Trading Card Central members are always willing to help out on price checks, but PLEASE provide as much information as possible when making a request. 1. When more than one price check is need in a given day, please keep all requests in a single thread. 2. We understand that sometimes identifying a card can be tough. So with that in mind, the more infomation provided from the following list below, the easier it is for the someone to answer it. The list include: 1. Year 2. Card Company 3. Brand 4. Set Name 5. Player's Name 6. Card # 7. Serial # Example - 1999 Fleer Sports Illustrated Autograph Collection Randy Jones (No # on back) 3. If possible, a scan or photo of item is helpful as well. 4. After you get your price check, a "thank you" reply is HIGHLY appreciated. NOTE: Be aware that rarer cards WILL NOT have a BOOK VALUE - in most cases that means cards under #/15-25. Also newer cards JUST RELEASED generally take AT LEAST 6-8 weeks even for Beckett to LIST them on their OPG!!! SO please BE PATIENT!

here's a plug For older cards (pre 2000) and soon to be current ... you can look up the additional details with the Card Search on OpenChecklistyou just need the card number (if there is one) and any part of the title of the card (usually the players last name) -that way you can get a better idea of the, brand and manufacturer before asking .. just a note .. It might take about 15-30 seconds (depending on how many cards it finds)

Also, please be aware of the great collecting tool called "Beckett My Collection." Prices of cards can be found for FREE; prices are usually updated after the OPG expires.

[color=green][size=4][font=Arial]I thought it was against Beckett rules to freely give out pricing that people, like myself, pay money to get. Maybe some things there have changed that I am not aware of. I also feel that it would be much better if you changed this part: QUOTE "NOTE: Be aware that rarer cards WILL NOT have a BOOK VALUE - in most cases that means cards under #/15-25." to something like this: QUOTE "Cards that are serial numbered out of 25 or less do not have pricing available. Feel free to check Completed Listings sections of sites like Ebay for current market values of rare card types."
Using proper grammar, sentence structure, capitalization, and punctuation when posting is highly encouraged. I don't have all day to decipher the code that under educated or lazy people consider to be posts or messages. Have some respect for the person that has to read what you are typing. I specifically purchase sealed boxes of baseball cards with the full intention of opening and selling the single cards to collectors looking to fill holes in their collections. I open every box of cards on video and post the videos to YouTube. I DO NOT TRADE. I spend thousands of dollars a year of my own personal money on cards. I certainly don't do it to just trade them away for more cards that I can't examine first, and would then have to spend even more money to ship out. I simply couldn't benefit from trading. QUOTE(BenhamCollectibles @ Dec 10 2011, 11:46 PM) I thought it was against Beckett rules to freely give out pricing that people, like myself, pay money to get. Maybe some things there have changed that I am not aware of. It would be remarkably difficult for them to enforce that "rule" since collectors and sellers willingly provided that information on multiple forums, via e-mail, chat rooms, and personal messages, auctions, garage sales, swap meets, in-person amongst friends, etc., etc., etc. Oz
