I have busted a couple retail packs ($3 at WalMart) of 2010 Bowman Baseball, and I was wondering if they are any different than the hobby packs? I have watched people bust Bowman boxes online, and they seem to be set up the same as the retail packs. 2 chromes, 2 rookies, one gold card, etc. Are the odds of hitting refractors and such more difficult in retail? What's the difference?

Great pull, Craig!

Also wanted to give you props on your Web site. Nice design and fun to look through. I really liked your Hall of Fame section with each years best pulls. That is something I may do in the future in my bucket to help determine whether I had a good year busting wax or not.

This is an awesome post, Jeremy.

I agree with everything you said. This hobby costs money, so why would anyone give anything away without getting proper monetary value in return. Anyone who is attempting to trade with you on book value is doing it because it is best for them in that particular instance. Like you said, why would anyone trade a card that is selling around $50 on eBay for a card that is selling at $100?

And I don't want to hear because they love the hobby, or it's just for fun, or I really like that player, because you are only kidding yourself if you say the money doesn't matter.

I wish I could rationalize like that sometimes. Nice card, I really like the look of it. Not a bad price being #ed/ 1-of-99, either.

Let me starts by saying I think option "C" is a bad idea, and I would never do it because I am extremely picky about card condition and would never enjoy anything that had been "hand-made" like that.

With that said, one night I was drunk and was having terrible luck breaking boxes. At the end of the night, I opened the pack with my final hit, and it was a Rex Grossman all-white plain swatch #ed/250 staring back at me. I laughed, but it was more of "I'm about to lose my mind" laugh.

So I ripped the thing apart to see what really goes into making a jersey card. The jersey piece was literally about the same size as the cut out window in the card, and behind the swatch on the cardboard it said "Grossman All White". It literally confirmed the bad news one more time.

Point being - don't break boxes drunk.

I think I am going to start collecting mini-autographed helmets, and I began looking on eBay. I then realized there were a ton, from a lot of different companys, and at a wide range of prices. Does anyone know a trusted company when buying autographed memorabilia on eBay? Where you can be sure the autographs are real. Are we supposed to assume any COA is legit?

Any info wold be appreciated.
