QUOTE(RGBII @ Dec 2 2015, 12:56 AM)
He (Donald Trump) represents the filth and detritus of our generation.

We (my generation) were supposed to cure the problems and ill-health of this Democracy. We have failed, miserably and completely.

God, help us!

If y'all care about the future of this country, I'll pass along this little piece of information. Know your candidates, know their platforms and beliefs and know them well. In the end, when you go into the voting booth, be true to our American ideals.

Do it well and please, do it with some knowledge.

Collect Hard!,

Here we are almost 5 years later. Although my viewpoints are different than Richard's on what those ideals look like, I always respected his side of the story. No truer words were ever written than what he wrote in this post. I'd love to hear what he has to say on the events that have transpired since his passing. But, at the same time, I think maybe his Creator bestowed upon him great mercy by taking him before the world went insane.

oh no.. richard was one extreme dude.

I think he termed Collect Hard and he epitomized that statement.

Countless hour long calls , still have his very old number written on a 2x4 stud in my basement so I would never lose it right near the vault.

Ginter was my passion but Richard went far beyond anything I was capable of, he loved the bubble gum bubble blowing character on the back of the Ginter minis.

Richard I hope you found peace and have been reunited with your father. My eternal gratefulness for being my friend.

I remember the two of you competing for those A&G mini trades.

I have so much more I want to add to this but can't right now.

So.......

Wow. I've been so busy lately that I completely missed that in my FB feed. Both glad and painfully saddened that I took the time to log in here this morning. This is a hard one and I hate the feeling of finding out like this.

I'm guessing today. I've been trying to check in every day to see if it's back, or not, and today was the first time I've noticed it. Also worth noting that Bob was online this morning, too, so that's a good indicator that it came back online this morning, in accordance with the prophecy.

He also made his first post in 10 years, in accordance with the prophecy.

If it's base and you need it, I have it. Send me your list.

Looking for SPs, parallels, and inserts.

Welcome Back! A lot of people on FB, but most are buy and/or selling. It's difficult to get trades going there due mostly to little regulation/tracking of trades. I was fairly active on FB for about 6 months and I'm just not that into it. So now I basically just buy boxes to build sets and sell what I don't want on ebay.

And yes, it's sad the forums are dying out. Mostly because people are in it for the perceived money to be made and not the hobby of collecting cards.

Can anyone guess at the value of this? The ohtani is currently at $1000 with about an hour to go. The Verlander was listed at $500, seller accepted an offer. $600-$800 for the Kershaw? I'm a little out of my element here.

Mona was the best character on Who's the Boss?

that is one cool card!

but it wont bring more than $200 im afraid

Yeah, I wouldn't expect to pay more than 80-150 for it.

But it being a card I don't want to sell, $500 would be my Mike Wolf-American Pickers crazy price to pry it out of my hands.

It never hurts to try, but I have no idea on baseball.  The other side of the coin could be that others may think you are way too overpriced and never look at your auctions again?  or you could end up the topic of a forum on a card site.  laugh.gif  You will not know unless you try.  smile.gif

Hey....all publicity is good publicity, right? If it gets people to look at my other auctions, they'll see they're fairly priced and I always offer free shipping.

Maybe I could put in the description something like:

This is a PC card. I don't really want to sell it, but if you want it, this is my price.....

Yesterday's case break of 2019 Topps was somewhat disappointing. I was hoping to stash PC and recoup the cost of the case with everything that's left. I still think I can do that, but would I be crazy if.......

I took.....what must have been the case hit which completely blows my mind because although I was psyched to get a Yadi autographed relic /25 for my PC it really isn't what I would think of as a case hit. Nonetheless, it was the only decent card in the case.

I just checked ebay to see what they're selling for.... I would estimate anywhere from 40-150......but no one has it listed yet. Would I be crazy to toss it on there with a sell price of $500? I don't really want to sell it, but if someone is crazy enough to spend that for it, I might. Was it John Wooden who said you miss 100% of the shots you don't take?

Today will mark the first time I will break a full case. 2019 Topps Series 1 Jumbo. I've heard rumors that jumbo will not feature multiple inserts this year, but haven't seen anything these are more than just rumors. Silver packs show some promise. I get 12 with the case purchase. It should be here some time in the next 4 hours. The anticipation is killing me.

I guess it's done for good. Just checked and the domain registry expired on 1/2/19. No new checklists on Zistle since 2017. I guess it's trading card database or bust. I despise Beckett.

I also enjoyed Solo more than The Last Jedi......and definitely better than Rogue One. Ben and I watched is last Sunday. We saw Infinity War on Saturday and both enjoyed Solo more than The Avengers.
