An e-mail and PM reminder to update the status of this transaction were just sent to basketballstar21.

Posted by: bob_TCC Sep 13 2009, 10:09 PM

Darren,

Please see my previous question (located above).

Then, please confirm that you received payment for this sale.

Finally, did you mail your end of this sale? If so, please be specific about when you mailed the package. That way, we'll all have a better understanding as to when this transaction will likely be completed.

Thanks,

-Bob

Payment was sent as a gift to avoid paypal fees. The payment has been received and the cards were sent out. Thanks.

Darren,

Please refrain from making that type of payment request for future transactions. We're simply not going to condone the use of personal payments for transactions that are clearly outside the scope of the acceptable use cases listed at https://www.paypal.com/helpcenter/main.jsp;jsessionid=KlKLGHLnflQQL3j1WWjnYNhZlZjvsW6zpJs202hFqkSLCBtlfjQl!-726335105?locale=en_US&_dyncharset=UTF-8&countrycode=US&cmd=_help&serverInstance=9006&t=solutionTab&ft=searchTab&ps=solutionPanels&solutionId=11068&isSrch=Yes on PayPal's web site.

Then, again... Please be specific about when you mailed the package.

No problem, I guess I'm just one of the few on here that put it in the trade manager instead of just telling the person via PM, that's my mistake.

If a member informs me that you request that type of payment via PM, further action will be taken. Understood?

Now, this will be the last time that I request this information...

Please be specific about when you mailed the package.

So it's okay for other members to do it? Hmmm..you won't have to be concerned with me asking others for that type of payment as soon as these transactions are completed, I won't be on TCC, I'll use Sportscardforum.com for trading/buying/selling sportscards.

I didn't state that it was acceptable for other members to use deception to avoid paying the fees associated with using the service provided by PayPal. To the contrary, my statement applies to any and all members that engage in that practice.

With regards to which sites you choose to frequent, you're free to visit wherever you like. Honestly, based on the status of your pending transactions, there are likely a few Collector Zone team members that will be glad to hear that they won't need to spend their valuable time asking for you to provide basic updates on whether you received and sent your end of transactions. Along those same lines, I'll even ask one more time...

Please be specific about when you mailed the package.

If your next response doesn't provide the requested information, you'll be returning to a restricted account if/when you decide to utilize the Collector Zone in the future. wink.gif

I sent out some time last week. If you would take the time to read them rather than point the finger at me right away you would see that when someone sends $ through the mail, the usually dont do it next day delivery. Therefore the $ takes a while to get to me. Then, being an adult and not being able to play on the computer all day and play with trading cards, I have school and a job that doesnt allow me to jump right on the computer and run to the post office to mail out some sportscards the NEXT day. Therefore, I might PM the member if it's been a few days and tell them the situation. Then after you mail a package, again remind you, I don't use next day shipping so the package takes a few days to get there and if it's during the weekend or a holiday, the mail doesnt run on sundays or holidays so those days dont count as shipping days. Boone, sorry you have to read all this lol, but your cards were sent out and I'll have your cut auto sent out tomorrow bud.

Actually, my reading skills are quite strong. In fact, those skills point to the fact that this sale didn't involve the mailing of a payment. Instead, payment was sent via an electronic service - a service that results in the seller receiving the payment within seconds of the buyer sending the payment.

In the end, my exchanges with you tonight (within multiple transactions) could have been avoided if you would have simply spent a little more time providing updates on your transactions - even if those updates were provided once you returned home from school or work on a given day.

Yeah your right, I got this one mixed up with the other 4 or 5 transactions that you have been giving me a hard time about all night. I doubt you even know who I am or if someone said do you know "basketballstar21" you wouldnt even know I was a member here. Why? Because I havent had any problems on here with you or any other mods but because there's been like 4 or 5 deals lately out of all the deals I've done, I've been a little slow on sending, you wanna hassle me.

Darren,

To the contrary, I specifically requested that another member of the Collector Zone team not apply a restriction to your account earlier tonight. Why? Because I did indeed know about your overall transaction history and felt that we should give you an additional opportunity to finally provide the updates that various team members have been requesting with regards to your pending transactions.

In addition, you might recall the following PM that I sent you earlier tonight:

Darren,

Please http://www.tradingcardcentral.com/apps/transactions.php?type=pending&member=basketballstar21 and provide an update on all of your pending transactions - responding to my specific requests as needed.

Honestly, based on your overall transaction history, I would have hoped that we wouldn't need to be asking for as many updates on your transactions.  So, let's get this current set of pending transactions cleaned up and attempt to keep the updates coming in a more timely fashion as we move forward.

Thanks,

-Bob

Honestly, you'll find that the Collector Zone members (including team members) are very understanding individuals - as long as communication takes place. wink.gif

And I appreciate that and I know they are understanding individuals. Like I said I havent had any problems with any of them, I kinda fly under the radar. I might not post under every chit chat topic or carry on conversation with a lot of you, but I do take part in some and make quite a bit of deals on here. It just happened that a few of these transactions are taking a little while because of a few circumstances.

One deal with Mopar, I got the money order and the lady at the bank claimed that I should wait before I send the buyer his products that he bought because the money order might be taken out of my bank account if it comes back to the bank. I just thought it was a wise decision to wait like the bank had told me. They said it could be about 2 weeks, but I don't think I waited that long to ship it out (which I did post in the transaction).

On another deal, he to has school and doesnt get on everyday and respond to PMs all the time and wasnt able to get my his address right away because in the trade manager it said it was a money order and I got $20 cash. I said I got the payment because I didnt realize he said money order on the trade manager so I wanted to make sure that was his payment and that his payment was not in the mail.

I apologize and I'm sorry if I said anything rude. I just wanted to let you guys know that there were a few different reasons why these were taking a long time. I'm not saying it's anyone else's fault or even my fault. I was just saying that some times I don't get to the post office the next day or 2 after I get the payment and I mail out quite a bit of packages so sometimes I'm not sure which ones I send out or when I send them out. Thanks.

Darren,

Fair enough. wink.gif

Honestly, I'm really not trying to be difficult. As you can imagine, there are many other ways I would have preferred to spend my time tonight. laugh.gif

Again, communication is key - especially when your transaction partner or a Collector Zone team member requests an update. A few minutes to provide an updated status really helps to keep things moving smoothly.

Have a good night!
