my parents north of Nashville got hit, they are OK but extensive damage all around them, have a sister up that way also who can't get to her house. I'm south of Nashville and there's a tornado heading my way, wish me luck.

Guys you wouldn't belive the damage all around the area here and we are still getting hit with storm after storm everyone which seems to have tornados. There's a small break right now for me but this has been very scary. I'm going to try to get up to my floks house tommorow, check out the pictures from Gallatin TN when they are on the news tommorow or tonight, so far the local ABC has been the only one able to get into the worse hit are up there but it's all around.

Glad your safe Krusin - send me your card collection, I'll keep it warm for ya! The weather in the USA has been bad pretty this winter, early spring. Out here in CA we've hit record highs in rainfall and many parts of alot of cities have incurred flooding - it's one of the coldest and wettest years that I can ever recall.

Jaderock.....send the rain to West Texas....we're desperate for it right now....if we don't get it soon this whole place is going to dry up and blow away....the cotton industry will be in the dumper if we don't get some rain soon. The last two years have been awesome so that might help the cotton farmers survive this year....but a lot of them will still go under if they don't rain soon!!!!!

Got to see my parents neighborhood today and man were they lucky, check out the pics below. The pictures you've seen on the news of the car lots that were hit was behind thier condo, then the thing came into thier neighborhood and trashed a few hundred houses and leveled many.

the 1st pic is a little sideing damage they suffered along with a bit of roof & garage door damage, a few others in the condo suffered a little window damage but nothing compaired to the street behind thier house. I only took a couple of pic's and thier are places that were worse, a lot worse.

I'm glad your folks are ok....Tornado's amaze me....I've seen it to where a tornado has sucked a house and foundation up but the house next to it was untouched.

I've heard of that area don't know that I've ever been there, northeast of Memphis - right? My folks live in Gallatin where the worse damage was, I live in Smyrna just outside Nashville going towards Chatnooga on I-24.

WOW....that's some ugly damage. I remember when I went to Jarrell TX and did search and rescue after the F-5 hit them back in 97.....there was one house that had been hit....everything was gone...including the concrete foundation.....ripped loose from the ground and GONE!!!!! At the end of the driveway and in the middle of the damage path was the mail box....still standing....it had been completely turn around 180 degrees....the door on the mail box was open...but the mail was still inside. Jarrell is about 40 miles north of Austin on I-35 and they were finding mail from Jarrell in Pflugerville which is about 30 miles SOUTH of Austin. Working that F-5 tornado and doing search and rescue (unfortunately there wasn't anyone to rescue, 27 dead) for three days was the LONGEST 72 hours of my life.
