I decided that i am going to start collecting a player, and im talking like jaderock's mark brunell collection. I know it will take a long time but i am commited to it. I need suggestions of which player. I dosent have to be a cardinals even though i like them. I want it to be a current player. I also want thier cards to be not very expensive, but also a decent player. Anyone have suggestions.

It should be someone who YOU really really like. What would be the point of collecting say Derek Jeter if you thought he was a real jerk?

Think about some of the players you have heard about in the last couple of seasons and choose one of them, or choose a player from one of your "local" teams, your in Jersey so maybe a player from one of the New York teams.

You gotta like the player 1st!!! Other than that...get a "semi star" veteran....that should keep prices down and easier to obtain.

Stars and prospects will cost you a bunch!

yeah.. thats why i didnt want to "super collect" the prospects in my sig.

If you are going to 'supercollect' a player, then you will need to have one of EVERY card made out there of him.

I know there a lot of nice cards of him out there including
sp authentic by the letter
sweet spot auto
and some really nice patches
i saw them on ebay(but i dont want to buy)

Yeah, super collect, regular collect, half collect... Whatever. It should be what YOU enjoy and WHO you enjoy to collect. If that means supercollecting one player, so be it. If it means picking up whatever you can of 3 or 4 players (like I do), so be it.

The only rules are the ones you make.

ugh why would u super collect blalock lol he graduated from my HS and his dad coached at my school...also i do have a 2001 Topps RC IP Auto i got from his sister that was in my class it is FT lmk

I have a 2004 Donruss Elite Back to the Future Dual GU Bat of Alex Rodriguez (Rangers uni) and Hank Blalock 058/100.
ARod on one side with bat, Blalock on the other side with bat.

Looking for Gwynn or Gwynn Jr gu/patch/auto or will sell.

It is a card with both of them on it and both there game used. If you are super collecting, wouldn't you need this card of him?

just because a rod is on that card will probably increase that card by a lot

i was only aiming for single player cards
