When I saw this package I couldn't figure out what it would be. I knew it had to be a redemption card but thought I had received all my outstanding redemptions. I guess I had one left.

Anyway I got this Upper Deck 2008 SPX Rookie Signatures on sticker auto (blue sharpie) of Collin Balester. Cool.

Got some 2005 Topps Heritage from a sales transaction with bcoleman123 there were "a bunch" of them totaling 63 cards. These are some nice looking cards. The only downside a couple of them at one time had been water damaged, so those few are slightly warped and have a light musty/damp smell to them, not too bad though. They don't look damaged they just have strange warps. A little disappointment but what can you expect for only $5.00 for 63 common cards?

Anyway here are the numbers:
11, 15, 32, 35, 40, 50, 51, 56, 62, 72, 98, 100, 115, 118, 128, 131, 136, 147, 148, 150, 153, 159, 163, 165, 176, 177, 180, 185, 187, 214, 220, 222, 231, 235, 240, 251, 262, 269, 276, 280, 284, 287, 298, 303, 306, 311, 322, 324, 332, 333, 345, 349, 350, 352, 354, 371, 378, 380, 382, 387, 392, 394, 395

I posted some of this already in the Time to give something back thread in the Contests and Giveaways section of the boards. Here is the complete load that I got.

Got my package from Chris (crpalmi). Lots of nice stuff, mostly Football but a few baseball and a little basketball (of some guy named Garnet, must be some loser rookie laugh.gif )

I thought I already had a ton of Marshal Faulk cards, but dang this is an easy 20 or so more as a Ram as a Colt in his College Uni. It's Faulk Cult Madness! Some of these I think I already have, but at this time I'm not 100% sure because all my Faulks are in a couple of different boxes and I haven't really sorted them properly.

Marshall Faulk
IN College UNI (All in his College Uni are for trade
1994 Classic Games inc* NFL Draft '94 - in his San Diego State Uni (2) FT

2004 Bowman Sterling Nick Johnson Expos GU Bat BS-NJ
2004 Topps Traded Gold Milton Bradley Dodgers T10 #/2004

BASKETBALL (not a big fan of this sport)
1995 Classic Marketing Inc (was Classic Games) Kevin Garnett 5 (3) FT

and my first ever "Graded" card. blink.gif I've been avoiding these mostly because:

*I thought they are a pain to store, you have to keep them in separate areas from your ungraded cards due to the case they are in.
*The cost of sending your cards to a company to get graded vs. the grade they will come back as. etc..
*The confusion of which company to use. There are about a dozen companies and only 3 or 4 are worth using, depending on who you talk to.
*The distance between you and the card through the plastic tomb. It's like looking at your new born kid through the glass window at the hospital.

Anyway the graded card is a 1997 Topps Basketball Kevin Garnett Graded by FGS (Finest Grading Service) Gem Mint 10. Yowzers. Like I said some loser rookie guy. laugh.gif Probably FT for something really good (not necessarily graded, not sure if I'll get into that)

A thousand and one thanks at least Chris. YOU ROCK! TCC ROCKS!

*Classics Games is a card company from the late 1980s early 90s that was part of the overproduction of sports cards and as a result many of these cards are barely worth collecting your favorite player of.

Got an Ebay auction of 15 cards from 1970 Fleer World Series set with drawings by Robert Laughlin. These are the "blue backs". In '71 they released a second set with black backs and some minor changes to the fronts.

Here is a link to a blog that gives an excellent explanation of the whole thing. The Fleer Sticker Project Blog: 1970 & 1971 World Series Cards

I also got my booty from the FB group break hosted by Webbgems (Joel) My picked teams were Redskins & Rams, Draft/Random teams were Colts and Seahawks.

Then from a Sportlots Auction I got a Repro.
The seller claimed he didn't know if it was a reprint or an original, I paid $12.75 Dlvd for a reprint (unknown year of printing) of the 1951 Rookie Card of Willie Mays. That is the most I am willing to pay (well $15 dlvd really) for a reprint.

Got a couple of Cubs cards from bajmurray in today's (Tuesday 19 May) Mail

2001 Leaf Limited Rookie Game Worn Pants Corey Patterson #/650 Mostly white but there is a tiny piece of blue in the left corner. Pretty nice.

Next:
2003 Donruss Studio Sammy Sosa GU interesting it has a 2003 MLB All-Star Game logo on the front, then has a "John Hancock All-Star Fanfest" Logo on the back but the Game Used material is from the Cubs/Reds game from 1 April, 2002 a white... wait for it....

Base.

A Game Used piece of base. So wait Sammy didn't steal any bases that night, Donruss did. So they could put them on cards, the thieves! laugh.gif

Anyway the score was Reds 5 Cubs 4.
