I agree completely . . .

SAD!

I enjoyed him as a player simply because of his
individuality. Most Superstars tend to play the
press and fans with the same ole' safe, tried and
true, boring jargon.

Manny had no problems with saying what he
felt, no matter the consequences. I have nothing
but respect for that kind of blunt and endearing
attitude. Yes, the ego was huge. I think that if
I was in the top 1% of the the top 4% on the planet
at my livelihood, my ego would be rather huge as
well. Not to mention that the reason for being
in that limited company depends upon that ego.

I don't condone the use of Performance Enhancing
Drugs.

It's just a shame that his career has ended on this
very sour note.

I swear this is a different article than the one I read on here earlier. I thought it said if he was reinstated at some point, MLB will consider the suspension served.

I don't think this is the last we'll see of Manny.

I thought Manny had a shot for the Hall of Fame despite his previous suspension... after this incident I say no way....

This is extremely unfortunate. I truly feel, at least to the younger generation such as myself, that Manny's talents as such a great hitter are underrated because of his whole "Manny being Manny" scheme. His antics took away from the fact that he probably was, in my opinion, one of the best 5-10 pure hitters that I have seen (just turned 19 Tuesday so havent seen many but you get the point). It is just sad to see that he had to take this route, but it is what it is...

I feel like this was a smart move for him. Have him get the 100 game suspension and him receive a lot of negative publicity, which would probably cancel all chance of him being in the HOF. Or, retire, and have the good times of Manny cancel out the 100 game suspension and hope he can get into the HOF.

Agreed. Even if other PED-users do make it, I don't believe he will. He was suspended once and faced another.

I thought I read something in a paper in NY the other day (So it must be true right..LOL) that he was one of the large number that tested possitive in the "do we have a problem test" in the early 2000s. I know all the names were supposed to stay private but we all know how that tuned out...

I would agree with the earlier comment that he took the easy road out. Not faulting him as it is his choice..

Have fun with your dad on vacation Manny. (Think he is going to Spain)

-2007 topps tx superbowl ticket stub auto versions only. Base set of stubs is done!
-2001-2006 topps tix super tix superbowl ticket stub cards and auto version.
-Colts Super Bowl tickets from any Super Bowl they played in. Prefer full tickets but would be open to stubs as well. Only tickets from the Manning ERA!
