Outline · [ Standard ] · Linear+ Ehlers Young Gun Error Variation

Here I am again looking for help, and opinions.

I currently have 2 Ehlers Young Gun cards, but in one the Young Guns
cuts half way into Nikolaj Ehlers name. If you line them up side by side
your clearly see the grey portion at the bottom of the card is different in size and larger on the error variation. Has anyone seen this or heard of this with any of his Young Guns cards. Or any other Young Guns from this set. Should I feeling lucky and think I have a rare variation, or disappointed that I have a distorted card. Let me know what you all think.

I was going to say possibly a cutting error. Sheet of cards not lined up properly in the machine. Either way probably not worth much and actually a detraction to the card, unless someone collects "error" cards. I am sure someone out there probably does, but I don't see it being worth a premium. IMO

I’ve got several with the same type of misprint (from 15/16 and other years). I kind of thought like you that maybe they’d be some
Rare error card so I’ve dug into them on eBay and found similar ones that have sold. They’re don’t sell for anything more. In most cases it was a little less. I’ve only ever gotten misprints like that from the retail stuff, never hobby.

Are you starting a conspiracy theory that hobby has better quality control than retail???? I say no way, Upper Deck does not care more for either buyer as long as they keep buying.

Have never seen a misprint in a Young Gun before, at least I have both versions of this one.
