i think Quinn is the QB of the future. the only thing is we havent had a chance to see what he can do he threw 8 passes all season. with anderson we all saw what he did last year. it would be nice to get a 1st and a 3rd, but im not sure any team is willing to give up that much for a guy who was inconsistent all year throwing 19 INTs

that is a question for Mr. Savage wink.gif

i think he wants to re-sign him so they have depth at QB if quinn is on the bench he is only garaunteed approx. 2 million for the next 2-3 years. all his incentives will not be reached.

Good point I guess. I'm just ot sure I see the logic in that. How can you know if Quinn is good if you don't play him?

he played pretty well in his limited action 3-8 but had two dropped TD passes by pro bowl players(edwards and winslow on back to back plays). and his preseason work was good but that is just preseason.

here is the report on anderson

Mary Kay Cabot, of The Plain Dealer, reports the Cleveland Browns offered QB Derek Anderson a three-year deal around the $18 million range. Anderson and the Browns have until Thursday, Feb. 28, to reach an agreement before Anderson becomes a restricted free agent

i think 25 or 26

but if he has a great season then maybe they can trade him after next season. im not real sure what there reasoning is but i cant complain if they have both QBs on the roster. we have never had a good QB since bernie and with a QB comes stability in the franchise.

i personally think that DA fits the system better he has a stronger arm than quinn not quite as accurate as quinn.

i think quinn would fit better in a west coast style offense. the browns like to pound you with jamal and then go deep utilizing the height and speed of the WRs and TEs

I like Quinn.

I know he has limited action but it doesnt seem that quinn makes the stupid passes that anderson makes. Examples the 2nd qrt of the cinci game and the 1st drive of the sanfran game. Going to the endzone on the first drive and he completely underthrows the receiver. You have to have the sense to throw it where only the receiver will get it.

Just my opinion.

Looking for Red Grange, Vince Lombardi Cuts HOF gu/autos. all cleveland and osu players.

It would only make sense to try and sign Anderson for more than one year because then they can get good value in Anderson or Quinn if they decide to trade. It's a great situation since they are both still young. The receivers have good chemistry with Anderson as well as the O-line so they should keep him in the Offense while they are playing well especially if they improve the D. Quinn can still be a good QB but you don't want his learning curve to hold back a team that could potentially compete pretty well.

Going after Rogers would be good since he is an animal if focused, and a contender is what he needs. Briggs scares me because I don't know if he's a product of they system for the Bears, Urlacher my have made him look better than he really is. Though I wouldn't mind taking a chance on him.

Keeping Winslow happy is key because he is the heart and soul of that team.
