Welcome to Batman1641's monthly football break.
Have you ever want to join a box break club and your favorite team is never available? Been there, done that. Well this is your chance to join and pick your team favorite. A couple of friends and I decided to start are own box break club because of the limited good teams available.Now lets take a look at the club rules:
(These rules may seem similar to another clubs rules, its just what my friends and I agreed upon)
All money collected will go to the break. I will pay for the shipping of all cards.
1. $20 a team, $20 for any additional team.
2. Club members will give input on what boxes to purchase.
3. Videos will be made of each box break and will be broadcast LIVE on UStream.
4. Team owners have first choice to either hold on to their team or choose an unclaimed team for the following month.
5. If a member does not reclaim their team(s) and does not participate in the break the following month, then their team(s) will be forfeited that month.
Our objective is to make all our club members happy. We want to make sure we send everyone a hit or two. Hits are classified as Game Used, Autographs, Printing Plates, serial numbered cards, refractors of all sorts, and redemptions. So, box preference is crucial. I will try to mix it up with at least 1 high end box, several middle to low end boxes, and 1 rookies box.
Rules for cards from unclaimed teams:
1. Hits from these teams will be randomly distributed to members by pulling names out of a hat and will be done live on the forum.
2. Claiming more than one team does increase your odds of winning.
3. Once you have been awarded an unclaimed hit, your name will be removed from the drawing (unless you have claimed more than 1 team).
4. If there are more unclaimed hits than members/claimed teams, then there will be a second round of drawings.
More deciding rules:
1. Cards with multiple teams represented will be decided by random.org between the owners of the teams on the card.
2. Cards with a player that is wearing a different jersey than what card says goes to team depicted on JERSEY, not by card.
There you go. Thats bout it. If there are any changes or additions in the rules, they will be posted here on the thread. I will always take suggestions.
Also There will be monthly giveaways. During the break on Ustream and sometime throughout the month.

Think we could try a box of 2008 Gridiron Gear as one of our low end boxes? The base cards are real nice looking and you get 3 game used/autos per box.

The Bowman Sterling was good for another group here, man they got some might fine stuff. Maybe they got all the good stuff though.

I also like the Donruss Classics. They have a nice balance to them and I like the way they look. For the 07 cards I was thinking of Upper Deck Trilogy Football Hobby Box. 9 packs with 9 hits for 100.

With the couple of boxes people have asked for so far this is what we are looking at. Remember that as of right now I am looking at this with 17 teams. My brother is going to pick up another team and so will I. That puts as of right now at $340.
07 UD Trilogy $100---9 hits
08 SPA $117---3 hits
08 Classics $74---3 hits
That leaves us $49. Hopefully we can get a couple more teams picked up in the next couple of weeks and we can add to these. Let me know what you guys think.

I have already chose some boxes. By choosing some boxes early we have a better chance at adding people. We have only chose 3 boxes and have a couple of weeks to go which means we can still add (I hope) another 2 or 3 boxes. Plus the boxes that are chosen with the money we have to spend so far are getting us alot of hits. I am hoping if more people join we can add 08 limited, and I would like to add another 07 product maybe Performance(3 autos for $50). And were not locked into these boxes. But I like the fact people are talking about what to bust it helps me learn more about you guys. Not just for this break but for future breaks.

Ok I have picked up Cleveland. My wife said she wants to buy a team and she bought the Eagles. We have 11 teams left. OK I would like to know when you guys want to do the break. Originally we had said the second week of march. So the 2 dates I have for when money is due are March 5 or March 12. This would give us a little more time to get some more teams sold. A couple of reasons. First is the price. What else is there in 08 that gives 9 hits for $100. Plus it gives teams that don't have big rookies this year to get them from the few boxes of last year that we do. If we pull an Adrian Peterson card I am sure 5toosweet would prefer it was an auto from 07 not 08. And the last reason is because it makes this break different than the rest of the football breaks. Everyone does 08 products. And I said when I started this I wanted to get a good mix of 07 and 08 products. When I look at the list I think we have done just that.

Hello everyone I came to a decision. I will be picking up the Buffalo Bills. Also I am going to pay the difference of price so that we can get the 07 Bowman sterling. That box also gives us 18 hits. That puts us at close to 40 hits. If anyone would like the bills or the browns seeing that we are doing the sterling let me know and you can have them. Good news and bad news. The boxes came in today. I recieved the 08 Bowman Sterling and the 08 SPA. I didn't get the 07 Bowman sterling. I look at everything and Inoticed Dave and Adms charged me for the boxes but were out of stock. I just got off the phone with them and they said they are refunding me the money. So here is the question. We have 153 dollars left over now. Do you want me to order another box of something now? And we wait until that box comes in to do the break or do you want me to put it into next months break budget? If you want to wait until next month I got myself a box of 06 sweet spot I could put in this months break if you guys want. I don't care one way or the other. Just let me know. I have to work at 3 so I will read what everyone wants to do when I get out at 1.
