The Sosa era was fun in Chicago. But, Sosa brought it on himself with his drug use and selfishness in the locker room. An awful lot of credit is given to the Cubs for ruining his image, but really, I think the true Sammy came out and we (fans) didn't like it. His head got too big. I mean, Cub fans do become attached to their players, and to an extent, ownership sometimes has to justify a move. But, take Steve Stone and Mark Grace for instance, Cubs tried to smear and tarnish both of these fellas reputations because of disagreements, but they both came out on top and are enjoying much success with still a very loyal fan base not only with their new teams, but in Wrigleyville as well. I think Mr.Sosa has spent his millions upon millions and is needing some cash. In my opinion, it seems like a fitting ending to a player whom turned his back on his own team. BUT, it sure was fun when we were all naive!! I think I still have an unopened box off Sammy-O's!! |

QUOTE(urbanmonk @ Aug 9 2010, 09:18 PM) Generally it is faster coming to the States, but this may be one of those occasional exceptions (the 2% one as many of my transactions between the States and Canada. That is very odd but correct. Although neither of our faults-16 days later this trade has finally come to a conclusion!! Thanks again! Card received! |

QUOTE(maple19 @ Aug 9 2010, 03:27 PM) Got Card No DC in Canada mike Thank you Mike- I always use DC, I would have been more clear had I been able too, but like you said, no DC to Canada. I was worried about this one, glad you received it. Curious, was there a stamped send date of when I sent this? 13 days? I will expect my card in about 2 weeks! |

QUOTE(bcoleman123 @ Jul 18 2010, 07:43 PM) 2007 Sweet Spot Classic Classic Memorabilia ####### Bruce Sutter Cubs Pants 2010 Topps Allen and Ginter Relics #RC Robinson Cano 2005 Diamond Kings Materials Silver #286 Jack Morris Jsy-Jsy 025/100 I'm interested in these. Would you move them for base RC's? Let me know. They'd have to be decent rookies. Not out of the question though. |
