Just look at the failed transactions sometime, not all newbies but some oldies seem to go sour at times. New to the site verses old means little, like ace said people do turn to the "dark side" at times. I belong to two online rental sites, one is games for my PSP (kid at heart) and movies. Both sites have a "trust first" policy. If you send back a game or movie and it never arrives, or vice versa, they put it on record (check mark) but do not make you pay. One too many of these then they take a hard look at you. To me I trust until proven otherwise, but I don't assume anyone should have to trust me, they want me to send first, no problem, but it will go DC. Remember DC is not only to insure the receiving end don't pull a fast one, but to track the postal service too, things do get lost in the mail now and then.  Nice writeup Steve! |
