SCF was a powerhouse forum for all things cards a decade ago, but since has been bypassed by Blowout for activity.

The original owner stepped away completely the past 2 years and finally decided to sell the site to a former staffer.

Although I've made some nice buys/trades over the decade, I don't visit them much, but good luck ... sometimes a change of hands is a good thing.

I think this is the fate of card forums, surviving on store sites, since the hobbyists go there already.

Good maybe I go back now I got over 1000 plus trades there and also look after the TTM forum for them to they change that and the way they change that I myself did not like

Facebook is taking a lot away every time some one needs some thing I can get it in a trade over there almost all the time..day or two

I guess I check out SCF again Been 3 or 4 years for me

Yes forums in general seem to be dying.

I'm still in the anti-Facebook/Twitter trading camp. My main reason is for Facebook is I like to have my Facebook friends be people I really know in someway in the real world. Also many of my real world friends and family don't gives a rats rear about the trading card world so I don't want to bore or bother them with stuff in the card universe. So for "socializing" in the card world I stick to forums and blogs/blogging.

I recently saw someone who actually had a separate Twitter just for his cards & for buying/trading purposes. Not a bad idea if you ask me.

Whenever I try and trade on Facebook I run into morons and people just trying to rip me off and wasting my time. I just stick to the forums

I remember having around 20 pending deals at given time on there once upon time. Haven't logged in years but I admit they were on to something by selling ad's and their TTM database was a gold mine once... Then all went to B.O.

Im out of the loop concerning most sites and the hobby in general. I'm just glad this place is still here. If Steve or anyone else has login credentials to the hosting account I pray the site and database is being backed up somewhere in case Bob sells the domain name or stops paying hosting.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe the only access anyone has is to the administration control panel. Bob still is the lone member with any type of server access. Of course I could be wrong, but that's the last I heard. I'm still hopeful that Bob will either come back to resurrect the site or transfer the site to someone who will. As he's always said, though, we don't have to worry about the bills not being paid.
