Looks interesting but yeah for only two hits. Looks like that means UD won't be doing Champs and maybe Masterpieces as putting them in the Parkie.

Yeah, I think this is "Champs" since it has all the same features, the minis, the fossils, etc. Just a new variation. I hope it is good, but will have to wait for it to be released.

It would be nice to see them release a Legend type product.

those wire photo cards look extremely cool!

Champs was just as pricey and only 2 hits per box!

Yeah, I kinda can't wait to see it live, just wish it was a little cheaper so I could get an extra box.

You are right both Champs were just as pricey, but the 09-10 dropped to $60 while the 08-09 kept it's price and went higher $100+. But they both had more hits, 3 hits in 08-09 and 4 in 09-10 per hobby box. Guess it is like everything else today, pay more to get less. laugh.gif laugh.gif

Without a sensational rookie crop, lack of big names and their continued arrogance and general disdain for the collector, I don't see UD being around much longer. Next step will be the upper level execs leaving like rats from a sinking ship.
They deserve what they get.

Jeff, I don't think that UD is alone on cornering this market. I am not thrilled with UD or Panini from a hockey perspective, but right now I am liking UD a little more than Panini. Panini missed the chance to win me over. I wanted something different, yet I felt I got the same or less on most products I bought, beyond that I am sitting on redemptions going back almost a year on some products and there were just too many redemptions overall in their products this year (football and hockey). I did not buy as much in UD products as I had previously, but when I did buy new UD products I don't remember getting any redemptions. If I did they were already redeemed.

Sad to say my favorite two products last year were Score and OPC, both were at a nice price point, had enough chase cards to make it fun to build the set, and both were enjoyable to open. I am hoping that this Parkhurst product is similar, but not sure.

This product released yesterday, can't wait for my box to get here, want to see if it lives up to the hype I have seen elsewhere. There is a sweet black and white of Mario and Gretzky from the 87 Canada Cup game winning goal, auto'ed by Mario, that is my hope for my hit. laugh.gif It is a sweet picture, would have been even sweeter if they would have had both players auto the card.
