Looks like SCF also.....stole.....one of TCC's newer features, the Gallery.  TCC's Gallery was officially announced on October 4; SCF's Gallery was announced on October 29.

I wouldn't say "stole", but it's safe to say that you're likely to see a sneak peek of any new SCF features by visiting here.

Honestly, the number of sites that are now copying features, messages, forum names, etc. from TCC speaks volumes about the success of this site. I'd much rather be copied than viewed as insignificant.

When you sing up, under your password they tell you to reffer 2 people because they dont advirtise.

By the way, that statement is inaccurate. They advertise through Google AdWords - just like TCC. In fact, their ads are often displayed on this site - including ones that they specifically are saying should be displayed here through a site-targetting feature.

I went on other sites but I still like TCC. The people on other sites seems to be a bit cocky to newcomers.

First of all, why dont you guys learn what you are talking about? SCFreaks is a great site. There is nothing wrong with it. Coming on here, and saying it's just another silly little trading site, is a huge understatement. This site, created in the Summer of 06, was created for the sole purpose of a safe trading community just like most forums. We dont appreciate you calling our site a "silly little trading site", just like you wouldt appreciate us calling this site the same. Truley, I don't think this is the best site out there, but that is just my opinion, but I chose to keep it to myself, just like you guys should. But hey, everyone has their own opinions.

I didn't criticize the site itself - I just don't care for the attitude of a certain person who happens to be a mod there. I'd rather just stick to TCC.

It was just in one incident, and possibly warranted; but I just don't like the attitude he had. It wasn't with me, so I probably don't have the right to 'report' it.

This was something that happened at SCF (which could have been warranted). What he did here, as Bob just pointed out, was not warranted.

Yes, everyone is entitled to their opinion. In addition, they are allowed to voice them here. Does SCF have a rule prohibiting the mention of other sites and/or linking to them or would someone be able to mention TradingCardCentral.com on your site?

However, the original poster went from being infatuated (sp?) with sports card freaks, but when others responded and said they thought it was just another "silly little trading site", you see how quickly he changes his mind.

That's the beauty of freedom to discuss and debate. The exact same thing happens with politics and other things in life. Some switch back and forth easily in what they think, while others do not. In the end, our approach is to allow openness and let collectors decide for themselves rather than to control the information on which decisions are made.

By the way, I understand that this approach is very different than most - or all - sites. It is our approach though and it works well.
