Just got his off of EBAY for $20.95 dlvd.....can't wait to get this one in. Indy....you've created a monster.....let me know what you think of this card.....it'll probably be the first I ever send off to have graded.

I'm sure there's a price out there for it....but I have no idea where to look. When 19thCenturyIndiannaJones comes back to the site he'll have far more knowledge on the subject than me....he has an incredible vintage collection.

Still waiting for Indy's input on this...but what does everyone else think??? More feedback welcomed.

Now that is one very nice kickass card. One grade lower (VGEX) goes for about $30. You got a good deal and the color is just fantastic!

If you like boxing, you may want to try Dave's Vintage. I've bought quite a few items from him, mostly raw T206s of the Cardinals.

That is nice, but how did you base your bid? I would not know how much to bid on these.

Over the weekend I did pick up a lot (apx 25 cards), of Wills Cigarette cards (black and white) from around the 40-60s (not sure). Pictures of Queen Elizabeth, golf, and historical things. Paid $3 for the lot but I was not sure if it was worth it. I have to get pictures and see if anyone knows anything on them.

Indy gave me some help through a PM on what to look for and I studdied some of the closed auctions on EBAY to see what similar cards were going for....considering that most of the 4.5's to 5.5's were going between $30 and $60 for boxing (I found that they were much higher for baseball) I had an idea of what I wanted to pay. I found these listed and there were several with no bids....I watched the auctions progress until there was about 2 minutes left before placing a bid. I bid on this one because by looking at the scan the colors seemed to be very nice, the corners are worn by not terrible and there's no visible creases in the card that can be seen in the scan. I was looking for a "conversation piece", maybe two, and I thought that this one was a good place to start. I might look at collecting a baseball card of that era or possibly a football card if they were even making them back then.....possibly a collegiate level card. It will probably be February before I try to pick up another one since I'm in the process of saving money for UD's release of 06 Flair baseball.
