New Stars for Young Stars Event 1/06/07: This was easily the most disorganized event I have ever been to. One minute they say guests cannot get autographs, the next minute they can no problem. Anyways it was pretty easy event besides it being disorganized. Here is what I got, with scans and pictures: Curt Schilling 1/1 Authentic Jersey on the 8 1/1 SS OMLB 1/1 05 Topps card Jon Papelbon: 1/1 SS OMLB 1/1 SS OMLB 1/1 03 BDP 1/1 03 BDP Craig Hansen: 1/1 8x10 of him pitching in Portland 1/1 06 Seadogs 1/1 06 Finest Manny Delcarmen: 1/1 8x10 that I took of him at a Yankee game last year 6/6 Cards Kason Gabbard: 14/14 Cards (06 Upperdeck cards came out bubbled so I plan on just removing the signatures and getting them signed at another time) Clay Buchholz: 24/24 Cards 1/1 SS OMLB Josh Papelbon: 2/2 Cards 1/1 SS OLB-1 David Pauley: 12/12 cards (Also gave him a few) Total Autographs: 71 Considering this was a somewhat structured event, I feel pretty fortunate to get what I did, and it was well worth the $100 spent. Besides Schilling, Papelbon and Hansen, all of the other guys would've done everything you had. I was gonna finish my stuff on Buchholz but I didn't want to ask for anymore as I will see him pretty soon again anyways. Also I am pretty happy because after we went to Seabrook to play some poker and I ended up winning a Sit-And-Go tournament and won $150. So today was a pretty awesome day. Next Event: Thursday Boston Baseball Writers Dinner

BC Red Sox workout: Did this this morning with bbacon24, would've been a better time if we didn't get kicked off and almost arrested the first time, but that allowed us time to go to Fenway, and go back to BC to eventually get them. Most did not sign though as they were really on a strict schedule and most had bats and stuff in their hands. Brandon Moss 2/2 8x10 photos Theo Epstein 1/1 03 Fan Favorites ------------------------------------- NH Baseball Dinner...... Well, not as good as I expected, but I cleaned up on a few guys... Chris Carpenter 0/4 cards before, 1/1 SS OMLB NL CY 05, 0/1, 0/1, 0/1.... Not in the best of moods, I guess the World Series changed him. The ball is not for trade/sale right now, but I will be getting a few at his signing tomorrow, and one SS with Cy inscription will be going to r8ght. Jeff Locke 26/26, gave him 2 cards... I talked with him as he was the first to arrive. Nice guy, I don't think he remembered me from this past year but why would he. Again, having another conversation with this kid, even though he is nice, he really isn't that smart. Ryan Patterson 18/18, 18/18...Including 2 X-Fractors, chrome, Justifiable and Bowman Heritage.... I had a few others but I had already gotten him on plenty... (EVERYONE'S 50/50's for Ryan ARE COMPLETE! There were a few people where I said I would get to them at the start of the season, but you will get your half back now as they are all signed) Rico Petrocelli 4/10 Bob Tewksbury 8/8 Adam Lind 1/1 SS OMLB, 1/1 SS OMLB (Other than being on his phone for a few minutes while I was waiting for him to sign my other ball, he wasn't too bad, he did multiples of cards; 2-3 easy and wasn't bad tonight. Chris Lambert was a no show, so people who sent me stuff for him, sorry but he wasn't there. Total autographs: 80 Next autographing: On my lunch break tomorrow I am doing the Carpenter signing at the Radisson. Monday if I have off I will be doing that Red Sox prospects thing at Fenway as well.... Seadogs 8x10's (Gotta get Coby on one of them still) Jacoby/Moss 8x10 (Still need Moss) David Murphy, Craig Hansen and Theo Epstein (Epstein was on Friday): NH Baseball Dinner: Chris Carpenter NL CY 05: Rico Petrocelli: Adam Lind SS (First one really nice): Adam Lind SS (Second one): Bob Tewksbury:

Did a decent job today. No scans as I have too much to do for tomorrow.
Rudy Giuliani: Rudy was at the Portsmouth Chamber of Commerce Breakfast at the Wentworth By the Sea hotel. Got him coming in, after his speech inside, and then after a private press conference.
2/2 ss omlb, 1/2 cards, 1/1 ss omlb
Barack Obama: Barack was doing a Town Hall Meeting in Rochester. Same format for getting stuff signed, you put your name on an index card and hand it to a PR guy.
3/3 books, 2/2 Time Magazines, and then 1/1 ss olb-1 (After the meeting and used my pen.. kinda wish I had brought another omlb though, instead of the olb-1)
NH Fishercats Meet and Greet: Jordan DeJong 2/2 Ricky Romero 4/9, 4/9, 4/4 Dustin Majewski 32/32 Dave LaRoche 26/26 Ryan Kolsterman 9/9, 9/9 Justin James 18/18 David Purcey 3/17, 3/17, 13/13
I would've gotten a team ball signed too, but just didn't put in the effort.
Total for the day: 137
Next up: Seadogs Welcome Back Dinner on Wednesday

April 4th: Portland Seadogs Meet and Greet:
Oh the irony on this one. Same event last year, same thing happened, it was snowing. Roads were terrible coming home. However, it was well worth the time and effort put into it.
Clay Buchholz: 9/9, 8/8, 7/7, 1/1 SS OMLB (95% of these cards were mine, and I have I think 4 of mine left, before I get to everyone else's from 50/50's) Jed Lowrie: 9/9, 4/9, 5/5 (Commented about the Mat-Su Minors card, he had fun with that one) Jacoby Ellsbury 2/2, 1/1 (8x10, and then as I asked him to sign the card as well, he asked me who do I make it out to... so I was like alright Nick. Well he screwed up (Not intentionally) and he spelled it wrong, then tried to correct it. Now it looks like To NIKK. I don't mind the personalization, but at least get it right! Andrew Pinckney 18/18 Jeff Corsaletti 18/18 Mike James 2/2 John Otness 2/2 Mike Cather 5/5 David Bacani 4/4 (2 cards, 2 championship 8x10's) Kyle Jackson 1/1 Andrew Dobies 5/5 (3 cards, 2 championship 8x10's) Jose Vaquedano 2/2 championship 8x10's Matt Goodson 2/2 Beau Vaughn 8/8 (Sat at his table, and was a pretty nice guy) Charlie Zink 9/9 Russ Morman 11/11 (9 cards, 2 championship 8x10's) Arnie Beyeler 6/6 Scott Shoemaker 2/2 Jeff Natale 8/8 Tommy Hottovy 3/3 (1 card, 2 championship 8x10's) Zach Borowiak 2/2 championship 8x10's Dusty Brown 2/2 championship 8x10's Barry Hertzler 2/2 championship 8x10's Bryce Cox 1/1 ss omlb
Total for the day: 160
Up next: Opening day in Manchester (NH Fishercats vs. New Britain Rock Cats)

------------- Since the games got cancelled today, I had to go to work. So after work, I decided to stop by the Rock Cats hotel for an hour and see what was up.
Jose Mijares 9/9 Anthony Swarzak 18/18 (As soon as he walked into the hotel, he looked straight at me and knew what I wanted. So I went up to him and asked him, and he said sure. Whomever was with him said something along the lines of me knowing exactly who he was and knew when he was coming in. We joked a bit about the weather and I asked him if he wouldn't mind doing another page, and he said sure I will get a couple. He then proceeds to do the full page. Great guy! )
Total: 27
Next Autographing: Saturday up in Portland (Weather permitting, most likely may do Manchester who really knows at this point) ---------------------------- Fishercats vs. Rock Cats...
SO COLD!
Trevor Plouffe 8/8 Anthony Swarzak 4/9, 9/9 (The 9/9 was outside post game in 20 degree wind chill temperatures! Everyone's 50/50's are done with for him, besides duffman, I have about 15 left) Jose Mijares 14/14 Garrett Guzman 2/2 Kyle Geiger 2/2
Total: 39
Next Autographing: Monday Portland Seadogs vs. New Britain Rock Cats (All depending if they cancel tomorrow's game as I really want to see Buchholz pitch.)
EDIT: YES THANK GOD~!!! They canceled up in Portland, so after my classes Monday, I will be heading up there!!

------------ Hillary was in Manchester tonight for a Town Hall Meeting. Got her after the event on the following: 3/3 (1 SS OMLB, 1 SS OLB-1, 1 Campaign poster), 1/2 ss omlb, 1/1 ss omlb The final ss omlb, I wanted her to use my pen. However, her whiny manager I think she is, told me that I had enough and to not try again. Same thing with one of the secret service people. So I tried, and I asked her to use my pen on this one, while in the background her manager was continuing to say.. sir you have had enough. Hillary finally used my pen and signed the ball. Needless to say, I was pretty happy that she didn't listen to her manager, as I finally have a nice ball from her. Total: 5 Next: Pawtucket vs. Scranton Saturday --------------------------- Pawsox vs. Scranton AAA sucks. It felt like a Major League game today with a bunch of lunatics pushing and shoving for players. Glad I won't be going down to Pawtucket very often. Everyone turned me down at least once, so I am only posting the successes and not all of the failures. Scranton: Phil Hughes 2/2 Jerseys, 1 with 04 Yankees 1st Round Pick Inscription, 1/1 ss omlb TJ Beam 2/6 Matt DeSalvo 1/1 Omir santos 2/2 Pawsox: Craig Hansen 1/2 David Murphy 1/4, 1/3 Brandon Moss 1/1 8x10 (Asked him to do his full name, said he couldn't.I am happy I finally finished this photo of him and Jacoby. Looks really nice) 3/9 cards Alex Ochoa 1/2 (Put the pen on the card after so it got marked up) George Kottaras 3/9, 2/6 Craig Breslow 1/6, 2/5, 1/3 Edgar Martinez 3/3 Kason Gabbard 1/4, 1/3 (Not even gonna comment on this one) Travis Hughes 2/2 David Pauley 3/9 Joe McEwing 2/2 Manny Delcarmen 9/9 Bryan Corey 1/1 Total: 47 Not bad for the size of the autographing crowd, and honestly besides Phil and Brandon, everything else was gravy. Next up: Portland vs. Trenton (Weather Permitting) Tuesday night Pictures for the masses: Inscription Jersey: Inscription Jersey Close: Jersey No Inscription: Jersey No Inscription Close: SS OMLB:

4/19/07: Bob Tewksbury: 43/82 I went to his work, and Mr. Tewksbury gladly took some time after he was done to sign some cards for me. He said he had to get going, and didn't have time to do them all. However, he was very nice and very personable.
I will review the lists of what people sent, and get everything sorted. Once I do that, depending on who's stuff is signed, I will split up some of my cards to a few people's cards that might not have gotten signed. That way at least you get something.
Thanks Nick ----------------------------- Seadogs vs. Fishercats Post game....
Well this was a lot harder than I thought. They shut off all the lights so I literally could not see a thing, and that is how I missed everyone basically. Once Lowrie passed, and I knew I missed him, I moved towards the bus and just got everyone else I needed there. I will chalk that one up as a lesson learned.
Anyways:
Clay Buchholz 4/9 (hmm.....) Jacoby Ellsbury 1/1 ss omlb (He was one of the last ones out, and this is how it went down: "Hey whats up man" "Jacoby can you please sign" Jacoby looks at my ball, then looks at the bus, then looks back at the ball and kind of sighs, and takes the ball and signs it. Signed it very small and did JY ELL) Jeff Natale 9/9 Andrew Pinckney 6/6 Eric Crozier 10/10 Chris Smith 5/6 Zach Borowiak 2/2
Total: 37
Next up: Barack Obama in Nashua.. then Yankees in Boston Friday and Saturday... It will be the first time in 8 years I get to go to a baseball game on my birthday, Saturday. __________________
