Hmm, I looked at the checklist on UD's website and couldn't find the mini's in question! There's the #1-150 minis/parallels and the #211-252 mini exclusives/parallels, but only see the SP and Super SP on the regular sized cards! Also on a sidenote, I've read about base set background variations (like Turkey Red)!

Heya Steve, what did you get as your case hit? And was it a redemption? The only ones I've seen up on the 'bay have been redemptions! If it wasn't a redemption would love to see a scan!

After hearing about the Creative Cardboard release I found some images and thought they looked awful familiar! Definitely ITG style and design.

I haven't broken anything in a while but I have a case of Goodwin on the way from Shawn. I'll probably break it in 3-4 sessions because I don't want to burn through it all in one sitting, but I'll be sure to post hits/pics! Hoping for any one of an "A" list auto, Omaha Beach sand, or Titanic coal!

Give Shawn at Diamondcards a call too, he's always willing to be provide as much information as you want, and if there's a pre-release price out there he can get it for you.

I was looking through beckett and saw a little article (not much of one) about 2009 Upper Deck Philadelphia..... any ideas on what this product will be like?

Looking at the previews it looks a lot like the football version of Goudey Baseball.

If I don't have supplies available I usually just keep the cards in the packs/box they came in along with the base cards. If you're looking for something more permanent at the very least I would put them in a penny sleeve, and put them in a long count box along with some dummy cards to keep them from rattling around.

2008 Allen & Ginter is like $55 a box - just over your limit but the base cards are keepers and the minis are nice if you strike out with the hits.

-08 Rookies and Stars - 4 hits for just over $50, lots of manufactured patch autos but they look nice.

-09 UD Draft Edition - 5 autos, mostly all on-card, per box. Almost every break I've seen has turned up at least one good auto.

-08 Absolute Memorabilia - 4 hits in a higher end product that's dropped in price, and you're not stuck with stacks of base cards.

I would avoid Topps - their "Grouping" system makes the high end autos very hard to pull, you're often stuck with a bunch of low end whozits!

33 BOXES!!! Amazing break, I'm really surprised that you only had one dupe in the entire break! I bet some people who opened the Presidential Cuts are kicking themselves with the number of presidents that appear to be seeded in this!

A Billy Mays mini framed auto in any of the A&G sets would have been an amazing card!! The back could have said "Legendary Pitchman". If only...

Razor Sports Icons is ridiculously good. Go look at some of Steve's breaks in the box breaks sections. If you can find any, definitely considering buying!

I just hope Chipper didn't juice

If there's one HoF caliber player that I'd bet the house on that didn't juice it would be Chipper Jones. Jim Rome interviews him every year and the question of steroids in baseball always comes up. Chipper always has unrehearsed off-the-cuff answers about both himself and other players in baseball where after you listen to the interviews either there is no way he could have juiced, or he's the best liar in pro sports.

I think it's criminal that a 1/1 is forever ruined because of someone trying to make a quick buck. I'm starting to like more and more how Razor and In The Game are pre-slabbing their high end releases. I think it's something the major companies should consider doing, especially with stuff like Exquisite, National Treasures, and The Cup.
