16 Members. You pick your team. The 16 remaining teams will be picked by a draft held each month.
Fee is $25 a month. That buys $360-370 of hobby boxes each month for us to bust and pays for shipping & supplies.
You get all base, inserts, gu, autos, ect of your teams that is pulled from the boxes.
Duals go to the member who gets least amount of Autos & Gued from his owned team. (of course the member must own the team that is part of the dual smile.gif)
Duals pt 2 - If a dual involves a owned team and a drafted team...the owned team gets the card.
Duals pt 3 - Tie - Serial Numbered cards are counted along with the autos & gued cards.
If you fail to pay by the DUE DATE, YOU will not participate in the break. Your team will be sold and your membership forfeited.
NEW RULE
If you're interested in changing your owned team, you must do this before the draft. If you change owned teams, you will automatically be put at the bottom of the draft order for the current month.
TRANSACTIONS: Within ONE week prior to our break or soon after the break occurs, our breaker will create transactions for every member involved. Please make sure you confirm/agree on YOUR transaction thread.
FUTURE MEMBERS: Please understand that there is a waiting list. If you would like to add your name to this list, then please contact WestCoastSkinsFan . When a spot is relinquished, the 1st person off of the list is notified. Anyone who can pay the monthly fee can join. We have ZERO restrictions.

Yea, blue keeps his normal spot of the Cowboys. tileman keeps his spot of the Titans. He was MIA and put on CTO when he was out on vacation. We skipped this month to allow him to clear up, so he is back this month.
Avaholic never responded to multiple PMs, so we open up a spot. WestCoastSkinsFan has the wait list.
I am breaking again this month.

I agree that would be fun...but isn't that an awful long wait. Normally, we break 1st week or so. Draft is the 25th and 26th. The following months break would only be a couple weeks after, thus options for flea's press pass...

Here's something we can do. I just like these various set for the value they offer, and the overall mix of current/retired players:
08 Donruss Classics (3 auto/GU) - $85
08 Donruss Threads (4 auto/GU) - $76
08 Press Pass Legends (5 auto, 1 GU) - $100
05 Leaf Certified Materials (4 auto/GU) x2 -$55
Total: $371
I know that I'll catch flack for suggesting Press Pass, but I LOVE the set and the variety of players. We could avoid any problems with the whole "who goes to what team" by going with whoever the player played with for the longest period of time. Montana goes to the Niners, Favre goes to the Packers, etc.
I have to say that I'm sad, though! 07 Limited and 06 Flair (two of my favorite throw-in products) are either too expensive or out of stock, respectively.

Although, I am not fond of PP, I believe we have no choice but to include next month, it will be the first product for this year, so yes, we have to do it....
(I generally don't find to many 264s in it...)

The first option gives 21 hits the next option gives 26 hits.
I think both are pretty solid choices for box break.
I personally like the 2nd option. It gives a mixture of 2006-08 rookie classes along with star players.

This is going to be our last break with 08 stuff. We should have some options with better 08 stuff in it. Not 06 07 08.
I know we are going to have to do Press Pass next month so please lets not have it this month. Press Pass has no value in it unless you are collecting your favorite college. A group break just doesn't make much sense to me with college product.
And how come every time Sam suggests a group of boxes there is always Classics involved???

I doubt this will be the last break with 08 product. There won't be more than a few 09 products out for quite a few months. I imagine we'll be about 50/50 on 08 and 09 for a bit.

Not to single anything out, but I'd advise MAJOR caution with Chirography.
I fell victim to it once, and after I was through getting my butt kicked by it, I did a little research on it. It's chock full of very low-end stuff. I've seen maybe 1 good break out of about the 20 I could find. Unless you really like guys like Garrett Wolfe and Jason Hill, I'd advise against that product specifically. I think we'd be much better off getting some stuff like Classics or Threads or something like that if we're looking for 07 stuff.

Yeah, I started to watch some videos of that stuff too last night, and I did notice that nothing good was coming out of it, maybe every 1 in 3 tins their would be a decent hit of an old timer, or star, but other then thant didnt see much in it.

I'll continue to pitch PP Legends every month when we don't have a clear-cut, current year product. I think it's a fantastic value given that you can hit on card autos of guys like Montana, Theismann, Earl Campbell, etc.

I have been horn swoggled again. I was supposed fly home last Friday. Due to site issues, I was asked to stay till Wednesday (tomorrow), well guess what, just changed my flight to this Friday night....grrrrr.....

I actually like the idea of a new owned team draft. It could go something like this:
-Freeze all "owned" teams until after the draft.
-ALL members get randomized.
-After the draft, we go down the list. When you're up, you have the option to switch teams to an open team.
-Members who switch still must go to the bottom of the list, but in this case, I think it'd make sense to reverse things a bit. If 4 members switch, the first to switch (the person who had the highest draft slot) goes last, etc.

The idea is that you don't have to give up your team.
But, before the draft, you have to say if you are looking to switch or not before the NFL draft. If you say you are keeping your team, then you have to keep them for the next break. If you want to switch, you loose your team and we draft with the the people changing teams. After the NFL draft then the people changing teams pick their new owned team.
This would make it fair.
Does everyone agree with this?

What are we doing about teams wanting to switch after the draft. I think everyone needs to decide before the draft that way teams can't decide after it. I put how it shoud work in an earlier post. whoever is breaking should start the topic now.

The problem with this is that the people later in the "draft" drop their teams and the people who were at the front can't pick that team that was dropped. It is easier to just do it with the people who want to drop their team. Even if we wait until after the draft, we need to know everyone who is switching before picking.
