Lots of TTMs!! COngratS!
Thanks. This was just a list of what I got back so far. I sent out lots of cards and some teams seem better at signing than others. The Rangers don't seem to give the players any mail I send, but I have had a perfect 3-3 with Calgary.
Some of the funnier things were the Chris Chellios card I got back. I sent him a cheap '06 Parkhurst card and he sent back someone elses card. It was autopened on an Opee Chee Rookie. What a waste.
I sent an UD jersey card to Brad Winchester and got back 2 cards. Mine and another jeresy card an Ultimate Debut Threads #029/250, both autographed.
Two new ones today.
Ed Johnston 1962-78 c/o Pittsburgh Penguins
Dale Tallon 1970-80 c/o Chicago Blackhawks
Nice list.
Thanks Brian.
I got another one today....
PHILADELPHIA FLYERS
Robert Esche 11/16/06 - 02/23/07
I had a good day Saturday. I got back 4 cards....
Randy Moller (ex-Ranger now the FL. Pathers color guy) c/o the Panthers
Don Maloney (ex-Rangers) c/o the NY Rangers
Peter Bondra (on a jersey card) c/o the Philadephia Flyers
Bobby Clarke (HOF_retired Flyer) c/o the Philadelphia Flyers.
These all took less than a month to get back!
I can try and post photos of them if you like. Just let me know....
I know some are going to think I am crazy for sending out jersey cards, but I have had great luck so far. 7 for 9 returned with Nik Antropov being the only hold out and Kyle Calder sending me back the wrong card signed. So far I have gotten these jersy cards signed....
Ryan Miller
Pavel Datsyuk
Marion Garborik
M. Garon
Peter Bondra
Brad Winchester (sent back 2 signed jersey cards even though I only sent one)
Ville Nieminen
did you send all of those on the same day?
If you mean the ones on post #7, no. I sent them all in the same week tho.
Today I got...
Tuomo Ruuto c/o Chicago Blackhawks. 10/11/06 - 02/27/07
If you are looking for Chris Chelios, don't send to the Red Wings. You'll usually get a stamped signature. You are better off to send to his restaurant:
Cheli's Chili
21918 Michigan Avenue
Dearborn, MI 48124
I got mine back signed in about 2 months
Thanks for the Chelios info. I iwll give that a try. I also saw you had success with Joey Mullen c/o the Phantoms. Good to know, I just sent him a card last week. I will keep my fingers crossed,
My only success today was......
Jim Slater c/o the Atlanta Thrasher.
Reed Larson (explayer 80s-90s) signed a card for me in under 2 weeks.
14334 Fairview Dr
Eden Prairie, MN
55344
That brings my hockey total to 90 returns so far this season. Sept-March
Hey Jason, would you have an address for Brian McFarlane HHOF broadcaster that you can please share?
Oh, and I've been meaning to ask. Have you had any success getting Doug Wilson either thru the SHarks or elsewhere?
Thanks anyway for the MacFarlane. I may have to try through the HHOF.
Congrats on the returns. Duff is awesome TTM and in person. Hope he's not expecting a birthday gift.
I'd be interested in the WIlson. I'll PM you.
Thanks anyway for the MacFarlane. I may have to try through the HHOF.
Congrats on the returns. Duff is awesome TTM and in person. Hope he's not expecting a birthday gift.
I'd be interested in the WIlson. I'll PM you.
Here is a photo of the Duff one. He is a nice guy.

Three more today.
Ted Lindsey NHL HOF on a parkie repro plus he sent a cool signed flyer with his biography on it.
Bob Suave ex-buffalo goalie c/o his business address in Canada
Phil Housley signed a rookie card c/o his home address.
All of these took less than 3 weeks.
Great day today. I got 4 back and all are Hall of Famers! I think they all took less than a month too.
Paul Coffey c/o his Toyota dealership
Milt Schmidt c/o home
Harry Howell c/o home
Norm Ullmann c/o home
Looking good! Congrats on the great successes so far!
I got back 2 signed Vincent Damphousse SJ Sharks cards today sent c/o his home address.
I also got back a signed card from ex-SF Giants (and other teams) pitcher Mike Krukow. It took about 8 months to get back and was signed with a ball point pen. He is the best radio/tv color guy in baseball! Soooo funny
I also got the sweet signed Henri Richard card from Greg. Smooth deal.
On a side note, I bought 5 unopened packs of 81-82 Topps hockey cards off eBay. I ripped those bad boys open ASAP and pulled some nice cards. Gretzky, Gretzky scoring leader card, Jarri Kuri RC, Bill Barber, Bernie Federko, and lots of other HOF'ers. I am sending out about 20 cards in total with autograph requests using star-collectors list. Lets see how many come back....
Try Barber c/o the Lightning. I've had success there.
Thanks. I have sent of a card to him c/ the Lightning.
I got NHL HOF'er Joey Mullen today after a short 2 week wait. c/o the Philadelphia Phantoms.
Guy Lafleur c/o home address. 3 weeks
HOF'er Elmer Lach 3 weeks c/o home address. Signed my card and sent 3 other Molsen Beer cards signed too!
Steve Larmer c/o home address in about 2 weeks.
Here is the great thing about hockey; even Hall of Fame players take time to sign cards for fans and they almost never charge money.
Tell me about it! I started out with hockey, so have been a little spoiled. I was a little dismayed when I tried to branch out to other sports and found out the number of HOFers from other sports that charge money for TTM autos!
I also lucked out once with Elmer. He signed my cards, sent a couple of Molson cards and also included two signed passes to visit the HHOF as his guest! Class act all the way!
Don Marshall signed a Parkhurst reprint for me c/o his home address in about a month. Not a hall of famer, but played with a lot of them in the early 50's. Hell of a player and a nice signer too.
I also got a signed photo from actress Doris Day. She starred in classic films like Pillow Talk. She was a favorite of my Grandmother. Snt her an email request via her web site.
3 in the mail yesterday. Just when i thought I hit the wall for getting back any active players I get back one active player..
Shane Morrison c/o the Washington Capitals sent 01/05/07 - Rec 03/22/07
John Ferguson 11/?/06 - 3/22/07 c/o SJ Sharks. Postmarked St Petersburg FL.
Brad McCrimmon c/o Atl Thashers 11/?/06 - 3/22/07
I wish I had a scanner and time to post pictures, but I don't. If anyone wants to see a certain autograph I listed - let me know and I will try and post a photo.
3 more in the mail today. Regretfully one was a RTS.
Tom Lysiak sent c/o home RTS.
Perry Turnbull signed a card c/o home address 3/1/7 - 3/23/7
Joe Reekie signed 2 cards c/o home address 3/9/7 - 3/23/7
I sent out over 30 requests for retired players at the start of this month, they are starting to roll in.
Two today. Both Hall of Famers in about a month (I lost my data sheet of time sent)
Dave Keon c/o home address signed in ball point a Heroes and Prospects card
Mike Gartner c/o NHLPA in blue sharpie. Looks sweet!
Three more in the mail today. All mailed out on 3/9/07 all received 3/26/07
Mike Murphy c/o home address
Bill Barber HOF'er c/o Tampa Bay Lightning signed 2 cards for me.
Dale Hunter c/o his business
I was impressed with the speed that these came back. 2 from Canada and one from Florida in 17 days!
Good stuff! Keep 'em coming!
You guys may have noticed that I have not posted players contact info. I have used the addresses found here and at Star-Collector.net. No big reason why I don't other than I am lazy.
If there is a player who I got an autograph from and you can't find the address, let me know and I will try and help.
Garth Butcher personalized a card c/o home address 3/9/07 - 3/27/07 (gotta love that name)
Tom Johnson HOFer c/o home address 2 months.
Alot of these cards ,like Garth Butchers, are from the '91 Score set. These cards take an autograph well, are cheap as dirt, and have lots of star players from that decade.
Just one today, but it is a good one!
Alex Delvecchio signed a parkhurst insert card in 2 weeks.
This was at first a RTS because I sent it to his old home address. I resent it c/o Delvecchio Enterpises and got it signed.
Nice! Alex has great looking signature too!
BTW, stamps are on the way!
Two hockey card in the mail today.
Bill Brber c/o home 3/9/07 - 3/29/07

Gerry James signed a parkie repro c/o home 3/28/07 - 04/20/07
I wrote in my letter that I was a Leafs fan (since he played for them) but it was hard to be a fan living in California. He wrote me a note saying it was hard for him to be a Leafs fan and he lives in Canada! Funny stuff!
BIG thanks to Darthgoo for the addresses.
Alexei Yashin c/o home address signed my '92/93 UD Russian Stars card in one week!
Mario Tremblay c/o Minn Wild. I can't remember when I sent this one out, but I know it was sometime this year, so ....4 months? Maybe less.
Ilya Bryzgalov c/o The Ducks 9/11/6 - 4/28/7 signed my Parkhurst card and sent two extra cards signed too! 3 for 1, nice.
Barry Cullen c/o his car dealership. 2 months
Kind of a dry spell for hockey, so these two were a nice surprise.
Dennis Wideman c/o The Blues 09/11/06 - 05/05/07
Eric Lindros c/o home address signed 2/2 '91/92 Canada Cup card #9
sent about a month ago.
Jay Bouwmeester c/o Florida Panthers signed 2/2 sent 12/27/06 - 05/12/07. Nice tight signature for such a long name. Looks like he picked out the best "open" area on the card to sign too. Didn't just scrawl it anywhere but made sure it was visable. Gotta love that!
you are very welcome for the addresses

Thanks. I found that many of the older players are very good about signing thru the mail.
Now that the NHL season is officially over, I would out the current players who did NOT sign for me. Some will not come as a surprise, but over all I think the list of success on this thread shows that hockey players are good guys and good signers.

Please keep in mind that this is just my list. They may have signed for others and just didn't like my letter, never got the letter, or whatever. I know some of the guys like Crosby, Thornton, and Ovechkin get loads of mail, so I wasn't expecting to get anything back. I also understand that some of the guys listed were traded during the season, but I just postd the players under the teams they played for when I sent the letters.

HOF'er Murray Costello signed a Missing Link card c/o home address -14 days.
Also sent back my letter with a note written on it saying, "Thanks for the note Jason. All the best, Murray"
If you have time, look thru this thread, Gregs, or any other here, and see how many Hall of Fame guys have signed TTM for free. Hockey is a great sport and these guys are the most appreciative of the fans compared to any other sport.
Three cards back today.
HOF'er Henri Richard signed my missing link card and sent a signed 3x6 photo and signed Molson Export beer card c/o home address in 8 days!
HoF'er Jean Beliveau signed all 5 of my missing links cards and personalized one for me too. I told him I only would like to have one back and that he could keep the others if he likes, but I guess he is such a nice guy - he signed them all and even responded to my question...
Who was your favorite player growing up, "My brother Maurice Richard"

If you hockey fans have not heard the bad news; ex-tough guy John Ferguson passed away.
Mr. Ferguson was kind enough to sign a card for me ttm earlier this year c/o the SJ Sharks ,where he worked in the front office, and was a key man in the teams growth. He will be missed.
I didn't hear about that yet. He sounds like he was a great man...Make sure you cherish that card, as it probably has a special spot in your collection now. Never really followed his career, but I am sure he was a great player and an even better person.
From Legends of Hockey:
Bruising left-winger John Ferguson earned quite a reputation in an NHL career that spanned just eight seasons. From the moment he suited up for the Montreal Canadiens Ferguson vowed to be "the meanest, rottenest, most miserable cuss ever to play in the NHL." The Canadiens had recruited the fierce forward because they felt the team lacked toughness, and John Ferguson delivered in spades.
Though he played a solid physical game and was more then willing to drop his gloves and engage in the pugilistic side of the game, there was a lot more to Ferguson then just brawn. He scored 15 or more goals in four of his first five seasons then turned many heads by firing home 29 goals during the 1968-69 season. His personal success was over-shadowed by the team's success. Before Ferguson had been brough a board the three years had passed since the Canadiens ended their five-in-a-row Stanley Cup run that closed out the 1950's without the team winning again. With Ferguson providing the missing ingredient of toughness the team returned to glory and captured five Cups during his eight year career with them, including on in 1971, when he played his last game.
When Ferguson retired he stayed involved with the game and added another impressive accomplishment to his list when he accepted the post of assistant coach with Team Canada for the 1972 Summit Series. Ferguson aided Harry Sinden behind the bench for what many regard as the greatest hockey series ever. From there he moved to the New York Rangers front office and served as the team's General Manager for two years. He then took the same job with the World Hockey Assocation's Winnipeg Jets and helped guide them to an Avco Cup Championship. When the Jets joined the NHL in 1979, Ferguson stayed on and served as the team's GM for the next ten years. Since leaving the Jets Ferguson has been a part of the Ottawa Senators front office and served as a scout for the San Jose Sharks as well.
Hockey great Tod Sloan signed a parkhurst missing link cards for me c/o home address. Took about 2 weeks
I got back a card today that I forgot I even sent out.
Keith Brown, who played for 14 seasons as a Blackhawk and 2 as a Panther, signed c/o home address (i think) and I can't find when I sent it, but it was a long time ago. He did add the extra postage for it too.
Two more Parkhurst missing link cards back today.....
Noel Price signed my card and added a signed Molsen card. c/o home address in 12 days. He also sent along an nice note with an answer to my question of what is his favorite team to watch play....
"Dear Jason,
It is always a pleasure for a 70+ senior citizen to autograph his rookie card.
When Pat Quinn was coaching I cheered for Toronto and now that he is not I am an Ottowa Senator fan
The very best of everything to you always,
Sincerely,
Noel Price"
How cool is that?!!
HoF'er Bert Olmstead signed my card c/o home address in 16 days. Also answered my question of who his favorite player was growing up, "Charlie Conacher"

Martin Havlat c/o Chicago Blackhawks around 9 months. It had the old .39 cent stamp (no postage due!) and was a real shock to open.
Great to see some hockey successes in the summer!
Here is one that took some time, but for a good reason....
Rich Sutter signed c/o home address 03/20/07 - 08/04/07
I sent him 2 Score '91 cards #268. "NHL Brothers" On the front is a picture of Rich, Brian, & Ron Sutter. I told him he could keep one if he liked. He did keep one, but he sent one back with ALL 3 of thier autographs on it! AND added an extra Pinnacle card of his signed too!
How cool is that? He must have kept my card around for sometime to get all his brothers to sign it for me. I didn't even ask for him to go out of his way for something like that.
Just another reason hckey is the best!
Awesome! You can always count on the Sutters!
Just got a Patrick Roy TTM autographed 8X10 with a thank you note.
Thanks guys. It was pretty neat to see that card with all 3 Sutters autographs on it. I wish I had a scanner to share it with everyone.
Today brought in 2 more hockey players. All were returned with .39 cent stamps - no postage due.
Kevin Hatcher signed 2/2 c/o his business in 5 months
Chris Campoli signed an UD Rookie Class card c/o New York Islanders in 11 months
Pierre Pilote signed his Parkhurst Missing Link card c/o NHL Hall of Fame in 41 days. Also answered my question asking who his favorite player was growing up. "Doug Henry"
I read on star-collector.net that he charges $18 for an autograph, but I figured - why not it and not send any money to see if that is true or not. Worse case is I never get my card back, which is a chance you always take ttm. He signed it for free and seemed to be very gracious about it too.
Awesomely amazing Sutter story. That just plain rules.
I just sent the letter to him c/o the HOF and included a SASE but no money. Maybe they took pity on a poor hickey fan from America.
Al MacInnis signed a '91 Score Season Leader card for me c/o The Blues in 9 months.
Grant Stevenson signed a Parkhurst card in about 10 months. 10/30/06 - 08/21/07
Here is the interesting thing. I sent it to him c/o the San Jose Sharks with an old .39 cent stamp. Later in the year he was traded to Calgary. The envelope was postmarked from Calgary and he added the .92 cents worth of Canadian postage in order for me to get the card back. That was really nice of him!
HoF'er Marcel Pronovost signed my Parkhurst Missing Link card c/o of home address. 07/05/07 - 08/23/07.
Gus "Old Hardrock" Mortson signed my Parkhurst Missing Link card c/o home address. 07/05/07 - 08/24/07
Cam Ward signed my Victory card c/o Carolina Hurricanes. 10/11/06 - 08/25/007. I was amazed to see that one in the mail box. Also arrived on a .39 cent stamp - no postage due.
Two failures today.
I got a nice form letter and pre-printed photocard from Sydney Crosby and the Penguins. Not surprising considering the amount of mail this kid must get, but I figured it was worth a try. They did return my card too.
Alexander Ovechkin c/o of Newport Sport Management was a return to sender -unclaimed mail. So I will put that on the bad address list.
Jason Spezza signed my UD card c/o the Ottowa Senators in 355 days. Was delivered with the old .89 cent Canadian postage too.
Brian Rolston signed c/o the Minn Wild in 9 months.
I wonder if this will be the last card I get from the 06/07 season before the new 07/08 season begins?
I got my second card back from Brian Rolston today. This time he signed an UD Power Play game used jersey card. Seems like he sets aside time once a year to do a mass mail signing.
I got some sweet returns today!!
Mark Smith signed my Parkhurst card c/o the San Jose Sharks. 368 days.
Joe Pavelski signed 2/2 ITG cards c/o the Sharks in 18 days.
Whooo-hoooo!!!
Dave Capuano signed 2/2 '91 Score cards c/o home. Took about 6 months.
145 Capuano Avenue
Cranston, RI 02920-8200
Maxim Afinogenov signed c/o the Buffalo Sabres in 374 days.
Yeah, I saw that in other threads people were starting to get his back in the mail. It was fun watching the posts and seeing his autographs show up starting in the east coast and get closer to California every day.
On a side note; he added a .02 cent stamp too, since I sent it well before the postage went up.
Cristobal Huet signed c/o the Montreal Canadians in 18 days.
So what do you think; should I start a new thread for any cards I get back during the 07/08 season, or just keep on using this one?
Sounds logical to me Dan.
Saturday brought in...
Christobel Huet signed a Fleer card c/o the Montreal Canadians in 8 months.
Today brought,
rookie Danny Bois c/o the Detroit Redwings 1/1 Victory card. 21 days
Steve Rucchin signed a Fleer Ultra Gold card (looks sooooo cool!) c/o the Atlanta Thrashers. took 10.5 Months
and while not NHL, I did get Tampa Bay Buccaners Joey Galloway to sign a Donruss Classics card c/o Tampa Bay Bucs. took 6 weeks. I didn't think a new thread was needed.
Yan Stastney signed and personalized a Fleer Rookie card c/o The Boston Bruins sent 12/06/06 - 10/02/07. So almost 11 months and he even took his mail with him when he was traded to the Blues.
Daymond Langkow signed my Fleer card c/o the Calgary Flames in 33 days.
Hof'er Rod Langway signed a '91 Score card c/o home in 8 months. Was also delivered on a .39 cent stamp too.
Wayne Babych signed 2/2 c/o home address. Took almost 8 months I think.

I was so happy when the mail came today! I was taking out the recycling when the mailman drove up and handed me a large manilla envelope. This is good because he didn't have to fold it to get it in our mailbox. Inside was an autographed 8x10 photo from my favorite Shark D player -Matt Carle!
He also wrote me a nice note in reply to my question of who his favorite player was growing up. "Thanks for your support bud, my favorite players growing up were Brian Leetch and still, Nicklas Lidstrom."
Matt Carle signed a 8x10 photo c/o the San Jose Sharks sent 08/27/07 - rec 10/15/07
Congrats! Carle has been great in both attempts with him.
Thanks. He is a nice guy.
Got a RTS today from Jason Blake c/o Toronto Maple Leafs. I sent it out well before he announced his illness, but I am confused as to why the RTS. Anyone else have him do this?
I have a request out to Jason Blake. Hopefully, I see no RTS.
I Also Got One Out For Him at Start of Year
I Let You Know
mike
My family was on vacation and got back today. I had a few autos waiting so as far as return date I will just use today.
Marcel Goc signed a 8x10 photo c/o the San Jose Sharks in 55 days.
Jim Fahey signed my UD card c/o the Chicago Blackhawks in 40 days.
Has anyone had any luck getting Doug Weight to sign ttm?
Thansk for the address. I might givr it a try. I have a GU card of his that would look swell signed, but I don't know if I want to risk it.
I did finally get a return today.
Markus Naslund signed my Fleer card c/o the Vancouver Canucks in 54 days.
Great to see so many successes for you Jason!
Thanks Greg.
Today bought in an envelope from the Flames. I sent a request to Jerome Iginla and my card was returned unsigned but with a 4"x8" (?) photocard with his signature in silver marker. They returned my card on top of his photo so the signature got little messed up from my card rubbing it, but it still looks good. Took 67 days.
Thanks.
I got another RTS from the Toronto Maple Leafs today. I tried Raycroft there and it was RTS. I think I know why, the address I used from the list on this site is not working. I am going to try the Bay St. address and not the Carlton St one (as listed on the "Team Addresses" link) and see if that works.
This is the addy I have for the Leafs...
Toronto Maple Leafs - Air Canada Center - 40 Bay Street, Ste 300 - Toronto, Ontario M5J 2X2
Thats the one am going to try.
One card back today.
Steve Bernier signed my 06/07 OPeeChee card c/o the San Jose Sharks. sent 08/28/07 - rec 11/09/07
Tony Granato signed his Topps rookie card c/o home address in almost 1 year.
I need to start sending more to the Sharks as I am a big fan and Roenick scored 500 of a verry akward bounce th coyotes golie hit it in it was so funny and awesome.
The Sharks players are really good about signing ttm
with the exception of the "big name" guys like Thornton and Nabokov.
Yeah, the Roenick goal was bizarre. We just cracked up when it happened. The look on Gretzkys face was classic. My wife asked me if the Phoenix goalie gets an assist on it.
Do Ceech and Marleau sign or mihalek
Cheechoo and Mihalek both signed but Cheechoo took a long time to get back. The only guys who have not signed for me ttm from the Sharks last year were Marleau, Thornton, Nabokov, and Hannan (now with Colorado) and I sent to everyone on the team too.
ok
Two nice returns today...
Bronco Horvath signed my Parkhurst Missing Link card c/o home address sent 06/05/07 -returned 11/19/07
Marco Sturm signed my UD card c/o the Bruins in 13 months and 6 days. Was returned on .39 cent postage too with no money due.
Bronco Horvath has got to be one of the coolest names ever. Congrats!
Yesterday brought Trevor Linden 2/2 (including his Topps Rookie card) c/o the Vancouver Canucks in 31 days.
I was starting to wonder if I hit the wall in returns when I finally got one back.
Tobias Stephan signed his Victory Rookie card c/o the Dallas Stars in 2 months and 2 days. Was post marked from Iowa, so it was forwarded to the Stars farm team.
I don't think this young man is going to take Turco or Smiths place any time soon, but still was fun to get. And who know? Maybe he will be a break out player.
Today brought a nice treat.
Triston Grant signed his O-Pee-Chee Marquee Rookie card c/o the Philadelphia Flyers in 38 days. This kid is a bruiser.
Thanks.
I have only sent to a few Washington Capital players in the past, but I wanted to see if I could get Mike Green to sign his 07-08 UD card because it would look so cool signed. It has him putting the brakes on and a shower of ice flying in front of him giving a nice white background for an autograph. No luck. RTS. Why?
"Please note that the Washington Capitals do not accept items sent by mail to be autographed and are not responsible for anything sent to our offices or to the players."
This is hidden on the Caps website in the FAQ section. So now I have another reason to dislike that team. Boooo!!!!
Two in the mail today.
Mike Eruzione, 1980 USA Hockey Captain and Gold Medal winner, signed a nice 5x7 color photo with a gold pen. Sent c/o email request 2 weeks.
Rudy Migay signed a Parkhurst Missing Link card sent c/o home sent 11/15/07 - 12/07-07. Also replied to my qustion that his favorite player growing up was '"Ted Kennedy".
In 418 regular season NHL games, Migay scored 59 goals and 151 points
Wow, nice long read thru this thread, what a list of names!!
Those parkie reprint successes are giving me ideas...
Couple questions for you:
Do you send all with SASE's? If so, how do you handle those to Canada?
Do you send a standard type letter with some personal mods to each player as a type of auto request?
Not a question but - don't give up on some of those guys, I've had TTM that took 18 months to come back. (Sakic)
I want to see a picture when you've got that wall filled.
Andrej Meszaros signed and returned his Parkhurst rookie card c/o the Ottowa Senators in 18 days.
I don't have a scanner, but I will try and post a photo some time soon.
Matt Ellis signed his Victory Rookie card c/o the Detroit Red Wings. Sent 09/14/07 - rec 12/17/07
Boy There Coming In For You Now
Congrats On the Autos
mike
Cheers!
I got another one in today.
Marc-Edouard Vlasic, or "Pickles" as his team calls him, signed my UD Rookie Class card c/o the San Jose Sharks sent 08/27/07 - rec 12/19/07
He also replied to my question. I asked who was his favorite player growing up. He wrote, "Pavel Bure"
Vlasic is second in the league for defensemen for minutes played. Not bad for a second year 20 year old player.
Very nice success, Jason! I especially liked his response to his favorite player.
As a youngster, I use to like Pavel Bure too, until my sister said, "Ohh, he's cute. tee-hee." Yuk, I couldn't root for him after that.
Today brought another good card.
Jannik Hansen signed his 07/08 UD Young Guns card c/o the Canucks. I forgot to write down when I sent it, but I think it took about a month.
Thanks. I might give that a try. I am not a big Caps fan, so we'll see.
Todays mail didn't bring the cigars I ordered, but it did have an autograph.
Rick Middleton signed my 85 O-Pee-Chee card with the inscription, "Jason, Good Luck. Rick Middleton" sent 03/08/07 - rec. 12/21/07
Rick Middleton

Hampton, NH 03843-1161
Hey,
New to the forum and hockey ttm in general. I just started this year and I've gotten successes from Chris Kelly, Chris Phillips and Patrick Eaves.
I Yesterday brought Valeri Kamensky c/o home address. I sent three cards and saaid he could keep any he liked. He signed all three (my favorite being the 1991 OPC Central Red Army card) in about a week.
I also got a card signed by HOF referee Frank Udvari from a kind member here who sent me some cards out of the blue. Cheers!
Here is one that took some time. 15 months in fact
Marc-Andre Fleury signed my Fleer Ultra card c/o the Pittsburgh Penguins. Sent Oct 25th 2006 - rec Jan 14th 2008.
Here is another card that showed up I thought was lost.
Teemu Selanne signed my 91/92 UD Canada Cup card. Sent c/o the Ducks almost two years ago. In fact it was delivered with a .37 cent stamp (no postage due)
Duncan Milroy signed my Fleer Ultra Rookie card c/o the Montreal Canadians. sent 11/10/07 - rec 01/18/08
The Coyotes must have had a bulk mailing since I got back two from them on the same day.
Shane Doansigned my 07-08 UD card c/o the Phoenix Coyotes in 4 months
Zbynek Michalek signed my 07=08 UD card c/o the Coyotes in 4 months.
On a funny side note, I once got a chance to ask Milan Michalek ,of the San Jose Sharks, if he ever got checked really hard by his brother Zbynek when their two teams play against each other. he laughed and said, "No. My brother knows better than to try that. Our mom would kill him."
Jeff Carter signed my Fleer card c/o the Philadelphia Flyers sent 09/19/07 rec 01/28/08
Got a sort of RTS with rookie Stefan Liv c/o the Red Wings. I got my card back unsigned and the letter I sent had a note written on it by an unknown author saying, "Send this to his new team. Hope everything works out!"
sent 9/20/07 rec 01/28/08.
I was starting to think I was done getting back signed cards for the saeson when, *BAM* 4 cards came in today!
Michael Pecca signed my '04-05 UD sp authentic card c/o the Blue Jackets in 5 months and 5 days. Looks sooo good too. Signed in blue ink, wish I had a scanner.
Marc-Antoint Pouliot signed and personalized my 07 fleer card c/o the Oilers in 5 months and 4 days
Tom Gilbert signed my 07 Victory card sent c/o the Oilers in 4 months and 21 days
And last (drum roll please......)
Scott Niedermayer signed my 90/91 UD World Junior Champions card sent c/o the Ducks in 2 years and 5 months. It was delivered with a .37 cent stamp too, no postage due.
Wow, a success from Peca! Congrats...
Holy, a Neidermayer, congrats! I have one pending to his agent, we'll see how that one goes!
Thanks guys.
Guillaume Latendresse signed my 07/08 UD card c/o the Montreal Canadians. Sent 11/27/07 - rec 02/22/08
Henrik Zetterberg signed my Parkhurst card c/o the Detroit Red Wings sent 10/16/06 - rec 02/26/08. 1 year, 4 months, and 10 days.
Totally worth the wait.
Here is one I never thought I would see.....
Dominik Hasek signed my '91 UD card c/o the Detroit Red Wings. Sent out 09/20/06 - rec 03/08/08.
Congrats on the Hasek!
alot of great autographs!
Sort of a failure today.
Mike Richards of the Flyer returned my card in almost 18 months unsigned and sent along a pre-printed photo of his. Nice picture on it, but the "autograph" kind of ruins it. I think it would look cooler (and I might have actually hung it up) with out the really bad looking signature.
Congrats on the Hasek! That's a nice one! Maybe there still is hope on the one I sent out in November of 2006.
Today brought a "real" autograph from a Philadelphia Flyer.
Ryan Potulny signed his Victory rookie card c/o the Flyers in about 6 months. We just bought a house so my data book with dates sent and such is packed up for now.
Another Flyer today.
Goalie Martin Houle signed his O-Pee-Chee marquee rookie card c/o the Philidelphia Flyers in 6 months. Interesting to see it post marked from nEW jERSEY.
I think the Flyers' practice facility is in New Jersey.
Good to see some successes from the Flyers.
I was wonderng if I was ever going to get another card back after we moved to our new house.
Brendan Morrison signed my Fleer Ultra Gold Medalion card c/o the Canucks. I can't find my data sheet, but it took around 5 months.
Congrats on Morrison!
Got some bad news in the mail today...
HoF'er Ted "Teeder" Kennedy returned my card unsigned, but with a letter from his assistant stating that Mr. Kennedy enjoys getting and reading fan mail, but his health prevents him from signing autographs.
I don't know if I should post this in the RTS thread. I probably will.
I got back my Rookie Class card of Antero Nittymaki unsigned and with an 8"x5" pre-signed photo of him. Took almost two years...The Flyers were also nice enough to return my sase with the .39 cent stamp on it too.
After a long time with no returns, I was happy to get one back yesterday....
Fernando Pisani signed 1/1 c/o the Oilers in 1 year 7 months. Also sent a typed note saying,
" I apologize for the delay in returning your cards and/or photos to you. After my recent illness, I have received my letters from people offering their encouragement and support as well as requesting autographs. It has taken me much longer than usual to open and respond to so many letters. Thank you for your understanding! Fernando Pisani"
I sent it to him in November of 2006 and was sad to see him miss so many games the next season becuase of his illness (and man, what a rotten thing to have. Ulcers in your intestines and colon-yikes!). I was surprised to actually get a responce back and that he apologized for the delay. Seems like he is a nice guy and cares about his fans. I am not an Oilers fan, but I like this guy!
Cool return from Fernando Pisani
Thanks guys.
This is not a hockey autograph and since I don't send out to many football players, I thought I would list it here...
Pro Bowler and record breaker Todd Christensen signed my 1986 Topps card c/o home address in one week. Also wrote on it "ecc 9:11" that reads...
'I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race [is] not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.'

As I may have mentioned, we bought a house and moved into it a few months ago. Our old house is being rented by a family my wife knows. They talked to her recently and said, "We have a bunch of envelopes for Jason. They are all from him but post marked from all over the place."
I should be getting them this weekend when they stop by to visit. I sure hope there is a bunch of autographs for me to update this thread with.
Ok, so I finally got those cards that were delivered to our old house. I can't post the time it took since I have no idea when they arrived back.
Shawn Horcoff signed a 06-07 Fleer card c/o the Oilers
Steve Yzerman signed a 92-93 UD card c/o the Red Wings (this was a real old request-came back on a .39 cent stampt too)
Jarret Stoll signed 3 Fleer cards (one regular, one ultra, and one ultra gold) c/o the Oilers.
It doesn't look stamped, but it could be auto penned. I will try and post a photo this week.
Here is the Yzerman I got.
It doesnt look like a autopen to me. Compares well to one I got from him about 4 years ago. Looks real to me, cool success Jason.
Wow, congrats on that one! The auto looks legit as it has character in it; pressure points & variations. Get out and buy a lottery ticket...
LOL, I should buy a lottery ticket Whalerfan, but I fear I may have used up all my luck getting back Yzerman.
It's a bit hard to tell. It looks like it can be the real deal. It is different from the autopen I got from him earlier in the year. They one thing that concerns me is the shakiness on the "S" in "Steve." Could be mechanical. Maybe not. Unless a new autopen example pops up that is identical to this, I would have to say it's real. Congrats, Jason!
Eric Staal c/o his parents house 2/2 in 7 months time.
Torre Mitchell signed a Victory rookie card c/o the San Jose Sharks.
28 days.
Bum deal that happened to him. He broke his fib and tib leg bones during a practice skate. Out for 8 weeks at least. He and Mike Grier are a penalty killing machine for the Sharks when paired together. Big loss for my favorite team.
Ouch! Sorry to hear about his injury, but that's a nice success, Jason!
Big returns today. All of these were from last season or more and they all made it on short postage too.
It looks like Joe Thornton had some free time to catch up on his stack of mail! I finally got my cards back from him signed!
Joe Thonton signed 3/3 (2/2 from last year and 1/1 from 2006) c/o the San Jose Sharks. They took 1 year for the 2/2 (signed in blue ink) and 2 years for the 1/1 (signed in black ink). Totally worth the wait. Interesting to note that they weresigned in different ink, but I got them on the same day. He must have just sat down and just signed until pens ran dry and then did one big send out.
I also got Antoine Vermette c/o the Ottowa Senators signed 1/1 in 11 months
Justin Williams c/o the Carolina Hurricanes signed 1/1 in 23 months
I also sent email requests to all the teams for a fan pack. So far I got one from the Sabres that had a Ryan Miller magnet, schedule, sticker, and temp tattoo.
And one from the Predators that had two pocket schedules.
Nice TTMs that is cool.
Always nice to see a Thornton success! Also glad to see the Predators are sending out Fan Packs again. I guess the days of them sending out free pucks is long gone.
Yeah, bummer about the free pucks not being offered anymore. Speaking of fan packs, I got two today.
The Wild sent me a BIG magnet schedule that you can remove the cnter panel of (that is the actual schedule) and then you have a magnetic picture frame for your fridge. Pretty neat.
The Bruins sent a pocket schedule and a nice looking bumper sticker. The bumper sticker is actually nice enough to make me consider putting it on our car even tho I am not a die hard Bruins fan.
I got a Bruins one back in August.. I'm not sure if it contained anything else cause Canada Post wrecked the package.. but it did have a nice Boston Bruins T-shirt which was pretty cool.
You got a shirt? Dadgum, cool!
Today brought a nice surprise. Two cards signed by players from my favorite team.
Marc-Edouard Vlassic signed a Hot Materials jersey card of his c/o the San Jose Sharks in 34 days. Card got really badly creased and bent some how, but envelope and letter returned fine. He also answered my questions of...
Who was your favorite player growing up? "Pavel Bure"
What do you eat before a game? "Penne Pasta / chicken"
Lucas Kasper signed a Victory rookie card c/o the San Jose Sharks in 34 days. Also answered my questions....
Who was your favorite player growing up? "Robert Reichel"
Do you play any other sports? "Tennis"
4 fan packs today.
Canadians sent set of 4"x6" player cards and sweet looking bumper sticker.
Dallas Stars sent 4 player cards, felt pennant, Zubov magnet, and schedule.
Carolina Hurricanes sent schedule, set of player cards, and small bumper sticker.
Oilers sent 8x10 photo of Fernando Pisani, team logo magnet, temp tattoo, and 3 pocket schedules.
Peter Budaj returned my card unsigned but sent a signed photo, team logo sticker, and letter. In short the letter said he is to busy to personally sign every card he gets ttm, so please accept a signed photo and thanks for writting. It also mentioned he will only reply to one autograph request, so sending extra cards in your request won't get you extra signed photos. C/O the Colorado Avalanche in 3 months.
Thanks.
Today brought a Toronto Maple Leafs fan pack via email request. Inside it had 2 fold out schedules, 8 temp. tattoos, and a white wrist/sweat band with Leafs logo on it. Funny enough I used it to mop my brow while cleaning the gutters today.
Indeed. Its plush terry cloth kept my wrist warm and my head cool and dry. I was most pleased with its performance in both regards.
Saturday I got former player and now assistant coach Trent Yawney's auotgraph on a 1992-93 Parkhurst card c/o the San Jose Sharks. Took 1 week.
Milan Michalek signed my UD mvp dual jersey card c/o the San Jose Sharks in 3 months and 4 days.
Thanks to Brian for trading me the card to get it signed.
Patrick Eaves signed my card c/o the 'Canes in about 3.5 months. I asked him who his favorite player was growing up and if he plays any other sports.
Well done by Eaves, at least he reads his mail - he's got a nice graph. Plus I sent one early October!
I hope he signs your card too Whalerfan.
Today brought a card I thought was gone...
Bob Baun signed my 1956/57 Parkhurst reprint in 1 year and 9 months.
576 Stonebridge Lane
Pickering,On. L1W 3B3
Canada
Dany Heatley returned my card unsigned but sent a signed 4x6" card c/o the Ottowa Senators. This took so long to get back that I can only guess it was somewhere around 2 years.
Thanks. I will try an post a photo of some of my returns including the Heatley soon.
Today I got a nice return....
Devin Setuguchi signed my Victory Rookie card c/o the San Jose Sharks.
Sent 10/11/08 - rec 01/28-09
Two more today....
Jeremy Roenick signed 1 of 3 cards c/o the San Jose Sharks. Sent 10/11/08 - rec 01/29/09
Jonathan Cheechoo signed 1 of 2 cards c/o the San Jose Sharks. Sent 10/11/08 - rec 01/29/09
And to be fair, I did ask them to please sign my "card" not cards (plural) and the extras were for them to keep if they wanted too. I guess they didn't want too.
Congrats on your "Shark Streak"... First from Cheechoo I've seen for a while.
Thanks Mike. The Sharks are great signers with the few exceptions of Nabokov, Marleau, and Blake. Cheechoo has signed for me both times I tried. He isn't a fast signer, but he does sign.
Here is a photo of some of my recent returns...
I almost forgot the Heatley auto...
I got a fan pack from the San Jose Sharks on Saturday. Inside was three 4"x8" player postcards (Michalek, Cheechoo, and Vlasic) and a team pocket schedule.
It only took about 5 months to get.
Wow, only 5 months for a fan pack! Seriously at least you got good postcards...
Well, scratch another off my list of "Doesn't sign ttm".
Pierre-Marc Bouchard signed my 05 Parkhurst card c/o the Minnesota Wild. Sent Oct 11 2006 rec - April 13th 2009.
So only about two and a half year wait, forwarded from my old address that we moved from over a year ago, and on a .39 cent stamp with no postage due. But I got it!
Congrats on P.M.; always nice when a straggler comes home. He signed quickly c/o Houston a few years back.
Bernie Nicholls signed a card for me ttm.
It came back on a .39 cent stamp (no postage due). I sent it out so long ago that I can't remember when or where to. In fact, it was sent to our OLD address and the lady who lives there now knows us and dropped it off at my wifes work.
It came back on a DC super heroes stamp, so when ever those were released, that is when I sent it.
Johan Franzen signed my UD Rookie Class card c/o the Red Wings. Return time was one and a half years. He even added extra stamps to cover the postage increase.
Nice! With his contract extension he could afford some 2 cent stamps - ah just having some fun...
He would have had even more money for stamps if he got that bonus players get for winning the Stanley Cup.
It is crazy what these guys get paid for playing a game isn't it?
TThe Edmonton Oilers sent me a fan pack that I requested. Inside was 2 photocards, a temp. tattoo, and a sweet key chain that is in the shape of an Oilers jersey AND is a flashlight too.
I got a card back today signed by Keith Tkachuk. He was kind enough to add the extra postage and my old mail man had it forwarded to our new address since I sent out my letter to him FOUR years ago. I really thought that was a dead request, but I guess he got around to his mail after all.
Terrific return from Tkachuk! Plus it leaves hope for my 2 (04/12/05 & 08/13/08). OK, it's a stretch but you gotta believe...
You never know right! Maybe he is getting around to hitting the mail stack and yours is just waiting for him to do.
It was nice to get back since I didn't do any hockey TTM requests yet this season.
JasonS, Are You still around? and doing TTM's?
