Well, here is my issue. I recently acquired a good chunk of money that I would like to use to buy a Sealed case of Hockey Cards. I have never bought a case before. Just lots of boxes. Can someone tell me a good case to buy? Im thinking about IN THE GAME, but there are so many series, im kinda lost. IM looking to chase some nice retired HOF, but I also am looking for best bang for my buck. Please give me some Inputs. Thanks

If you're looking for retired HOF, definitely look at ITG's products. While I'm not a fan of slabbed cards, they have a very good following and DO produce cards for the guys you're looking for on a larger scale than the other big players.

No no and no..

canadiana is a mixture of sports and non sports not just hockey

ITG ultimate is a great product for autos and GU of HOFERS however it is limited and tough to find and EXPENSIVE ($700 or so per box) 2 per case

and you would want to go back a few years to optimize your chances for some real vintage stuff Like

ITG UM V - X ..

do not buy this years or last! But remember they do not have a license!

Look at my ITG UM library in my bucket and see what year you like and go from there.

Let me look around a bit and see what else I can find!

Good Luck, I would have gone with ITG Ultimate as well. Just depends on what you want. They just put out Stickwork, and there are always the ITG Decades 80s or ITG Decades 90s for some of those era players. For the older ones you might something like 8-09 UD Masterpieces hockey if you can find it. Has all eras through roughly late 80s early 90s, has Orr, Howe, and others and I think 3 hits a box, but redemptions are expired. There are some other products like this focused on older players, but that and the 11-12 Parkhurst the most recent efforts I can think of from UD. I wouldn't recommend Parkhurst as you only get 2 hits a box and I saw a bunch of yuck hits for those 2 hits. Ultimate would probably be better, but is more expensive per box. Good Luck!

I cant wait to see your break..
have you ever busted itg ultimate before?

If not you are in for one of the greatest box bust experience of your life!

did you buy a 2 box case or just a box?

going to need some graded card team bags to keep the cases scratch free

here is hoping for a nice made to order or cut .

maybe a Tavares rookie auto patch or a nice duallie of sakic Forsberg or maybe some sweet 1/1 of vezina or cyclone taylor GU

Needless to say you pull anything of vezina or cyclone and you just doubled your spend!

I haven't opened but a few packs, many years ago due to the price, but I liked what I pulled and ended up picking up cards from other series on the secondary market when affordable. I have a stack of over a dozen in my PC. I hope to get more at some point.

Steve is right you should get the graded card sleeves to keep them from getting scratched up if you are going to put them in your pc.
