I have a few questions or looking for suggestions.

First off, I am working on a few projects

a. the Ultimate Hockey card Catalog (one card for every set ever made, (euro, main, insert, parallel, minor promo)

Presently storing these by year for 1990 to present, decade for the periods before.

b. Colorado Avalanche Catalog

Presently Storing by year

c. Boston Bruins Catalog

Just in a box.

Now the questions/suggestions

Thinking about changing the way I store the Avs and Bruins cards by player? Possibly in binders, boxes.

Any suggestions or comments?

if anyone pulls a Kari Lehtonen auto let me know it is one of two I need for the set.

be cautious the packs can be resealed.

QUOTE(urbanmonk @ Nov 21 2009, 12:30 AM)
See if any interest in this.  6 packs per box with one 8x10 AU per pack and one EU in 4 card pack of regular size cards inside the pack.

I picked it up for $76 on the Bay.  Think we will go with 6 spots, and do a random drawing for each pack (that way everyone gets a 8x10 AU).  Go with $17.50 a spot to cover shipping/fees and the 8x10 toploaders to protect them (also had to buy bigger bubble mailers to mail those).

1.  Dwight
2.  Mike(maple19)
3.  Brian(bajmurray)
4.
5.
6.

I am using thecardcollector at the moment and also using Beckett. Beckett is ok if you organize your collection correctly. I use codes for wants (W), Trade (T) and Not for trade (NFT) with the set names. I also have some set up by player.

On the Card Collector it has its advantages and disadvantages.

Good points: reports, organized quickly, adding cards, seperate collections (no limits on how many you have) I have mine setup, for the different sports tradelists and other types of collections.

Bad Points: Initial Cost and updates. Not all the sets are loaded at the moment. I know for hockey Becket has over 10,000 sets and I believe there are only 5000+ in the card collector at the moment. the site says they are adding more monthly and I see that. I just put those sets to the side to catalog them later.

In closing I would go with the card collector. I had the program and have changed it many times and gone to other to only come back to it recently.

On Beckett, I lost my whole collection online when Beckett converted to this new beta version and had to start over.

email or pm me for other questions.

Mark

The Thornton is from the 97-98 Pinnacle Beehive Golden Portraits. They do not sell to well. I am interested in it for my Thornton collection. Maybe $ 1.50-3.

QUOTE(oopie @ Mar 19 2008, 05:36 PM)
hi!

I just joined the forum. Seems like the only place where I could have any info of the value of these cards:
1.patrick roy's padmen card from ultra 95-96 series. it has extra round golden "stamp" over the ultra logo. I remember having bought loads of ultra 95-96 cards. Padmen were the most rare and getting that golden "stamp" on the ultra logo was also quite rare thing to see... any guesses?

2.joe thornton's big beehive (made by pinnacle) card from 98. it's a shiny card, unlike the normal ones...

3. mario lemieux coin made by nhlpa 95. says no. 66 and "limited edition".

4. future hall of famer plastic coins from 95, pavel bure and peter forsberg.

hope my explanations were good enough. smile.gif I do have over 50 pavel bure cards some of em might be worth something, but I'll ask later about that.

thanks in advance!
