Ok a lot was going on in the city yesterday. LA Dodgers, Celtics and a Knicks fan fest going on around Manhattan throughout the day. I wasn't able to go check out anything while I was doing the Dodgers. Some former players I missed were John Starks, Anthony Bonner, Larry Johnson and Bernard King. Also I could've seen some of the future NFL draft picks but I didn't really have much time. So anyway let me begin with the Dodgers, things certainly could've been better. Early on, we saw Joe Montana walking by, I was in disbelief. Signed for a few people. I decided to try to get him on a blank a few seconds later. Crossed the street and then called him from a couple feet behind but he wouldn't sign. Anyway back to the Dodgers: Coach Tim Wallach 2/2 J.P. Howell 1/1 Jerry Hairston Jr. 1/2 Matt Kemp 1/1 Hanley Ramirez on Marlins mini helmet (Didn't expect to get him) Ted Lilly 1/2 Adrian Gonzalez 1/2 Ramon Hernandez 2/2 Broadcaster Steve Lyons 1/1 (My first time getting Lyons, seems like he inscribes everything with 'PSYCHO'. At first I thought he was putting a proverb lol) I actually saw Celtics coach Doc Rivers out and about and greeted him. I had my stuff for him in my bag but didn't feel like getting it. As he was walking away I told him I'd get him later in the day. He laughed and said alright. Turns out I should've gotten him on one of my things. Later on I actually saw Danny Ainge, who has some top position with them. This time I went after him but he said that he doesn't sign. So after I got Kemp, I decided to go to the other spot to avoid missing anyone. 2 minutes later, Carl Crawford came out. I also missed Juan Uribe. Mark McGwire only signed for a couple people. There were quite a few people there later so a lot didn't sign. Among those that didn't sign were Kenley Jansen, Kershaw (pitching), Punto, Brandon League and Schumaker. Josh Beckett said maybe on the last day and coach Davey Lopes denied like 3 times on the day. Ethier wasn't really noticed as Gonzo was signing and same with Mattingly while Hanley was signing. I need to go back for this team next time....After this I went over to do the Celtics. This was like the Lakers a few months ago....just not as bad. It started out alright. A few graphers, one of them brought 2 young girls in the hope one of the bigger ones will sign...lol. Later on a few teen fans came by, 1 had a jersey. As time went by, randoms gathered. One of the downsides of having a slightly later gametime. There ended up being 40-50 people there at most. I still did alright, the crowd prevented a couple from signing. Shavlik Randolph 2/2 Brandon Bass 2/2 Jeff Green 2/2 Courtney Lee 2/2 Coach Doc Rivers 1/2 Jason Terry 1/2 When I asked Shavlik he said, "Not with you wearing that hat." (He went to Duke and I was wearing a UNC hat) First time seeing him, very nice guy. Avery Bradley, Tyronn Lue, Jordan Crawford, Chris Wilcox didn't sign. Pierce and Garnett (shocker) also didn't sign and Rondo I believe wasn't with the team. Also didn't see Terrence Williams and D.J. White unfortunately. After things were done I decided to check out MSG for what was going on, if any of those former players were around. I didn't see any but before I left I did see ESPN analyst Chris Broussard get out of a car and got a pic with him. Nice timing. As for the rest of the week, tomorrow is the Devils/Penguins. Final game of the season for the Devils so hopefully I can get a couple guys that I never can get. Also I'm aiming to do the Blue Jays and Phillies Friday and maybe some NFL draft picks, who knows. Saturday I may actually attend the draft with one of my friends. Should be cool. Thanks for reading.

Did the Phillies/Blue Jays today. Thought about trying for the NFL Draft a little too. Had a pretty lousy day. This is up there as one of my worst graphing days, especially when graphing 2 teams at the same time. Didn't think it would actually be this bad. Maicer Izturis 1/2 Mark DeRosa 1/1 Brandon Morrow 2/2 Coach Luis Rivera 1/1 Steve Delabar 1/1 Melky Cabrera 1/2 Broadcaster Larry Andersen 1/1 Very few Phillies actually signed, such as John Mayberry and Ben Revere. I wasn't able to get Revere and Brett Lawrie (freaking randoms were in my way). Could've gotten Charlie Manuel but he left too early. Depressing day. I'm already getting tired of baseball. Not much going on for next week, maybe the Athletics late in the week. Praying the Rangers end up playing the Bruins in the first round. I think you can guess why. Well thanks for reading.

Today was nice, did the Athletics. I didn't have a ton of stuff for these guys so I did well. Manager Bob Melvin 1/1 John Jaso 2/2 Eric Sogard 1/1 A.J. Griffin on blank 4x6 Yoenis Cespedes on Cuban flag 8x10 Luke Montz 1/1 Coach Mike Gallego 2/2 Pat Neshek 2 4x6s Tommy Milone on A's mini helmet Seth Smith 1/1 Broadcaster Ray Fosse on blank 4x6 Cespedes racked. I don't know how long that'll last. A.J. Griffin was awesome too. I missed Jerry Blevins and Jarrod Parker. Chili Davis, Bartolo Colon and Brandon Moss were the only ones that really declined. The first time, Bartolo didn't sign for the crowd and then he ignored us when he left. By that time, there was only 2 of us... Didn't see Josh Reddick or Chris Young. Next week might do the White Sox and Capitals and maybe the Pirates. Thanks for reading.

Had a good day today doing the White Sox, ended strongly. Originally I was thinking of doing them tomorrow and then do the Capitals afterwards but there's rain and thunder in the forecast. Ken Harrelson on blank 4x6 (Tried to point how I wanted it signed but did it the wrong way) Matt Lindstrom 2/2 Jesse Crain 1/1 Alexei Ramirez 1/2 Addison Reed 1/1 Matt Thornton 2/2 Hector Giminez 2/2 Casper Wells 1/1 Jordan Danks 1/1 Tyler Flowers 1/1 Jake Peavy 8x10 (I didn't ask to get it personalized) Paul Konerko 8x10 Didn't see some of the coaches. It's a pretty rare day that I don't get a coach. Wasn't aware one of the guys was Bobby Thigpen. Gordon Beckham, De Aza, Dunn, Rios, Hector Santiago and Dewayne Wise didn't sign. Didn't see Chris Sale. Very successful day, things went nicely. Also happened to see Rich Eisen, very nice guy. Next up I might do Pirates later this week. Thanks for reading.

Thanks Steve. Got back to things today. Did the Cincinnati Reds today. But the main reason I went into the city today was for Will Smith, he was on Letterman. Today sucked quantity-wise, but ended up with some good players. For Will I had 3 things: Season 1 of Fresh Prince, printed out an 8x10 and I had a cool NBA Hoops card of him from 91. First, the Reds: Devin Mesoraco 1/1 Votto 1/1 Jay Bruce 1/2 Jonathan Broxton 1/1 Homer Bailey 1/2 Bailey is something else, finally got him today. I was maybe the 6th person to get him and he's like "Oh here's another goddamn one." Lol...no comment. Rest of the team was pretty rough. Chapman, Cozart, Dusty, Hanigan, Latos and Sean Marshall were among the Reds who declined to sign. Mike Leake signed for a couple and that was it and same with Cueto. Missed coach Billy Hatcher. I had to leave early to go for Will Smith. At least I got there early enough to get a spot in front. Around an hour and 45 minutes later (didn't think it would take that long), he arrived. Couldn't even get him! Too many people. Waited another hour for him to leave, and he came out. Will Smith 1/3 I finally got his attention near the end and he signed the Fresh Prince DVD. I had the card on top too but just signed the DVD. And my day was over. At least I got Will, but wasted a bit of time. Tomorrow I will be back at it. I'm going to do the Reds a little later in the day and then go after the Bruins. As fate would have it, I have another shot at Boston! If you recall, when the Bruins played the Devils over here, it was pouring postgame. Jagr did sign though. Just hoping I can get Jaromir Jagr this time around. Thanks for reading guys.

Yesterday was another somewhat disappointing day where if it wasn't for one person, the day would've been a total waste. Showed up a little later than normal for the Reds. Didn't miss much, mainly Cueto. Votto 1/1 Zack Cozart 1/2 Ryan Hanigan 1/1 I was late for Miguel Cairo. Mike Leake wouldn't sign (starting). Chapman ignored everyone once again. Glad I don't need him on anything anymore. Missed Marshall. Once again I couldn't stick around til the end because I was going after the Bruins. Was really hoping to get Jagr. Zdeno Chara 8x10 Patrice Bergeron 1/2 Milan Lucic 2/2 (forgot to rub down the 2nd one, forgot it was a glossy one) Jagr would not sign, said he would before the next game. Really? Only 5 people there and 2 of them are teens. Now I'm thinking if I'm actually going tomorrow. I am depressing myself at this moment just thinking about us being rejected yesterday. Nathan Horton didn't sign. There was a group of over 5 players hanging around outside and then boarded the bus. Only person to come over was Lucic. Only other notable guy in the group was Seguin. Wasn't able to get David Krejci, wouldn't come back to me. No coaches signed, didn't see Cam Neely. On the way back home I checked Fallon for J. Cole, he was performing, didn't see any graphers around. Have to see if I end up going back tomorrow for Jagr. Next up could be the Mets and Yankees Monday. Thanks for reading.

Thanks Brian. Hope everyone had a nice Memorial Day. Did the Mets/Yankees at Citi yesterday. Didn't think I'd do so poorly. Around 40 people scattered around. John Buck 2/2 Daniel Murphy 1/1 Mike Baxter 8x10 for someone doubling up Ron Darling 1/1 This was one of my worst days graphing Citi. Couldn't even add one to my 2013 team 8x10! Missed Robert Carson. Few others signed that I didn't need. One of the very few Yankees we actually saw we later found out was Reid Brignac. Cano didn't sign. Did get a picture with broadcaster Al Leiter. Forgot that he was a broadcaster, again. However, the day was alright. At this moment, Doc Gooden and John Franco are at the SNY Studios signing. One of my friends is going so I gave him something for Doc and Franco, hoping he can get them for me too. Red Sox and Indians series coming up so I'll have to see about them. Thanks for reading.

I did the Cardinals today, had a decent day finally. Coach John Mabry 2/2 Coach Derek Lilliquist 1/1 Manager Mike Matheny 1/2 Lance Lynn 1/1 Daniel Descalso 1/1 Carlos Beltran on Mets mini helmet Wigginton 1/2 Edward Mujica 2/2 - card and Marlins '12 8x10 Randy Choate on Marlins '12 8x10 Allen Craig 1/2 Lynn returned and decided to get him on a Cardinals mini helmet too Jake Westbrook 1/1 I thought about stopping by the Mets team store to check for a Beltran 8x10 but oh well. Shelby Miller, Jose Oquendo, Bengie Molina, Michael Wacha and Wainwright didn't sign. Wasn't able to get coach Aldrete (signed a lot), Yadier, Freese and Holliday. Next up, might do the Cubs Friday. Thanks for reading.

Yesterday I attended an expo featuring a mix of some former players. Was a little worried when I saw a sign saying one autograph per person per player and no pictures with but that wasn't really enforced. It only applied with Dwight Gooden (agent with him) and Gossage. All they provided were blank 4x6s. Bernie Williams had his own line and you can only get signed this 5x7 card they provided. I didn't bother going for him. Wesley Walker 2/2 - 8x10 and card Dwight Gooden 8x10 David Carr 3/3 (I had 2 cards and then asked if he'd mind signing another) Mickey Rivers 4x6 (Also signed an 8x10 for my friend, I was very lucky to get him) Sid Fernandez 3/3 - 86 Mets 8x10 and 2 cards Sean Landeta 1/0 Kerry Kittles 2/2, 1/1 - 35th anniversary poster, 8x10 and card Goose Gossage 8x10 Antrell Rolle 1/1 [ Tiki Barber was there but he was never up front signing. Heard he had to leave early. I was lucky to even get Mickey Rivers. I was a few people away from getting him as he was getting up to finally leave. Luckily from where I was standing, he'd be walking right past me. He didn't sign for me initially but a grapher I've known for a while was working there and he told Mickey to sign for me. Afterwards is when I got Sid, Landeta and company. After I got Sid I talked to Landeta for a little, about how I saw him a couple years ago at Community Day at Darryl Strawberry's restaurant. Very nice guy. I told him that I was sorry I didn't have anything for him to sign and said that was no problem. He had a couple cards with him and signed one for me. After I got Gossage, I hung around checking out everything else. A lot of the guys held clinics. I wasn't able to get Antrell Rolle while I was waiting in line but he signed after his clinic wrapped up. A little before I left, I saw Gossage leaving. My friend had to leave early so I wanted to try and get his 8x10 signed. I called him and asked if he could sign. He said he already signed for me and I tried to explain it's for my friend. He said he got me a few times (?) but he signed (put HOF without asking) and then he signed for a few others. Well that was a sweet day. This week I might do the Dodgers a couple days and maybe the Rays later in the week. Thanks for reading.

Graphed the Rays today. There wasn't much for me to go for, I didn't really have to go. Just hoped I could get Wil Myers early. David Price wouldn't be there, beginning rehab starts. Jamey Wright 2/3 Jose Molina 1/2 Roberto Hernandez 2/2 Coach Dave Martinez 1/1 Kyle Farnsworth 1/2 Alex Torres 1/1 Broadcaster Brian Anderson on 4x6 pic with (Asked him to put "The Crime Dog", cool story) Yunel Escobar 1/1 Wasn't able to get Hellickson and Moore. Couple others signed such as Chris Archer, Peralta, coach Maddon. Sam Fuld, Longoria, Matt Joyce, Kelly Johnson, James Loney, Myers, Rodney and Zobrist didn't sign. Next week might do the Rangers and NBA Draft. Thanks for reading.

Did the Texas Rangers and NBA Draft prospects yesterday. Long day, Rangers were almost a total waste. Checked out the prospects first, missed Trey Burke by 15 minutes. Was there for like 25 minutes then went for the Rangers. As soon as I got there David Murphy was signing, got him on 2 cards. Maybe 30 minutes later coach Dave Magadan signed. Got him on my '86 Mets 8x10 and a card. I could've just left after that, because that was the last guy I got. There were maybe 10 people at most. I knew the team was bad but didn't think it would actually turn out this rough. There were a few guys we couldn't ID. Holland, Jurickson, Pierzynski, Jeff Baker, Berkman, Beltre, Kinsler, Nelson Cruz and Darvish were some that wouldn't sign. Ron Washington signed earlier and Geovany Soto signed a couple, couldn't get to him in time. On to basketball...that went a bit better. Nerlens Noel on blank 8x10 (Did a signing) Anthony Bennett on blank 4x6 Trey Burke 8x10 (Signing) Gorgui Dieng on blank 4x6 Missed Oladipo unfortunately. Wasn't able to get Alex Len and Steven Adams. Their security's efforts were not necessary, c'mon. Got a couple good autos but it's not a good day when your autograph per hour ratio is below 1. Hopefully I can print the blanks after the right images surface in a few days. I don't know if I'll be doing anything for the draft tomorrow. Might do the Nationals on Friday though. Thanks for reading.

Decided to do the Nationals today, Harper on a rehab assignment could mean a slightly smaller crowd and the ability to get guys that I haven't yet. Glad I went, have to try again next series. Broadcaster F.P. Santangelo 1/1 Gio Gonzalez on mini helmet Chris Marrero 1/1 Dan Haren 2/2 Denard Span 1/2 Ryan Zimmerman 1/1 Fernando Abad 1/1 Chad Tracy 2/2 Rafael Soriano 1/2 Started out with only a few graphers so that really helped, there were just over 10 at most. Davey Johnson left a little early. Among the non-signers; Desmond, J Zimmerman, Lombardozzi, Rendon, Kurt Suzuki. Near the end Strasburg returned from golfing and wouldn't sign. When finally on his way, he wouldn't sign for the 4 of us, 2 of them teens. "At the stadium." Of course. Pleased with what I brought home. Up next for me are the Diamondbacks next week, really hope it's successful. Thanks for reading.

Thanks Kirk. Gio is such a nice guy. Heard Stras actually signed Sunday. I sort of did the Diamondbacks at the last minute today. I considered yesterday but didn't with the rain etc. By the time I was in bed, it was still unknown if I would be going. I woke up as if I was going, to check the forecast. Didn't seem very promising so I went back to bed. Couple hours later I woke up and checked for the hell of it. T-storms were out of the equation and there'd barely be any rain. I actually thought about going, I still had a little time. I wouldn't be on time but I wouldn't be THAT late. Things looked pretty bad at first. I was late for some players and things weren't going my way. No lie, I thought I had a chance to get shutout. But things steadily got better: Wil Nieves 2/2 Martin Prado 1/1 (Man he was rude to this teen) Goldschmidt on mini helmet Aaron Hill 1/2 Broadcaster Bob Brenly 1/1 Broadcaster Tom Candiotti 2/2 Missed some when I got there: Bloomquist, Montero, Nagy and Turner Ward to name a few. Wade Miley, Cliff Pennington and Kubel didn't sign for me. Mad about Wade. Missed Don Baylor and Patrick Corbin (twice, didn't sign leaving). David Hernandez, Parra, Gregorious, Cody Ross and Tony Sipp were a few that didn't sign. Chavez wasn't around. About Prado...one of teens went after him and got him to sign. Prado said something like, "You better not ###### come near me tomorrow." Said nothing to me. So at least this all wasn't a total waste, got one of the ones I hoped for. No idea if I'm going tomorrow. It could be decided with a coin flip. Thanks for reading.

Ok so yesterday I went to the Futures and celebrity softball game for All-Star Weekend and today graphed the All-Stars. Lousy past 2 days. Today was even more ridiculous, had a bad hunch about today. So first, about yesterday. It definitely was a good atmosphere before the Futures game. Every player was signing. They mostly signed here and there, multiple short periods. Dilson Herrera on program (Wasn't sure if I should get him on the cover or inside on his spot. After him decided to get them on the inside) Jordan Lennerton in program Henry Urrutia on Cuban flag 8x10 and in program Andre Rienza in program Just a few of the ones I wasn't able to get were Miguel Sano, Xander Bogaerts and Oscar Taveras. But after the game and before the softball game I couldn't get anything. Just wasn't in the right spot, way too crowded. Same thing after the game. Most of the signers ended up going on the visitors side. Should've tried to get over there sooner. Mike Piazza was doing a decent job signing. Only person I got outside was... John Franco on mini helmet Barely got him. Missed getting Kevin James twice outside. Kevin Millar signed but didn't know he'd be there. Now for today... Huge waste. Wasn't early enough to get Jim Leyland and Alex Gordon. There's at least one other I can't remember at the moment. Later on Leyland wouldn't sign. I just hate that. Only person I got was... Jason Kipnis 1/1 Wainwright only signed a couple and didn't see Salvador Perez signing. Also missed Chris Sale, was somewhere else. Just want to forget about today. Only other thing was I got a picture with Tim Kurkjian. Tomorrow I'll be doing the last day of the FanFest. Jesse Orosco, Strawberry, Orlando Cepeda, Amos Otis, Rollie Fingers, Gaylord Perry and Juan Marichal will be there. Maybe I'll go for Orosco or Strawberry, depends on the timing. If I have the time to get all 4 HOFs that would be amazing, but we'll see...wish me luck. With these past couple days, I need it.

Well did the last day of FanFest at Javits Center. Everything went just how I hoped. Here was the schedule: 10-12 Jesse Orosco, Darryl Strawberry (Didn't try for him), Orlando Cepeda 2-4 Juan Marichal, Gaylord Perry, Amos Otis, Rollie Fingers Everybody at different stations, except for Perry & Otis. Got there a little after 10. Checked out Orosco first, line was being prematurely cut off. After that I hopped onto Cepeda's line. Got him on a ball. I still had enough time for Orosco, got him on the 86 Mets piece and a card. A little afterwards I checked Marichal's station at 12:15. Few rows of people already waiting so I joined them. Got Marichal in 25-30 minutes once the signing started, added HOF 83. After that I got in Gaylord's line, shorter than Rollie's. Wasn't too long. Got him to put HOF 91. I had nothing for Amos Otis. By how things were going I was on pace to Fingers as well. And I did, with 15 minutes to spare. Added HOF 92 as I requested. Success, everything went as I planned for once. After done graphing I enjoyed some of the activities. Tons and tons to do. If you're a kid, would look amazing. I checked out some of the cards, they had a bunch of Perez Steele cards, not familiar with them but they feature players from decades ago. They were only 2 bucks so I decided to get a Hack Wilson, why not? Also decided to get a set of 3 All-Star coins from those penny cranks for 3 bucks. Also got a few other free things. So here's everything from today: Orlando Cepeda SS ROMLB Jesse Orosco on 86 Mets piece and card Juan Marichal SS ROMLB w/ HOF 83 Gaylord Perry SS ROMLB w/ HOF 91 Rollie Fingers SS ROMLB w/ HOF 92 Quality over quantity today. And boy was it good. As for what's next...might go for the Mets and Phillies at Citi Friday. Might even go to the game, who knows. Thanks for reading.

So I finally did the Mets today. Would've done the Braves hotel Monday but skipped on them. Also would've done the Mets last Friday but it was just too hot. Did alright for today. Added Josh Edgin, Eric Young Jr, Carlos Torres, Jenrry Mejia, Andrew Brown, David Aardsma and Omar Quintanilla to 2013 Mets team 8x10 Daniel Murphy 1/1 Also got Quintanilla on a card Tim Hudson on A's mini helmet Evan Gattis on Braves mini helmet Missed Gonzalez Germen. Very pleased to get Tim Hudson, on an A's item especially. Up next for me, might do Rays Friday. Could go to Mets/Royals game next Friday. Thanks for reading.

Did the Rays today. Sort of average day. Sam Fuld 2/2 Roberto Hernandez 2/2 Cesar Ramos 1/1 Kyle Farnsworth 1/1 Jeremy Hellickson 1/2 Kelly Johnson 2/2 Matt Moore on Rays mini helmet Disappointed I couldn't get Price, looks like he shut it down at the hotel. Kind of still owes me one from last season. Missed Jamey Wright, Dave Martinez and Fernando Rodney. Price, Jose Molina, Jake McGee, Matt Joyce, James Loney, Yunel Escobar and Zobrist wouldn't sign. Longoria, Myers and Luke Scott probably snuck away. Couple of others signed, such as Chris Archer, Joe Maddon and Sean Rodriguez. Don't know if I'll be doing the final series for the Rays near the end of the season. Next week the Royals come. I think I'm going to go to the game next Friday to graph the Mets and Royals, that's it for the series. Maybe I'll go to a minor league game next week too, we'll see. Thanks for reading.
