Hello,

I was wondering if I could pick everyone's brain on something. My apartment was broken into once this year and they took a couple of things. Due to this, I've been a bit paranoid about having some more valuable cards stored there. They would be too easy to walk away with. I know that several of you have safes that you use to store your most valuable cards, and I want to look into this as an option.

I have a few quetions:

1: Does anyone have a specific safe they recommend? - I am looking for something big enough to hold quite a few cards, heavy enough to be difficult to walk away with, but small enough so as not to need tons of room.
2: For a fire-proof safe, what do you guys do to protect against moisture build up? It would really ##### to buy something to protect my cards and ruin them in the process...
3: Anything else I should take into account? Anything I am not thinking of?

Any advice is appreciated. I am not looking to spend a ton of money on this, so definitely looking for specific models that anyone recommends.

Thanks,
Zach

I would find somewhere where they would not think to look. Watching Storage Wars I see a lot of those smaller boxes get opened by being dropped on the corner. The only other type of safe you could get would be a full cupboard type or gun type safe, but those are big and having it may mean you will get multiple visits as they may think you have something real valuable in there and come back. Apartments are the worst for breakins.

Nice Paul. I wish I had access to a nice big safe like that, but I am going to see what I can do on my budget. I'll let you guys know what I come up with. Thanks for the pointers!
