Outline · [ Standard ] · Linear+ High End, High Dollar thread, or Forum(s)

Just a thought... Sometimes when I get on here I kinda look for nicer higher end cards. Mainly items $100 in value or over at times. Would be nice to see a sub forum attached to each of the sports trading forums specifically for the traders looking to deal in High(er) end cards or sales. Each forum would welcome different sports to trade for. An example would be if I was a football collector with some high end cards and wanted to trade for some nice high end baseball items, I could go into the High End baseball trade forum and list my football cards or items for trade in there. I mean, I'm all for making TCC a better community for all, just thought it would be nice to see something different for guys that deal high end instead of scouring pages upon pages for it.

Interesting idea, though many folks feel there are way too many sub-forums here already. Like when folks wanted a separate Marketplace area for group breaks as they were clogging up the regular Marketplace sections of the 4 major sports. And that change took almost a year to finally happen as group breaks really took off.

Maybe until then or if it don't happen, folks looking to trade for or to trade higher end put that in the sub-title of their thread. That way it would be easier to find for those people. That and maybe keep the newer folks that don't know values or the ones that think folks with a high end card will take 18 cards that add up to that value (granted a few will sometimes and only "sometimes"), but that is probably a stretch (kinda like folks making threads saying "I want all Steven Jackson" and you spend time digging and typing a list and all they want is Patches/AUs, would be nice if they put that in thread or title) (oops train jumped tracks, sorry)

But at least it would be easier to find threads like that or to make your threads easier to find for specifics like that if folks put that in the sub-title of thread. Now getting that to happen may be as difficult as getting new sub-forums here, but things never happen if you don't try, so always worth a try. See what others think of the idea, I'm usually on the fence on many things, as sometimes too many sub-forums to keep track of but I also like things kinda organized and user friendly too so I'm neither for or against such a thing so have to see what the users of this forum think (though Bob kinda has final vote on things like that no matter what everyone feels, as it is his site and his decision only on many things here).

Maybe not so much you have to totally add a new sub forum on the front page...Say if I were to click on baseball trading and once the page loads up, I see a link that would direct me towards a High end trading thread(s). It doesn't necessarily have to be on the front page TCC

Yeah a newer Higher end page would be nice. You can combine all of the 4 major spots since most people collect all higher end. I think its worth a shot.

It would also be nice because then you have a 1 for 1 card deal. Most higher end collectors like to trade straight up for higherend stuff. I know most dont like to trade down.

It'd be helpful, but most of the threads that end up being geared towards highend items are directly listed in the title. It also tends to be the same group of people as well, so I'm not sure it's really needed on here.

Could keep it at $100 value and higher...It wouldn't have to be a constant moving forum. If ya got some nicer higher stuff and want to deal within people who deal that sort of thing, you/they would go and post in there what they got.

I am not for the idea. I am one of those people Dwight has mentioned. I think we could use some consolidation on TCC. I don't think expanding now would be great. why not just put high end in the title?

Because it gets old.

Very good idea! I remember when I was dealing with some high end, it woulda been a ton easier if u could go right to the higher end cards.

I really dont have any High end, but if I did, i would post it there...

I think SPorts Card forum has a high end area?

I believe hes referring to how some people with "high-end" collections want a special place to be able to make trades with other "high-end" collectors.
