

Looks like we've got enough for 1 extra box of SPX and a little extra on top of that. Not quite enough to do 1 SPX and 1 extra LCM but I'll try to figure somthing out for the extra few bucks we have in the budget before Saturday. After looking at numbers all day, can't quite figure out a way to make it work tonight.If I can make it to the LCS before breaktime Sat, maybe I can grab a better box for the full amount of our budget overage.

Lets get the rest of the payments in tommorrow so we're ready to go Saturday. I'm thinking around 2:00 PM ET for an afternoon break if that works for most people?

Sounds good to me. I was actually going to suggest moving it to 2:30 anyway. Probably get of work myself around noon and have to take care of a few things before going live. Also, might have a couple of guest TCC'ers come over before/possibly during the break (Zimbow and WVUMountaneer7) so pushing back a half hour might let me get a little trading in with them too before the break.

I think what I'll do for the extra boxes, is do 1 full box of 2008 LCM and half a box of 2009 SPX if that works for everyone (I'll let you guys pick the packs live). That should be about perfect budget-wise.

T-minus 26 hours 45 minutes till breaktime !!!!!

Also, great job everyone! Filled a break with all 32 spots (and were able to add additional products), got all payments in with barely having to send one PM all within ONE WEEKS TIME!!!! Very impressive. I'm excited to be back to do a break and hopefully some good luck today will carry into some great future breaks this year for the group.

We can keep a similar budget to this break and have it be between $1,000 and $1,500 or if you guys prefer different we can go up or down from there.

Still working on a way to fairly value all teams (which will depend on the products) so that even those who picked up low value teams for a fraction of the price of other teams can still keep them, without throwing off the whole teired pricing system (assuming some people with higher priced teams drop). I'm probably making no sense but I'll figure something out. If any of you do understand what I'm trying to say and have any suggestions, let me know.

Hmm, tough decision on the boxes. Doesn't look like there's too much 08 stuff anymore. Maybe some Limited, SPX, Black, Platinum, Plates & Patches, Rookies and Stars? Just some suggestions. If people want to go high-end, I'd be in for that route too.

Yeah, I know there were some decent deals on some of the mid-end type stuff out there (like the stuff you mentioned). Maybe we'll try something similar to last one with going with some well valued products for 08/09 and maybe one of the hotter 2010 products now (SPA, Treasures, Contenders...depending on pricing). I'll try to come up with some options this weekends when I have time to look up some things and have access to the weekend sale prices from some of the big sellers.
