NY's 2009 Donruss Classics Case Break!: OK guys, after a couple of months off (got engaged, been house shopping, went on vacation), I'm back with Classics. Finally getting into the better 2009 football products = time to start busting some boxes! Classics again looks like a great product.

Team Selection: The break will require 16 members. I have applied a tiered pricing for this break in order to fairly price the better teams as compared to the rest. Teams will cost $105, $95, $85 or $75 (updated to 100, 90, 80, 75, 70). and we will need to fill all the higher priced slots and the 3 remaining lower price slots to make the break work. The pricing was determined based on other auction style breaks as well as my judgement from reviewing rookies and the checklist (thought this would be a fair way and hopefully will help fill the break). All of the remaining 16 teams will be assigned by random.org which will be performed live on USTREAM.tv and recorded as well.

Break Cost: The fees collected will cover the cases, all paypal fees, supplies and shipping. The case will be purchased from BLOWOUTCARDS.COM, DACardworld, or Atlantasportscards, or other reputable dealer depending on who can offer the best pricing.

The Break: Will occur live on USTREAM.TV at a later determined date, hopefully we fill quickly and can break if a few weeks. Pics of all hits and recordings of videos will also be posted in the thread following the break.

Payment: Only paypal will be accepted and is due when break fills prior to the random unless other arrangements are made with me.

Shipping: All cards will be shipping with top loaders, soft sleeves, team bags, etc. as you can expect from any decent break and will be shipped with delivery confirmation. I will ship all hits, rookies, numbered cards, inserts and superstar base cards. If you want the rest of your base please include an additional $2.00 for additional shipping as I priced the break with the assumption I wouldn't ship all base.

Team Determination and Cards with multiple Teams: All cards will be given to the holder of the team shown on the card. The team in writing will take precedent over the pictured team if for some reason someone is pictured in there old teams uni but the card has written there new team. Any with multiple teams on the cards will be randomized via random.org live on USTREAM.TV. Any retired stars that played for multiple teams and they are featured in there college uniform on the card will go to the team that they made there first start for. Any cut signatures or other items not related to an current NFL team or Franchise will be randomed.

Yep, I'm glad to have some rookies for the Jets to root for/collect this year too, even if one of them beet up on my Nittany Lions in the Rose bowl. I did enjoy watching Texas Tech over the past few years as I had Herrel QB'ing my college fantasy football team for the past two seasons so I watched them when I could.

Contacted Chris at blowout and he was able to give me a better deal through the beginning of next week than was originally budgeted for. Also have an email in to Atlanta Sportscards. I have updated pricing to reflect $2.50 less per spot in the hopes we can order the case at it's current price.

Lets fill this by the end of the weekend so we can get the case before it is released and prices go up!

Thanks Steve! Sorry ya missed them again...maybe next one....but of course you take another team....haha...if not I'll keep you posted on the next break I do for your Bears. I'm going to Chicago in July for work for a few days.....too bad its not football season...and there are no baseball games then either 'cause it's over the all-star break...but hopefully get to check out the city a little bit. Last time went to Wrigley for a game but didn't get to see the rest of the city.

Last time I went to Chicago was 05 and itching to get back but with my 2 little girls its a bit hard. Just in the process of booking a 3 week vacation to Florida for next year though, going Oct time so I hope the schedule is kind and I can catch a game in Tampa.

Only three spots left to fill. The remaining three spots have been reduced to $77.50. If we can get the case ordered in the next couple of days, we should be fine budget-wise reducing the last three spots to this price. Dolphins, Colts, Vikings are all still available at this price or any of the other 16 remaining teams in the initial post. These are very good teams for this price for a case of classics. I have slightly reduced pricing again for everyone as I will go ahead and order the case with a presell price I was just able to confirm....so I need some more payments to come in to cover me fronting the cash. I will PM everyone with payments due.

So, two more lucky people will be able to get in on this case break at the low price of $72! Still good teams left. Who will it be?

Hopefully it won't be hard to fill for this price with some of the good remaining teams, but I will take another one if need be myself.

Thanks guys. Received your payments. Only a few more payments to go that are expected in the next day or so.

As mentioned, I went ahead and ordered the case yesterday from Atlantasportscards. I know some folks have had issues with them recently but Josh at Atlanta has alway been good to me when I've ordered and I expect the case to arrive without any problems. He actually got the cards in and was able to ship yesterday!!!!

Shipment is expected tommorrow so I'll try to get home from work somehow and sign for the package in the afternoon (gives me a good reason to "work from home" in the afternoon...haha!).

Unfortunately, I will be heading out of town tommorrow late afternoon to head up to my fiance's hometown in PA for the weekend, which means we might have to wait untill I return Sunday to break. If you guys were really anxious to break sooner, I could potentially move the show to PA and broadcast from there at some point Fri/Sat but not sure how well there internet connection will work for broadcasting and not sure the exact schedule of our plans so might be last minute decision as to what time I could do it. Assuming all payments come in by tommorrow, another potential option is to do a couple boxes preview (depending on when the boxes arrive) tommorrow and save the rest for Sunday/Monday. Let me know your guys thoughts. Maybe everyone else will have plans for the 4th too and Sunday or Monday will work better for everyone. Just let me know. Thanks.

I'd be happy with a preview of a couple of boxes if the case is in hand and then break the rest when you are home TK. I am at a family wedding on Saturday and probably hung over all day Sunday anyhow!

I can go ahead and do the random this evening. I usually wait till all payments are in, but I'm only waiting on a few payments from members who break with me on a regular basis and I consider friends on here, so I have no problem doing the random prior to receiving them.

I will most likely get on around 6:30-7:00 ET and start a link to ustream. I like to get at least one member from the break to join the random live and I will record it for posting as well.

On another note:

CASE JUST ARRIVED! UPS showed up a little earlier than I thought and case is here. I guess since I wasn't sure if we would be able to have time to do part of it today and it seems Sunday will work for most people, lets plan on a break time starting around 4:30-5:30 ET on Sunday (depending on what time I get back from out of town). Should be back by 4:30 but in case I'm late you guys know I'm on my way.

I'm getting excited and wish I had more time before we leave this afternoon to bust. Sorry again to make you guys wait, but I'm just glad I ordered it early rather than waiting till full/payments in so we can at least have it ready to go Sunday! You know what they say...but good things come to those who wait!!!!

We do have a 4th of July - its in between the 3rd and the 5th

You couldn't catch me out with that one! I wish we did have a celebration or 2 over here though, we hardly get any public holidays.

I will try not to get too drunk at the wedding Saturday, I celebrate my 6th wedding anniversary then on Sunday so I'm hoping for a nice meal and some good wine and then you can pull me some monster hits from the group break.

Down to a day to go! I wonder if the case is getting lonely in the empty house. I hope with me turning the AC off for a few days that the case is not too hot! I also forgot to tell the case to feed my fish when I was gone...I hope there alive......haha.

Anyway, was able to make a quick trip yesterday to the card shop where I am visiting in PA and bought three packs of Classics to get a sneak peak before tommorrow. And unbelievably, in a three pack purchase I pulled a Calvin Johnson GU Jersey #/250 and a Mark Sanchez Saturday Stars Signature #/25 and better yet #6/25.....his jersey #. I was really excited and you just can't beet the feeling of pulling one of the exact cards you wanted from the product, and in only three packs. Just love that thrill...probably why I love to gamble as well.....haha.

Hopefully this was just a sign that we all will pull some nice stuff out of the case tommorrow.....and now I don't even have to pull myself a Sanchez from the case anymore and I'll still be happy.

Overall not too bad. 58 total hits. Had some nice patches, some nice rookie autos, and some nice low numbered inserts and rookies. Didn't hit any autos of the top few rookies but not too bad a case anyway. I will be getting transactions posted and the cards organized for shipment over the next several days. Thanks everyone for joining, it was a lot of fun to bust this case with you guys.

i have to say buddy you did a great job so far i liked the way you waited for everyone to get into the break made sure we could see it was much appricated. the recordings were posted immidatly and then on tcc the images of the main hits vn vn i have to say it was the most injoyable break ive had so far and id be pleased to do more later in the year look foward to all the nice cards thanks

TK always does a nice job. Been in a number of his breaks and I believe he was the first host I dealt with who used UStream. Live breaks are the only way to go as I don't like youtube breaks anymore.

Must admit I was half asleep over here and I switched off for the last 2 boxes. I think the Harvin must have come out one of those - perhaps I would have had more luck not watching any of the boxes

OK guys. Got cards in toploaders and/or soft sleaves and did team organization of cards tonight. It was a lot of cards to sort. I will do packaging tommorrow/Wednesday and hopefully get all cards shipped Wednesday. Sorry for taking a few days on this but it was a lot of cards to go through and will take time to package as well. I will include superstar base cards unless you guys request anything different. Gladly put one of each base in too of your teams instead if you prefer that, just let me know. Thanks.

All cards have been shipped! Thanks for everyone for joining the break. Early heads up to you guys, I will be posting my next break which will be a case of 2009 R&S (12 Boxes). Like to give my previous breakers first action on my next breaks. Pricing will be as follows:
First four teams selected: $72.50 (actually first three, since I will take the Jets), Next 4 teams selected $60, last eight teams $50. Let me know if your interested and want to get in early on a team or want to be first in line at a lower price if you want to risk your team lasting to a lower price.
