I was curious as to what folks think of multiple autographed cards. It appears to me we are seeing an abundance of multiple player autographed cards hit the market and it seems to me for the most part they actually do not sell as well as some individually signed cards.

Personally, I am not a fan of them unless they happen to pair up a couple of guys I like. But most of the time the cards seem to include one autograph of a player I am interested in and the other auto(s) I don't care squat about. I mean how many Stadium Club Co Signers cards from the 90's do we look at now and go "they matched those two guys together?" huh.gif

Your opinions please!

The majority of them I really don't like, just like you stated, some of the player mixes are horrible. I only own a few of them, but just because I like one or both of the players on them

I don't like them because of the pairings usually. If I pick them up, it's because there's a Cardinals player on the card and I usually end up trading it off or selling it because I decide that I really don't care about the other guy on the card.

Not really a fan of them, until companies start putting 2 premium players on most of them I tend to stay away,I'd much rather have a single autograph of the player I collect than a dual auto of my player that is ruined by some benchwarmer.

As a player collector I prefer single as they usually don't match up guys I collect (though they have done so with GU sometimes and those are cool). But sometimes if both decent players it is a nice pull, but unless cuts or HOF kind of thing I would imagine they typically sell for less than an AU of each player separately.

It depends on:

1) The product
2) The players

2005 Reflections is an example of a product that does it right, despite having stickers.

I only like them if they have signatures of guys from the same team. I mean, I have a Johnnie Lee Higgins dual auto with some guy from the Chiefs. Yeah, because that is what a Raiders fan wants, a Chiefs auto. dry.gif

Wow, I totally disagree... I thought many of the reflections pairings were bad. I thought 2005 Upper Deck Ultimate Signature did a great job of matching the autos....

i think they are cool when its two players on the same team of pro or college or rivals but when its two random players with stickers on a card used to use stickers and fill wasteful products like that ud signature edition from last year then it gets annoying

I am not a big fan of them when they include players from different teams, unless superstars and even then it is difficult as sometimes the groupings do not make sense.

I do like how UD did the Be A Player multiples in some years where it was two players from the same team, but even those can get old if one guy is traded, left via free agency and all you have left is a current one player card and someone you no longer collect.

Roger that!

By the same token, both are gone. One in a trade
with Jon (zimbo) and the 2nd basemen was given
away as a freebie.

Multiple autos can be very cool and I fully understand
that the manufacturers "matches" can be disturbing,
nonetheless, I like the concept.

I really don't care much for them unless the player combo works. One combo I would love to see would be a Joe Montana / Dwight Clark dual, however to my suprise no company has done that yet. Alot of the combos I have seen just get me to wonder, what the heck were they thinking?

See this card is a perfect example of a combo that doesn't work... why put gymnast Mary Lou Retton with three basketball players?
