I was not a trooper like a couple of people on the boards but I did go to Border's in Fairview Heights, IL at 12 noon. I picked up copy number 2145.
That's right 2145 copies sold from 12 am to 12 noon. That is amazing.
I have yet to start reading it though, I'm working on the Perfect Storm right now.

Also the hardcover harry potter 6 book only cost $20 new which is a very nice price for what I hope will be a quality book.

quality book indeed, Ive read it and it was the best of the series IMO.

we have this problem aswell between clubs, their players and their countries. In the english soccer game, when a player is called up by the england team coach, the player is expected to show up. However due to a stupid amount of irellevent games(such as the U.S tour next month) many clubs are refusing to let players go on tour. But in the end, the player is often forced to play for his country, unless he personally doesnt want to of course. which as you can guess doesnt go down very well with the fans.

This is why when the england team comes to play two games in the U.S next month, the team will be without many of the major stars such as David Beckham as their clubs have told them to rest.

i dont mean to hijack this thread or anything but you seem to collect more than one set of cards and I was wondering how much you expect to spend on cards every season.

this is one of the first things that I thought about the hobby, there are too many sets. It confused me and still does over which set to collect, I mean is there any need for 50+ sets. Alright there are always going to be numerous brands eg. Topps and Fleer. Having these can only increas the quality of the hobby, but when each brand releases set after set after set, then the quality can only been reduced.

So you get a few rare cards .. but you have to break open the set to find out what they are (reducing the value of the set !)

oh dont worry thats my plan anyway, ill enjoy looking through the cards and putting them into a folder/s. Not too bothered about the worth of them, I mean being a factory set, what are the chances that they will become worth something in the future anyway?

has anybody seen one of those factory boxes fo cards, that hold every base card from that season. Im thinking about buying one from last season and wanted to know if anybody had any more info to share. Obviously its a very quick way of collecting all the base cards in a set, but there is no chance of getting a rare card.

Ive seen a few of these sets on Ebay and they look good for their price, but has anybody on here ever bought one. I know Topps do them and I was going to look at getting the Washington Nationals boxset in particular.

Git the cards today Bob, very nice...I like the look of the Fleer cards and the material that they were made with is also great. They all arrived in great condition and are now neatly stored in one of my folders, ready for my box of baseball cards next month. Thanks again for the cards m8.
