I just picked up the newest issue of beckett, and found out that they have added another annoying section to it. The new section lists semi-stars and unlisted stars with a listing of what their auto's and game used cards are worth based on the stated print run of the cards. I don't like this new section because it places the same value of a serial numbered card from a lesser known or lesser traded set with the value of a higher demand set. I don't like this section at all...what do you guys think about it?

I haven't seen it yet, but based on your description, it sounds like they're getting a little carried away with trying to provide generalized pricing/guidance on cards without having to actually take the space to list them.
Exactly....it appears to me that if you have an unlisted star from Topps Pristine serial numbered to 99, and an unlisted card of the same player from a base Upper Deck set, just because it is serial numbered to 99 they should carry the same weight on price. I disagree, Topps Pristine is considered a premium product by many people, while the base Upper Deck is considered....well....base, and therefore not as collectible to some as the pristine. I think, based on that, that there should be some disparity in the pricing between "high end" and "base" sets.
