Any Ideas on Boxes anyone, I picked up the extra slot so maybe we can get some newer product this month, hoping to maybe get the SPx or SP game used this time around, hard to decide!

SPx is out, as is SP Game Used. Elite and Contenders are out from Panini as well, so any of those could be options. SP Game Used though will be tough as it eats up a lot of the budget at $180 a box. Of course Elite is $120, Contenders $108, and SPx is $120, are not exactly cheap too.

Most of the 10/11 stuff we opened. There are some like SP Game Used, Ultimate Collection, Limited that we did not do, but nothing really on sale or reduced other than the usual items like Pinnacle, Zenith, Contenders. The only others we did not do are ITG Between the Pipes around $80 and ITG Heroes & Prospects at around $55-68 depending on where you get it from.

Combo looks good hopefully we can get it.
We probably should have some alternative in case the combo has ended by the time we are ready to order. Probably will have to swap out the Elite with something a bit cheaper. Contenders? Titanium maybe?

Will put together some options next week, was really looking for ideas on what products the group members really want to open for the first time, or again. As some of what we have opened has been blah! Some OK!

Yeah, you can load it right on paypal, but the fee to add cash to it is 4.99, the link should be on the load funds on paypal, just did a transaction the other day, worked great!

Does the question mark by the Bruins mean they are still or possibly available? Never done a break before but I only collect Bruins in hockey so if they are open I may be in. If not maybe I can catch the next one. I'd be interested. Thanks!

Thanks guys! I'll wait for the confirmation but hope this works out. I've been really looking forward to getting involved in a break for a long time so I'm excited. I'm the kind of guy that gets pumped about base cards so this is perfect for me as a team collector. If I get confirmation that I'm in then 'll get payment sent right out. Looking forward to doing this a bunch of times and if anyone is working a baseball break in the future I'm in if I can get the Red Sox. Thanks much!

Probably about 90% chance they available, as Brian doesn't prefer to take extra slots as he is mainly a Pens collector. This style good for team collectors, I ran an all draft one for years until last month (may start up again someday), as they easier to fill up and everyone has a shot at the "hot teams". I have been in this group break in the past, and both guys that do the breaking A+ members here so no worries (I also covered this one a couple times but that was years ago 
).

Mark there are a couple of Baseball groups going around. Check in the Baseball Section under "Baseball Group box Breaks" there is one that is a choose your team it is currently full but I'm not sure on the status of the Red Sox. Maybe you could see if there is a waiting list for the team. Some of the break hosts do keep a waiting list and try to contact people when they have a drop out.

Ok so I looked at the combos and the Certified, Limited, Elite group looks good to me. I've broke one box of Certified this year but that's it. I could even do the Upper Deck combo on DAC but that's over our budget at 310. Maybe next time.

Everyone please welcome Rob - 19th Century Indiana Jones to the group as he is joining with the New Jersey Devils.
Due to this we will have roughly an additional $20 for boxes. If we go with group A, we can probably replace the 3 blasters with a box of something if we want or just add a couple more blasters?
That would give us roughly $45 for a box (assuming Anthony is in, if not I will pick up his spots).

The options with the most hits are the BAP blasters or hobby boxes (would put us at 18 hits). Most of the other options would put us at 14-15 hits. I like the BAP as I like autos and the fact there are more hits to go around.

9/10 Champs would be nice even though it's low on hits. I also like the BAP Hobby box option with max hits and guaranteed auto.
My choice then is Champs but would be OK with BAP
I'm usually hits over RCs, and Autos over GU.
I have a feeling the BAP will win.

The BAP blasters are also guaranteed an auto per blaster. The Hobby box however guarantees you will get a dual auto.
I like Champs, but generally you get 3 gu and 1 auto per box of that, but there are some decent autos including Tiger Woods, Gretzky, Crosby, Yzerman, Howe, etc, and there are some bad ones as well of more common guys.

Boxes ordered! Got the combo while it was still available, I ended up going to for Champs and 07/08 BAP blaster as it had the most votes as of this evening. Our free gift is two goalie sets, I know we've done them before, but we will actually get a couple game used cards out of them.

If anyone wants to post in this topic boxes they are interested in for next month that would be fine. Overall, not a bad break, but could have been better.
Elite was OK the blank front redemption stank, but hopefully they will replace it with something(s) nice. Limited was so-so. Certified was probably the best of those three. So what did you like/dislike?

I didnt get any hits! Yeah, I think several people didn't, but it is more of a bummer when you have 4 teams (2 owned) and get nothing. I have been there.
Sometimes the boxes just don't work in your favor, sometimes they do like Champs did for me. It would be nice if everyone could at least get one hit for the teams they own, unfortunately it just doesn't usually happen. That is why I like to try to get groupings that have a lot of hits, so that everyone has a chance.

Yes, I think I am breaking unless someone else wants to. Break will have to happen 3rd weekend in July as will be busy 1st two weekends.

Actually would love to do a Box Break, but would have to upgrade a bit, guess what is down the street from me that I never knew was there, till I made a phone call about cards. Buying sports cards, here to find out, a ware house full of Hockey card's, cases of them, and Buy direct from the guy, half mile ftom my home, has 11-12 Crown Royal Hockey, Think he is listed on ebay as trading card central, Orchard lake rd. Mi Google it, sold him some card's at ebay price, might have second part time job working for him, hopefully get our boxes cheaper, let ya know soon

Paul, a dealer I know sells monster boxes loaded with commons (mostly hockey) to a guy in Michigan, not sure if this is the same guy, but it sounds like it might be. The guy had a warehouse, so it sounds like the same guy.

The guys name is Jeff, I told him about the box breaks we do and the site, he never heard of trading card sites, think I'm gonna talk to him and see if I can get some boxes for cheap, as in working for him, maybe I will be the guy that will sell them for us, long shot but I will ask him, I have his cell number and like I said, I can walk to the warehouse in 5 minutes

That's it Kirk, his EBay store is the same name, which he showed me all his eBay cards he has listed in One room in his Office, it was just unreal! He showed me a few wings cards that he said he couldn't get sold on eBay for $15, like a 05-06 Ultimate collection Fransen patch/AU RC he showed me, just collecting dust, he told me if I came up with $30 he would sell it to me.
Gotta talk to him soon
