Finally got to watch RAW last night and heard the announcement. After watching Smackdown and seeing Edge Spear Clay outside the ring,I could see something wasnt right by the way Edge hit Clay. Here is one article about his retirement:

I don't think it can be contributed to just one hit, one match...anything like that. Like he said, it is something he has been dealing with for a while.
I, for one, and sad to not see him in a WWE ring anymore. There are plenty of memories & matches left behind, though.

It's sad. Edge was one of my favorite wrestler. I saw him on live shows on a few occasion and he was never dissapointing.
