Thought this could be interesting...

Please share how much you last paid per gallon and the location.

For me, I filled up in Chester, WV tonight for $2.049 per gallon of Regular.

I last filled up last night. I was going to wait until this morning, but after hearing that the barrel price went up again, I didn't want to chance it. Earlier this week, it had been $2.15. Last night, I paid $2.019.

Oh yeah...almost forgot....this was in Columbus Ohio.

Currently $2.059 here in Columbus Ohio. It was higher earlier in the week and news reports (informing us that in some places out west the prices had soared to over 3 dollars) indicate that there isn't a relief in site.

Wow. My $0.06 increase to $2.139 doesn't look as bad now. This was today (8:55 AM) at the same station in Chester, WV.

Either I read the sign wrong this morning, or they changed it again. Either way, on the way home, it was back "down" to $2.119.

Absolutely incredible the way the price is fluctuating this week. Earlier this week it went to $2.119. Yesterday morning it went down to $2.049 and I considered stopping and filling up. I decided to wait. Big mistake. It's now at $2.259.

I'm hoping it'll come down either by the time I go home or tomorrow morning. Unlike myself, my car can't generate gas by eating a can of beans. smile.gif

Chad,

You and I apparently either drive too much or have the wrong cars. laugh.gif

I need to fill up again after work and can't make it all the way to the normal place, so I'll have a new data point. wink.gif

I guess I should point out the prices I'm quoting are the prices I'm seeing as I drive past a station down the street from me to and from work.

If I was filling up each of those times, I'd be completely broke instead of partially broke. smile.gif

$2.139 in Pittsburgh, PA on 3/31/05.

I am actually filling up each of these times, so maybe that (and the attic full of trading cards) explains why I am broke. laugh.gif

Back to my standard station in Chester, WV yesterday...

$2.219 per gallon of Regular - $0.08 increase since the 28th.

I imagine you've all been hearing the news reports about expecting the average to hit $2.35 per gallon by the start of Summer.

Today, saw it between $2.33 - $2.48 in Middletown, NY - $2.38 in the Sloatsburg service area on the Thruway. Paid $2.12 in Flohram Park, NJ this morning on the way back from Newark. Usually, whatever it is here, I can usually drive about half an hour to save twenty to thirty cents a gallon. Usually not worth it in itself (time-wise), but I try to schedule things I need to do in NJ around the times I need gas recently. :-)

$2.219 this morning at my standard Chester, WV station. Small sign of encouragement in that the price matches what I paid 5 days ago.
