This may not be the best place for this vent, so if not please move or remove. I believe it would be beneficial to move ALL hobby box breaks to another section. Everytime I come in here, I need to go through 3 pages of topics and 90% are box breaks of people asking for a group break. I may be in the minority of this rant, but if I am looking for single card purchases or trying to sell something it is like finding a needle in a haystack picking through the box and group box breaks.
Sorry for the rant.

Hopefully noone (Bob) is offended by this. I enjoy the site, but wouldn't mind this little change.

BIG THANKS

This is something that I've been told is in the works. There could be a lot of things done to make group breaks into their own forum and things that could be done to make the group break process better. I have dropped ideas to Bob_TCC but he's never gotten back to me about them. I have been told that group breaks are something they are working on though.

A solicitation for a group break stays in Marketplace becuse it IS an opportunity to purchase a spot in a break.. thereby a marketplace class

Agreed, but it really does hinder ones ability to navigate the marketplace forum quickly.

I think there should be a group break forum as well.

Or make something for the established hosts to post their breaks to give their members easy access to the threads....and let the rooks battle it out in a all out frenzy group break forum.

Thanks guys. Not trying to start trouble, but look at the 1st page it has at least 20 messages referring to box or group breaks. A totally new section would eliminate all of that and make navigating the site more user friendly.

I agree!! Although I do participate in many group breaks, it would be nice if they were seperated. It would make searching, for both single cards and breaks much easier to navigate.

I agree, there should be a box breaks forum, almost every thread here is a box break now.

What would also help clean this thread up (keeping the group breaks here), but not allowing people to post "unofficial" breaks. Meaning the posts that are like "uhhh so I'm thinking of doing a break...who would be interested?" There are a # of those looming in the Marketplace and they are constantly being bumped by the topic starter. If you are going to do a break OPEN IT UP and just do it...if no one is interested, no one is interested and leave it at that.

A "group box break" sub-forum in the marketplace might be the way to go.

That would work I think. One sub-forum for each sport. One was created for set-building, so why not for the growing category of group box breaking?

And how about something to separate the few 'established' group breaks apart from the other 20 or so that are out there, in order to make it easier from the members of the more established breaks to find the one they are part of. This already exists (via pinning the threads) for the 'monthly clubs' in the box break forum. There's a handful of hosts like me who don't have "monthly exclusive clubs" but we are just as popular as some of those...and I think it easy access to people like me should be offered. Just an idea smile.gif

I've requested a different idea for that. smile.gif
