Can anyone tell me why there are 5-10 2006 Rookies, whose RC's are consistantly valued higher than Hanley Ramirez and Justin Verlander, who were voted the best rookie in each league respectively?

I'm currently looking at '06 Ud Ovation but have seen this as a trend in all sets:

Ramirez bv 10.00
Verlander bv 12.00

Zimmerman bv 20.00
Papelbon bv 15.00
Hong-Chih Kuo bv 15.00
Liriano bv 15.00
Weaver bv 15.00
Billingsley bv 15.00
Melky Cabrera bv 15.00
Johjima bv 15.00

Does anyone else think this is strange? Can someone explain this phenomena to me?

Sean

I know people that collect Ryna Zimmerman.
Plus, this forum is a smal sample of the global hobby industry. Zimmerman was a popular rookie and his cards are worth more.
Remember the movie with Marky mark, Invincible I think it was. Where he plays the guy who tries out for the Eagles and makes the team.
That guy's real life RC, The only card ever made of him, jumped from less than a dime to $25 after that movie came out.

I am ONLY interested in Twins stuff. Any Twins, current or former. I like Autos, GU, RC, refractors, parallels, or inserts. I've even been known to trade some base lots. But they MUST be in Twins uniforms.
